Love it!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this laptop. I had to make a rush purchase for college with just a day prior to class starting! I do have to say I am very impressed at the speed and options this laptop has. Plus the large screen is awesome and no more squinting to see what I am working on. I included a snippet (included) of what my desktop looks like. Highly recommend!

HP 17.3 inch laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP 17.3 inch was a very pleasant surprise. With the features it comes with such as 8 gigs of ram, a 250 GB sad, and a 2.40 GHZ CPU, I didn't expect a whole lot. The laptop was on sale for $399 dollars which didn't add to my confidence level. I decided to gamble on it anyhow and I absolutely love it. I did upgrade the ram to 16 gigs and this machine is a monster. The video is superb. Extremely clear graphics and very responsive. I am a web developer and use it to do coding. I do not game on it and I'm not sure if it would be good for gaming, but as an everyday business use machine, it is spectacular. Keyboard is not backlit so it becomes a small bit difficult to use in low light areas. Battery seeks to hold a charge for several hours, but not much longer.

HP Laptop Review
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very happy with my purchase. It is much faster than my last HP laptop. The display is very nice and vibrant. The only problem I have is the keyboard is silver and the letters are silver so I have to be careful typing. It is larger than I wanted, but the price was in my range, so all in all I’m happy.

This laptop does not have an Ethernet port lol!!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP did the work for this one star review geez! Firstly let me start of by saying that I have had this laptop for about 4 months now and I’ve never really been able to do anything with it but search the internet lol. It doesn’t recognize USB drives out of the box I’m sure it wouldn’t recognize my iPhone or even the hp brand printer that I purchased that’s still brand new in the box lol I’m laughing on the outside but crying on the inside I paid about $800 for this… Laptop it’s slow as heck downloading and installing updates not entirely the computers fault my WiFi is being jammed long story. It still installs painfully slow I’ve spent about 4 hours total on the phone with tech support taking remote access of this laptop to no avail lol it’s still stuck in S mode trust me you do not want to find out what S mode is it’s a nightmare! I believe this laptop and others like it without an Ethernet port are subject to fragmented downloads of critical updates if the connection speed is to slow like mine is. Mind you I’m sure I’ve spent more money on Nighthawks, Surfboard combos, and Netgear extenders than most have. Pay close attention to this next bit of Intel, WiFi and all WiFi only connected devices are all subject to WiFi blockers and these blockers are so good at what they do they have made WiFI obsolete!! Sounds like the ramblings of a mad man right okay. With all the tech that I’ve purchased just last year I should theoretically have at lest 120 mbps upload and around 90-120 mbps downloads ha! My upload speed is around 30mbps my download mbps is around 80mbps or vise Versa you do the math my speed from spectrum is 300mbps not the fastest by far and I’m no internet genius but that doesn’t seem right. Spectrum is clueless dumbfounded lol. The moral of this review is do not waste your money on WiFi only connected devices WiFi is doomed thanks to Amazon sellers I’m including a screen shot of my iPhone on this post look at my WiFi signal strength a half of a bar it’s like that everyday 7 days a week until I leave my neighborhood my cellphone signal is also compromised same deal a half of a bar I’m saying all of this to help keep people safe so not trust WiFi it could ruin your life like it did mine.

Great laptop for an older or less advanced user
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my dad who needed a replacement laptop. He’s older and didn’t need anything too fancy, but he wanted a big screen. I got this for $400 and added 16GB of RAM and it is fast and efficient. The battery life is decent — not as good as some laptops, but far better than the machine we are replacing. Replacing the RAM was just a matter of removing some screws on the back and removing the backplate. I did a clean install of Windows 11 as opposed to disabling S Mode and removing the pre-installed software, and if you do that, just know you’ll need to have the Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers ready. For the price, this is fast, quiet and should last him years to come.

Great 17.3 Laptop for the Price
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Another good quality HP laptop. I use it for work, and home office and it can handle any task with ease. I do a lot of photo editing and Excel spreadsheets projects and no problems. I also use a lot of web-based programs and this laptop has no issues. The i5 processor is powerful enough for what I use my laptop for and the solid state drive makes the laptop even faster. The 17.3 screen is perfect for me since I work with Spreadsheets a lot and the keyboard feels good and is very responsible.

Give it a look!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased this laptop as a gift for a friend who needed to update her computer and likes a big screen. Set-up was pretty straightforward following the on screen prompts. You Tube videos or asking Google guided me through any questions that arose. Very quick and should be more than enough memory and storage. On sale at a great price. My friend is enjoying it already.

Overall Great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I updated my old HP laptop with this version, it seems fast enough for all the tasks I use it for. its light weight, much later than my older laptop. The screen is large, and the laptop is thin. This was a great purchase for a good price. My only wish is that you could hook up 2 monitors to this but there is only one hdmi port, I tried using the mini usb and the computer will not recognize the additional monitor using the adaptor, the adaptor works in my minicomputer and recognizes this fine so it must be the laptop is not capable of using 2 additional monitors? I use a separate keyboard and mouse I find it easier to type than using the laptop keyboard.

Very good laptop
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this HP Laptop mainly for presentation purposes with Microsoft 365 PowerPoint. The larger screen makes setting up slides much easier and the performance of the laptop has been flawless.

GREAT Machine
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine is awesome - have not had any trouble with the exception of losing my WI-FI but that wasn't the PC issue. Technition fixed within 15 minutes. Love the Geek Squad. I have purchased my last 3 pc's here. It is fast and can carry a charge for a long time. Love it

I really like the size light weight easy to use! Geek squad were friendly knowledgeable caring staff! You may need a portable drive
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought 2 of these, One for me and one for my wife to replace older HP 17" laptops. Overall we both like the performance and display. The hinges on my old Laptop had to be repaired twice, these seem to be more durable. My drawbacks is going from 1TB to 256 GB, My most used program uses up over 60 GB of that storage alone. I have had to move all my Photos and Music files to a portable drive to maintain space on the drive, Unfortunately it seems like large storage seems to be a thing of the past in most laptops now, I also lost a CD Drive, and memory card slots. I can get around this using adapters and USB slots but here to the number of USB slots was reduced. Since I use a USB mouse one of those is dedicated for that and have to sometime juggle with the remaining ports to work with the portable drives or memory cards. For the price we paid we are very satisfied, about the same as what we paid for the older units, I would prefer more guts but for the price I am happy with it and and can work around the drawbacks.
