The other monitor wasn't a HP but because the CPU is, I wanted a HP monitor to match. The first monitor I purchased was an open box item. Although I was assured the Geek Squad had inspected it, the frame started coming apart within days of setting it up. I returned it and decided to take a chance by purchasing the same monitor in new condition. I've been using it for several weeks now and haven't had any problems with it. For the money, I think it's a great value. And definitely better than the previous monitor I was using.
