This laptop lives up to the HP name. I bought it during the the Black Friday blowout sales and got a great price on it partly due to it being an older model. It's only drawback is that even with its 6MB capacity it doesn't pick up the 5 internet speed so I had to buy a usb device to give it the capability to pick that up so I would stop getting kicked off the net in the middle of watching a movie. Although the 2.4 is sufficient for most, I happen to live in an area where there's lots of interference. Devices that have built in capability will automatically pick up the 5 but those that don't, like this HP, need an extra boost. Other than that the pixels are great, the larger screen makes movie and you tube watching more enjoyable and it's overall a great laptop that does everything I need it to do.

The HP Notebook 17.3 in. screen is great, with the keypad for the numbers on the right side of keyboard. The battery pack holds a charge for up to about 7 hours before needing to be recharged again. It was an easy set-up and the instructions were simple enough that anyone can understand it.

This laptop meets my needs, which is something reliable for home that allows me to create documents, surf the web, and stream video, if needed. The keyboard is a little stiff, but I hope it loosens up with use. All in all, it has a clear screen, it's large enough, and it is very responsive.

When my laptop screen went dead and the Geeks told me that the motherboard went bad, I decided to upgrade to a newer laptop. A blueshirt was very helpful in helping me decide which laptop to buy. I like the larger screen, the 1T hard drive and quickness. I appreciate the knowledge of the Best Buy staff.

I was looking for something specifically for playing The Sims 4 and this bad boy delivered. I mainly use a console for gaming but wanted something more portable to take away from home. This sucker is fast and will get the job done. I haven't tried any current generation games yet but I have no problem with last gen games. I'm definitely satisfied with my purchase!

Was able to snag this laptop on the deal of the day. Needed the larger screen and it's definitely paid off. Starts up quick, runs quick definitely does the job I need it to. Use it to Search internet, work on numerous Excel spreadsheets, even played a few games with no problems whatsoever. If you can get it for $400, definitely do it

I enjoyed this laptop very much! Great big screen and got the job done for school and every day use. Gaming not really recommended, but can get away with it at very low settings lol.

Very nice large screen/easy set up/great speed/love it

Purchased this laptop (open box purchase) after my Toshiba suddenly stopped working. It was just what I needed.. light weight (compared to my previous laptop) however i was disappointed that Bluetooth capability didn't come standard.

Have used this for a year now and it does everything I need it to. Very pleased with this purchase

This purchase was something of an accident, as I had gone to Best Buy that day with the intention of getting an entirely different laptop (long story). After all is said and done, I do not regret getting this in it's place. Getting 1TB of storage with an i5 processor for under 500$ was truly a steal. The keyboard is quick and responsive, and the touchpad is very smooth and intuitive to use the gestures (suggest updating touchpad driver after setup). Haven't had any complaints using Windows 10, seems easy enough once you realize that it isn't Windows 7/XP. Would definitely suggest purchasing this for anyone that doesn't need a hardcore gaming setup. I got this item as a "Like New" Open Box purchase.

This is a large laptop but is suprisingly light. Has everything that I needed at least, running programs such as quickbooks it makes it much easier due to the large screen. Battery life is great as well, can easily work two hours unplugged and still have battery life left.

I got a great deal on Black Friday. The HP 17-x114dx has everything I need. Great laptop.Still learning Windows 10 but easy to navigate. No problems yet! The Best Buy staff was very helpful.

Functions are straightforward and the screen size makes it very easy to see. The battery life is not as good as listed. Lucky to have it run for 90 minutes before it wants to shutdown.

I've had this computer for about 2 years and have not had any problems out of it! The screen resolution is good and the computer is easy to function.

The screen resolution is great, and love that I can watch HD streaming and it looks good. DVD/CD drive works great, love that there is a number keypad; makes spreadsheets so much easier. it came loaded with windows 10, which is not great, but I do enjoy the cool pictures from around the world. I hate that I can't uninstall xbox software that came pre loaded. Touch pad is SUPER sensitive, so that is good, but takes some getting used to. There are only 3 usb ports, so that's annoying as my previous laptop had 4. But the one usb port is a 3.0 so that is pretty sweet.. Overall, I am very happy with my new laptop.

This was a gift and a great one it was! So easy to get used to and the screen size was nice! Still everything is compact and the unit is light to transport.

My husband was delightfully surprised with his new laptop, the HP 17.3. It has all the storage and speed he needed. 3 months later, he is still pleased.

Decent laptop for the price. It does what I need it to do which is access the internet and Office tools. Doesn't have all the additional specs but that you get what you pay for.
