I researched Chromebooks for many months. I ended up with this machine because of the nice specs. I love the back lit keyboard. I love the trackpad - best ever experienced. Love the screen. Love the speed and ease of use. I had a lesser Chromebook for 4 years. I loved the OS. This one exceeded my expectations.

Not your average cheap Chromebook with no memory and no RAM. Very speedy. I don't have to worry about running multiple programs at once. This has the ability to access Play Store which is nice. Great battery life. I still have my MacBook Pro, but I can't take that with me to class all day without worrying about plugging it in. I take this with me, use it all day, and still have a small amount of battery left. So my MBP sits at home attached to a monitor and sort of works as a desktop. I have but two gripes. I would like more functionality on the base PDF viewer. I need to be able to crop PDFs and it's not very easy to do without another program. The other gripe is sometimes the keyboard misses a keystroke. Debating on whether to reach out for warranty service. Otherwise, it's a great little machine. It's lightweight and has a nice screen. It is not a plastic body. It feels sturdy. Oh, I guess I do have one more complaint. Since it can be a tablet, sometimes the screen wants to fall back naturally when I would like it to stay up. It doesn't fall when using it - only when picking it up when it's open.

I was looking for the perfect Chromebook with 8GB of Ram, and I have to say I was astounded by the ease of process of finding one that was made this year (2021, bought in February 2021) and was also Out-Of-Box for a slightly higher discount than the HUGE discount already given for this model. The website was easy to use, and pickup was flawless, even when I picked up during a stimulus check purchasing rush in my area. The employees handled the rush during Covid extremely well, and I had no issues with getting the computer. Setup was simple and straightforward. I love my new computer and it's very fast and clean, obviously well taken care of. I got the Geek Squad refurbished OOB and it seems new. I am very, very happy with this investment and expect it to last me a very long time going forward, I see no issues whatsoever. Thank you Best Buy for your solid commitment to excellence.

I was hesitant at first for getting a chromebook - I wasn't sure what features a traditional laptop/OS I would be missing out on by going full chrome. I had researched and considered apple macbooks/air, dell xps, huawei matebook pro - but was disappointed that no one has perfected the laptop yet in 2019. Huawei was close- but couldn't wait for it to hit the $1k pricepoint I wanted. Then i saw the reviews of this HP. I'll say - I don't like HP. Had one in the past, it has major bloatware and was crap. I didn't like the spectre or the other hp stuff. This one, I could tolerate - actually love. This one had one of the best specs for the price and with ChromeOS, I didn't have to worry about bloatware. The keyboard is backlit and comfortable to type. Screen size is great (I wish it had the 3:2 ratio that Pixelbook has, but it is a nice to have rather than a must have. This has 2 usb-c, usb-a(a must), SD card slot (a must) and a top mount web-cam (meh). Having used it for 2 weeks before my return grace period, I can say my wife and I are pretty happy. The slate blue with white cover looks really great and the tablet mode is really handy for us. I'm glad I made the switch. We keep our old macbook pro and asus laptops around "just in case", but haven't really been reaching for it. This is light enough that I am looking forward to taking it with us on our vacation for browsing or moving watching on the plane. Since it charges with USB-C, we have the added bonus of also charging our phones with the laptop charger. The price point (on sale at the time)and specs makes this a really great buy in my opinion.

I bought for my daughter and she loves it, I tried too and feels really good the keyboard and the touchscreen too and run very fast the applications, it is a little bit sensitive the mouse pad but in general is good product. The Chrome is also very stylish looking, white and gold is a good match. I hope last long enough for the rest of the school year and the next.

Ok so I finally decided to make the switch to Chrome OS and I'm glad I did. This OS is very similar to any Android phone. I have a Pixel and so everything is familiar. It's like a laptop and a phone had a baby. While there are some apps that don't play right on this due to being incompatible, but when they are they work amazingly. I specifically got this computer because of the 8GB ram and the core i3 processor. I have to say this thing performs better than any computer I've ever had. I've had plenty of i3 computers that take a million years to start up a dont feel snappy but this one is great. This is a great family computer for kids who are used to smartphones and older folks who use Android. If you are using it to do gaming, don't bother (unless you are using Google stadia) but if this computer is for browsing the web and getting email and watching movies and videos and homework, get it, you won't be disappointed. I only gave it 4 stars because not every app on the app store is compatible and it can be annoying to install an app that doesnt work, but that's a function of chrome and not this computer.

