A growing number of people today are doing much if not all of their computing on phone and tablet screens. More on laptops that usually top out at 15 inches (or less). While fine for basic tasks, sometimes you need more screen space, especially when photo and video editing, or doing a video chat call with a class or office. The HP M24f monitor hits that sweet spot at 24 inches (23.8 diagonally, actually), where it gives you a lot more space to work on, but isn’t so large it overwhelms your eyes or can’t fit in a smaller workspace area. The M24f has a 1080p / 70Hz resolution which is just fine for something this size, is very bright, and has a 99% rated sRGB color range for accurate colors, and they look really nice on this screen. Mine had zero dead pixels (yay!). The stand comes in two pieces which basically just snap onto the monitor and a screw on the bottom secures it; note though, the stand does not adjust in terms of height, but does tilt forward and back easily for the best angle. The monitor has a nice wide viewing range of 178 degrees, meaning you don’t have to be right in front of it to see the clarity and brightness – you can be a bit off to the side, or others around you can see it just as well as you do, which not every monitor can claim – and it’s accurate in this case as even off to the side I could see everything just as clearly as in front. Since the bezels on three sides are incredibly thin, this makes for a nice viewing experience. There’s a built-in blue light filter that helps to reduce eye strain as well, that stays on automatically all of the time, which comes in handy when you are having to stare at the screen for longer periods of time. I tend to get a headache after a couple of hours of monitor time and this must work because so far I haven’t had this issue with the M24f. A snap-off piece on the back of the stand has a cable management clip so you can better hide cables behind the monitor and keep the desk looking cleaner. A small row of adjustment buttons along with the power button sit on the underside. Now, keep in mind this is a “no thrills” monitor in terms of extras on the case, meaning there are no USB or USB-C ports on the back, and no built-in web cam. You cannot mount it on a wall. You have the monitor and stand with an older style VGA port and a HDMI port on the back to connect to a desktop, laptop, or other device that can handle either of those connections (a HDMI cable is included in the box). The power cord port and adjustment buttons on the bottom round it off, so it’s basic in terms of no extra fluff, but at under $200, the price reflects that. You still get a very good, sharp, and bright monitor that doesn’t use a ton of power via it’s 25 watt power adapter. At barely more than 5 pounds and overall VERY thin, you can carry it around and move it to wherever you need it and it’s not ugly, so you can leave it out all of the time. For those who have computers that are compatible with “AMD FreeSync”, it’s built into the M24f, and it synchronizes the monitor’s refresh rate with your graphics card and reduces screen stutter and lag. HP Display Center software is an option as well, to allow you to adjust settings via your computer if you prefer more control over the standard buttons. I really like the HP M24f. It has the basics I need, is just the right size without being “tv sized”, and has a very good level of sharpness, brightness, and color accuracy for my needs. It compliments a desktop and a laptop as well. For again, under $200, I think it’s well worth the price for what you get. Recommended and I give it 5 stars based on what you get for the price.

Overall a solid work monitor. I added one as a se ond monitor and it works great with it's twin. This new monitor works seamlessly with the docking station. This does not work with the versa adapters, and that sucks.

it's a bad quality monitor. I bought this monitor 2 months ago, and today it cracked, as the pictures show, there's no physical damage and I don't even touch it often, but the monitor cracked from internally, the customer service agent refused to cover it and told me has to pay for the repair. All my other old monitors in the same room like dell, ViewSonic were there longer and display well, only this one crack. So disappointed.

I"m writing a review early but so far I like this monitor a lot. Thinking about ordering another one to have the dual setup. I love the brightness and it looks great when i'm watching tv on it. The setup was easy and works great with my HP laptop. I tried a Samsung curved 27" and LG. Took them both back. I'll be keeping this one. I'd definitely recommend

HP - 24" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor (HDMI, VGA) - Silver and Black Setting up this sleek monitor is very straight forward. First, you connect the two parts of the tiltable stand and then insert the monitor into the assembled stand. Once that’s done, connect the monitor to your computer using either the supplied HDMI cable or your own VGA cable (not supplied). (It’s nice having the option to connect via either HDMI or VGA, depending on which slot(s) you have open on the computer you’re connecting the monitor to.) Finally, connect the power cable and you’re in business. Once you’re connected, turn the monitor on (the controls are on the underside of the monitor on the right side) and you’re find yourself looking at a gorgeous monitor that’s probably large enough for most situations. However, there’s also a 27-inch version of this monitor if you feel you need even more screen space. Some included features: • IPS technology for 178 degrees ultra-wide viewing angles • HP Eye Ease with Eyesafe® Certification • Integrated cable management • Full HD display • HP Display Center software • Energy efficient design • 1920 x 1080 Resolution • One-year parts and service warranty If you’re looking for a really nice monitor to ease the eye strain as you work on your day-to-day business, this would certainly be an ideal choice.

