Bought as part of a bundle with a HP computer. After setup the monitor acted as it would not adjust properly. The contrast was so bad, that just shifting yourself in your chair would make the screen contrast change. It was looking over someone's shoulder while they were on their laptop. Thought it was defective so I returned it. The new one was the exact same way. Returned that and got an Acer S200HL for $10.00 more and am very happy with it.

The monitor was pretty easy to set up but, soon after we started using it, the background of the screen continually "moved from right to left". It made you dizzy when you worked at the computer, so we took it back and traded for another of the same model. It did the exact same thing, so we hooked up another old, smaller monitor we had laying around....it worked fine. We took the HP monitor back and exchanged it for a different brand. The lesser-known brand we traded it for works great! I'm usually an HP fan, but these two monitors disappointed me.

This unit was fairly easy to hook up right out of the box. It has an HDMI port, but I did not have an HDMI cable, so nothing further on that. When I turned the unit on, it worked ok for maybe 15 seconds then started generating lightening bolts of color across the screen until the picture went black. Just to make sure I hadn't done something wrong, I foolishly called HP. After first telling me that I hadn't bought it that day in the store but amonth ago, HP support proceeded to offer to ship me a refurbished unit to replace this non-working new unit. Disappointing to say the least. I have not had problems with HP products in the past and had actually had a good experience with PC support in the past. I am not sure if the company culture has changed or they are just trying to cut corners. I was contacted after the fact and when I told them how disappointed I was in the call help, they offered me a USD stand-alone hard drive or other similar value item to make it up to me...so perhaps this was just a bad day to call them. I ended up returning unit to the store and got a different brand in replacement at the same price which had no problems.

Normally HP products are of excellent quality. However, in this case the display screen failed after less than three years, with the left 50% of the display partially brightened and horizontally lined, making viewing poor. Would not purchase this monitor again. Warranty was only for a year, so now we're stuck with a defective monitor.

It worked great until I started playing minecraft and then the brightness on the screen went completely up and it won't change back to the regular screen. I heard this is normal with asus

Not worth the money. I bought it cheap but I would have much rather spent more for better color. Everything appears different than any of the other Monitors at my work place

I think I got a defective unit, as the screen turns yellow. It started about a week ago. I will be returning the unit to the store for replacement.

exchanged first monitor for another same problem loose connection on back of monitor must be a design issue

The image quality with via is bad. The unit sits at one odd angle.

Came in a bundle deal. Not something I would buy unless it was bundled.

Purchased as a CCTV monitor and would not display anything!

I got this monitor because of the high reviews that it had received, plus the fact that it was on sale. However, I returned it after a day of use. The problem with this monitor is that it has ONE VIEWING ANGLE. If you are not sitting directly in front of the monitor at a certain distance the screen looks too bright, washed out, and dull. I tried everything to fix this problem. I would not recommend this product to anyone and am shocked that it has such high reviews.

I watch online tv and movies with my PC. This monitor turns black if you watch movies and are below the level of the monitor. It's great if you are right in front of it. But it washes out and turns all the darker colors black if you move towards the sides or below head level of the monitor.

I thought I was getting a good deal on this monitor and I have had good experiences with HP in the past, but I was very disappointed in this poor quality monitor. You get what you pay for. Spend a little more money for a much better screen.

Very poor colors, all blacks looked grey even at low brightness settings. Terrible viewing angle, you have to sit at perfect eye level with the monitor. If you're tall, you would have to lower your chair all the way down, or the picture is to bright. While standing all you see is a white screen. I can't believe so many people gave this monitor high ratings. My 6 year old Acer which cost me $100 is far superior.

I have never been disappointed with HP until I purchased this 20-inch monitor! Could not make adequate picture adjustments to make it usable. Returned it and purchased an Insignia.

Had this monitor for just over a year and of course once out of warranty it decides to break. The color has always been off but I got it on sale and thought I'd deal with it, but now it is broken completely. I've had a dell monitor for 10 years and never had a problem. Will never buy an HP monitor again.

I recommend that you buy something like the HP 2211x which costs more and is larger but it has a much higher level of quality.