Didn’t want to carry around a monster and this chromebook is the perfect size. Nice to see what I’m doing and have it all be so easy especially the typing, reason for moving from my iPad. I’m confident this unit would please most users of chromebooks, as far as I’m concerned it’s perfect. Perfect includes getting such a nice unit on sale.

I'm not going to get into the specs as they are readily available within easy search, but I will summarize in saying that this is nearing a premium Chromebook. While there are some more premium examples, they also come at a much more premium price. While I had been traveling with a full-size Windows laptop, I was getting tired of lugging the thing around and decided to go with a much lighter and more useful 2-1 Chromebook. I am not disappointed. If you are looking for higher end CB without dropping a higher end number of dollars, you can't go wrong with this great little but well-performing unit.

This is a great chromebook everything about it is excellent. Don't know why people are complaining about the screen brightness cause it is plenty bright and colors pop and look great. Keyboard works excellent and has good backlighting on the keyboard that looks clean. Web cam works great with a nice picture. The sound is allso great has very nice sound for a chromebook. Very snappy and responsive with 8gb ram and with the multitouch screen it lets you do all kinds of stuff. The hinges on it feel nice and strong and when you fold it over it snaps in place. The frame of it is aluminum and does not flex at all. The whole chromebook is very nicely put together and feels nice in the hands. Bought 2 of these for my boys that are 12 and 14 so you know if there was a problem they would let you know. If you looking for a very nice chromebook I would highly recommend spending a little extra on this one.

For those times when I don't need my heavy, battery guzzling i7 Windows 15.6" laptop, I wanted a Chromebook for every day browsing, streaming and checking email. I have a tendency to open many windows at a time which could tie up a less powerful Chromebook and could not see getting a premium ($1000 and up) when my windows laptop was still going to handle any heavy mobile computing. After doing a lot of research online, it came down to this, the HP X360 14C or the comparably priced Acer Chromebook Spin 713. Although the Acer would have been my first chose due to the 3:2 ratio screen, BestBuy had an open box HP for over $260 off at the time. I have not bogged the HP down yet no matter what I've done with it. I love the top firing speakers for watching video; although I do switch to headphones for movies and music to get some low end oomph. So far it hasn't asked me to plug it in to continue using it. Everything just works and works well. I gave it a 5 for value due to catching a terrific deal, otherwise, a 4.

I got this for my younger son with intentions on keeping it for a few years before replacing it. It has great battery life, good speed, the picture is HD, and works well. It has enough internal storage to allow multiple things to be loaded locally and does have an expansion slot for further storage. Overall great purchase!

This is a great step up from a basic plasticky Chromebook, both in aesthetics and performance. Boots up fast and the screen is gorgeous. Great battery life that will get you through the entire day and then some. My only quibble, and it's a minor one, is that it would have been nice to have a full-size SD slot instead of microSD, but I work around that with an adapter.

Easy to use, slick and fast. Light weight and love touch screen

Fast and able to handle whatever you need to do, this Chromebook won't disappoint. It's a beautiful construction, too! It has a crisp touchscreen display and a comfortable keyboard. The best feature is the ample memory which allows you to open/run several apps/sites smoothly at once.

This chromebook is the perfect size and weight for travelling. Since it links to your google account you can access different apps and features such as photos, drive, documents, email and more. It also has two charging ports on each side. The speaker is good quality too. Overall this chromebook is sleek, fast, efficienct and portable.

I was hesitant to purchase a chromebook as an alternative for my laptop but this little thing has change my opinion. They are perfect for the daily task a student needs to fulfill during the day. Battery life is great. Size is perfect. And the best part I was able to find a case for it! Speed and performance wise is good to.

I purchased this Chromebook on sale ($399) as a x-mas gift for my mom. It is faster than expected and there is plenty of RAM. Build quality is great and the laptop is not too heavy for her. Great buy on sale, but probably won't have purchased it at regular price ($599). She is very happy with her new Chromebook.

Love it! I like that it turns on instantly, no need to boot up as in a laptop. Ready when you need it. Touch screen works great. It has a great battery and is very quick. The reason I did not rate it a 5 is because it is a little heavier than I expected and a little dimmer. It is not as bright as other laptops.

Lightweight & easy to transport. Large screen makes it easy to edit documents & look at pages on the Internet. The keyboard has a nice touch. The touchscreen makes it easy to take class notes. Fast processor means that you don't have to wait when you switch from one process to another.

I have only had my Chromebook for 11 days and so far so good. It is lightweight and easy to carry, the battery lasts all day and is super fast.