The HP M24f is high quality 1080p monitor with an excellent design and feature set. Image Quality Though 1920x1080 isn't a high resolution for a 24" display it sure looks good on this monitor! The colors are rich and vibrant! The viewing angle is excellent too. I can look at it from sharp angles horizontally or vertically and the image is still visible. I was surprised when I realized it has a low blue light mode that's always on. In fact, I opened an image of a color wheel and it looked normal and perfect. I use three monitors for work, this being the third, and comparing images across the three this one looks the brightest and the colors look as good or better than on the others. So I don't know how they're doing it but they have a way to reduce blue light being emitted without hurting the color quality - at least not that I could notice. It does have a "night mode" and that makes the display look like I would expect for a mode that reduces blue light. Obviously it's taking out a lot more blue but that's what it's supposed to do. The fact that I can have reduced blue light all the time without noticing it is awesome! The monitor is "eyesafe Display" certified which apparently has to do with reducing blue light and maintaining high color quality. There is also an "HP Enhance +" feature in the "Color" options. It seems to adjust the sharpness of what's on the display. I tried getting photos to show the difference it makes but that didn't work and since it's an effect applied by the monitor I can't get a screenshot showing the difference either. Anyway, it makes fine details more visible. For instance, hair on someone's head or details of a mountain in the distance in a photo. I've never seen a monitor do that! Design I like the thin top and side bezels of this monitor. I also like the design of the base while it doesn't swivel side to side it does tilt up and down and you can always turn the whole unit side to side anyway. I took some pictures of the base and the cable management for you to see. The base is easy to put together and the cable management works very well to run the power and video cables. It won't get too crazy since there is only one HDMI port and one VGA port. They get points for including VGA! While not used as often anymore there are still tons of systems out there that have VGA and no HDMI so it's good to see it there. There are no USB or audio ports on it. This monitor also supports AMD FreeSync for gaming. Ease of use I've worked with many different on screen menu systems for monitors. It seems like every monitor has a different one. I like this the best by far! Take a look at my pictures. There are four buttons plus the power button under the bottom right side of the monitor. The power button is easy to find because there's a bump with the power LED right next to it. Then, to activate and use the on screen display just press any one of the four buttons. Then you will see soft buttons pop up on the screen, one above each button. It's very self-explanatory and easy to get used to. You can even re-assign three of the four default soft buttons if you want.

Hey everyone! So, I recently upgraded my setup with the HP 24" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor in Silver and Black, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer! First things first, let's talk about the design. This monitor is sleek and modern, with a stylish combination of silver and black that looks great on any desk. It's got a slim profile that doesn't take up too much space, perfect for those of us with limited desk real estate. But enough about looks, let's dive into performance. The FHD resolution delivers crisp, clear images with vibrant colors that make everything pop. Whether I'm working on spreadsheets, watching movies, or gaming, the picture quality never disappoints. Plus, with the IPS panel, the viewing angles are fantastic, so I can share the screen with friends without worrying about distortion. One feature I really appreciate is the FreeSync technology. It eliminates screen tearing and stuttering, giving me a smooth, lag-free gaming experience. It's a small detail, but it makes a world of difference, especially during intense gaming sessions. Connectivity options are another highlight of this monitor. With HDMI and VGA ports, I can easily hook up my laptop, gaming console, or any other device without hassle. It's super convenient and makes switching between tasks a breeze. And let's not forget about price. For the quality you're getting, this monitor is an absolute steal. It offers all the features you'd expect from a higher-end monitor at a fraction of the cost. Whether you're a student on a budget or a professional looking for a reliable workhorse, this monitor delivers bang for your buck. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The HP 24" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor ticks all the boxes for me—great design, stellar performance, and unbeatable value. If you're in the market for a new monitor, do yourself a favor and give this one a try. You won't be disappointed!

Lightweight, easy setup. Great color. Menu system can be frustrating to navigate. It’s great in dual/triple monitor setup. If you need multiple monitors I’d definitely recommend getting these. They are inexpensive, screen is smooth with minimal glare. Great for small spaces even though this is 24”. Recommend purchase.
