It worked just as advertised. If you're a gamer looking for a high refresh rate monitor but don't want all the bells and whistles such as 4k, this is the monitor for you. Comes with AMD FreeSync to ensure that buttery smooth 144Hz.

This is the only 144hz TN monitor at 21.5", which makes it stand on its own. Why does this matter? Because some people take gaming serious, but can't have anything larger or can't fit anything larger than 21.5"-22" in their gaming area. 144hz or greater refresh rates is also important for competitive gaming, and TN panels, as opposed to IPS, have faster response times, which equals to more fluid motion in games. There's only two problems with this monitor. One, it doesn't have more than 1 custom preset. I like to have one brighter preset for gaming, and one for desktop use at night, so it doesn't fry my eye balls. Second, it doesn't have a true 1ms response time without using the fastest overdrive setting (overvoltage), which causes too much inverse ghosting. It's 5ms otherwise, which is too slow for a modern gaming monitor. Either way, shout out to HP for making a true gaming monitor (high refresh rate in a TN panel) at this size. If any top monitor manufacturer made a 360hz TN or even a 240hz TN at this size, I would buy it in a heart beat *HINT HINT*

nice little jem ...note its 120 for hdmi wire and 144 for dp wire pc mode but i tried both there really isn't any difference..they say some people can se a diference dam near upto a thousand htz on a stress test situation but I see truly no change from 120 to 240 and I feel technology isn't there to put an easy amount of stress on even a high end computer. I do beleave there is a noticeable smoothnes between 60 and 120 bc of how framerates work to ur monitor with htz capabilities. Perfect all around monitor ...great for gaming.

Purchased as a secondary monitor for my setup. It works great. I have it setup with an HDMI splitter so that it can switch off between an XBOX and my second display for my PC. Colors are solid, refresh rate is great, and the built in speakers work when needed.

This is a good product if you’re looking for a second monitor. At it’s price point it’s clearly not going to produce high-end graphics. But for my needs, it’s just fine. It’s quality and workmanship are good and it was easy to connect to my MacBook. My only criticism is that there’s a slight green tint in text when I scroll quickly. I’m not sure why that happens. Maybe the pixels don’t change fast enough. Neither HP nor Apple were able to offer any solutions to solve this problem. Overall I think this is good product and is a great value for your money. Just don’t have too high of expectations.

Excellent looking monitor with great specs. I got it on sale so it definitely was worth it in my eyes. I haven’t looked into it much but the only downside is the buttons on the bottom to adjust it are a little wonky, but I’m constantly switching it from my laptop to my consoles.

Works with 120 fps on the next gen consoles. It works through HDMI on my Xbox Series S and I get 120 fps in games that support it. For $130 it’s great!

I can't say I know how it compares to other monitors in its class, but this seems to be an excellent monitor, clear and easy to use. Internal speakers also come in handy. Keep in mind if your computer does not have an HDMI or VGA port you will need an adapter.
