This laptop had all the features I was looking for at a very good price. It also had a larger screen than I thought I could find. In general, I am very happy with the purchase.

I purchased this computer to replace my 7 year old HP laptop since it was no longer functioning. This computer delivers what it promises. I noticed that it comes per-downloaded with way too many programs I will not use and they caused the computer to run slowly. I unpinned, and uninstalled, and removed from start up many of the programs to only the programs I wanted, and now it is a fast-operating computer. Also, I uninstalled pre-downloaded MacAfee and dowload the security program Best Buy provides for 6 months and that, too, increased the speed. Now I am very happy with the computer and hope to get 7 years use from this one.

We purchased this laptop for our son who is a graphic design major in college. He loves it. It has great speed and can handle all the programs he uses.

This is a fantastic laptop, and with the 100 dollar price cut within a month of it being released, it's an unrivaled value. I'll just get right to it. 1.) Speed The Intel i7 7500U Processor is everything I'd hoped it would be. I use my laptop primarily for music production and, frankly, I haven't been able to find anything that this laptop couldn't handle with ease. Theoretically, I should be using a quad-core in case I decide to record an entire symphony or something, but the hyper-threading on this dual core makes it to where I honestly can't tell the difference with what I'm using it for. The 8gb of RAM is apparently sufficient, although the laptop does support up to 16gb, should you want to upgrade. This is by far the snappiest laptop I've ever used. 2.) Display- Nice size. The 1600x900 resolution is certainly not the best on the market, but it's perfectly fine as far as I'm concerned. You won't find a 4k capable machine at this price point anyway. It's not a touch screen, which is perfect for me because I don't want one. 3.) Graphics The HD Graphics 620 is an integrated video card, so you're not going to be playing the newest, most taxing titles at full-specs. Although, I did read somewhere online that somebody was able to make Overwatch run at a pretty impressive level, given the integrated card. I don't plan on using this laptop for gaming, nor should anyone else. It's not built for it, simply put, but it is capable to some extent. 4.) Sound I saw someone else complaining about the audio from the on-board speakers sounding muffled, but I don't have any complaints in that area. The sound was loud, clear, and very much on par with what I'd expect from a laptop of this nature. I tend to use earbuds for most things anyway, so this isn't something I was terribly concerned with. I could see how the speakers being on the bottom of the computer might be off-putting to some people if they were planning to use those speakers primarily, but it really doesn't seem to affect the sound quality very much, if at all. 5.) Keyboard Everything works perfectly. The keyboard has a nice, sturdy feel and every key responds with even the lightest touch. It's not back-lit, but again, it's all about the price point. I'll go ahead and lump the touch pad in with this entry as well, since I don't think a touch pad warrants its own entry. It works fine. It has the two-finger scroll feature and responds very well. The one minor issue I do have with it is that it seems like I have to tap a little harder than I'd like to when doing a double-tap. I NEVER use the left mouse button, so this is something I do notice a lot. I think I've gotten used to it though. Best Buy sells a nice wireless mouse for around 7 dollars, so I think I'll get one of those and just call it good. 6.) Battery Life Okay, so here's where I possibly should have waited a bit to post this review. However, reviews are always something I plan on doing, but never actually get around to. I just happened to be looking at this page to see if any reviews had mentioned the battery life, and figured I'd go ahead and review while I had the time. The specs list a battery life of 7.5 hours. From the moment I first powered my computer on, at a full charge it read that I have about 3 hours. I've been getting precisely that from day one. I've had this laptop for about 2 weeks now. I'm convinced that something might be wrong with this laptop in particular, and I plan on going to get it checked out as soon as I can. I have no doubts that Best Buy will make good on my concerns, as they always have in the past. 7.) Design This was of the least importance to me, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's impressively light, seems nice and sturdy, and has a sleek gradient on the cover as well as on both sides of the touch pad. It's minimalist, but still rather sexy. All in all, I wanted something fast that didn't have all the bells and whistles that would make it cost over $1,000. The processor speed and RAM were of utmost importance to me. I haven't been disappointed in either, so I'm very pleased with the laptop. The only problems I've had were very minor, and the loss of a star was due to the pretty awful battery life I've been getting. I will gladly update this review when this issue has been addressed. If you're looking for a super fast laptop with a more than reasonable price tag, this is where it's at.

I have not have any problems to this point. When connected via ethernet, the speed is very satisfying. 1TB of memory is a bonus plus the I7 power.

Fast processor and great graphics quality. Speaker needs to be better positioned for better sound quality.

My new laptop is an extremely nice upgrade from my old one. Much quicker, lighter and easier to hold

I use my unit for work, pleasure, as well as flight training. Which takes up plenty of memory. Speed functionality.

This is an OK laptop. Really don't like the textured black case; it picks up dust, lint, etc. Fan is noisy. For some reason, the WiFi Internet connection is much slower than our 3 year-old HP laptop. Not certain why. For the price, I would still recommend it, but mention the shortcomings. Wanted a larger screen and got that ;-)

This PC is perfect for my home use. Kids, homework, light gaming. Screen is super large. Speed is fast. Capacity is great.

Pros: Great processing power, you can have multiple programs running without feeling the lag. Windows open in a flash, and the large screen allows you to use this laptop for work with ease. Cons: The resolution is so-so, it's not the best but it will do. I don't intend to use this as a device to watch movies in or play videogames but I'm sure most users won't see it as a drawback. Boot time takes a little longer than it's supposed to but once I tweak it here and there it will start up faster.

Was looking for a good laptop for a reasonable price. The Hewlett Packard is a powerful laptop and it was on sale.

this is a great laptop: Large screen, full keyboard, very fast and plenty of space to store everything you need.

It is a very fast and cheap laptop. In spite of the fact that it has a very big screen it is not so heavy.

We bought 3 for our kids to do their homework on at home. they love the big screen and the easy to use.
