The majority of my computer use involves research and writing, though I do occasionally play simple games. In either instance, this monitor provides sharp, clear text and graphics, and vivid colors. On copies of hand-written historical documents the ability to easily expand the page size without losing clarity enhances online research. At a price under $150.00, it would be difficult to find a better monitor.

The only reason this didn't receive 5 stars is because even though the products packaging was undamaged, there was a noticeable scratch on the bottom sliver trim of the screen. This product was on sale and it was around the holidays so I didn't want to bother customer service with something that wasn't actually a hardware malfunction. That being said, this monitor is very thin and clean cut. The border around the screen is thin as well so it fills almost the whole monitor. Unfortunately, I only purchased 1 when they were on sale so I will be waiting until they go on sale again and I will be purchasing another. Still satisfied with the product.

I bought it specifically for gaming. I didn't want anything fancy I hadn't bought a monitor for gaming before and this one was perfect for the price.

I'd been wanting a bigger monitor for a long time, but the problems with my desktop prompted replacing both. I chose this monitor as a companion to my desktop, also HP. It is huge compared to my old one, with very clear display and beautiful color for my aging eyes. It took me a while to figure out the best viewing angle, but now that I have found it, I am extremely satisfied.

The ratio rate is fast and work well in small area it has no glare and it help a lot, if you turn off the light, it is easy on the eyes, over all it is a good purchase.

My old monitor was losing pixels and was mid-2000 technology, (not to mention very squarish) so decided I was due an upgrade. This one had fairly good reviews, was on sale ($60 off regular price) and doesn't overwhelm my desk space, so it's been a good choice. No problems other than to get used to reading across a screen which is double the width of my old one!
