HP has come up with a good all around HD monitor for work and play. On one end, you have the ability to control your display settings 6 different ways and customize to your eyes desire. AMD Free Sync is also incorporated into the display for a quick variable refresh rate. Just don't expect it to wow the higher end gamer. This is just enough for the average gamer. I have been using this monitor for work for the past few weeks and have no complaints with my eyes being tired after 8-10 hour days. Even after, when I log off the work laptop I can immediately jump into playing a game and like the quality of the display being presented from the game. The only reason I could dock half a star is because it is not able to be mounted to a display mount. You are stuck with the aluminum/silver mount that actually looks great. Pros: -Sleek & modern style -1 VGA and 1 HDMI input (con for some?) -Customizable display settings Cons: -No mounting option -No audio -You can spend a bit more $ and get a lot more options now a days -No swivel

The HP model m24f is a fantastic monitor! With its stunning 23.8-inch display and crisp image quality, it's perfect for work, streaming, and gaming. Its sleek design and slim profile make it a great addition to any desk, and its easy-to-use controls make adjusting settings a breeze. Highly recommended!

When I opened up the box, I was impressed. You'll see a picture below that shows why. Everything is included, laid out well, and makes for a very easy assembly. It even comes with an HDMI cable, who else does that? Nobody! Thanks HP! Anyway, you'll find the lower part of the mount in the box tray. Same with the upper arm that attaches the platform to the monitor. Simply snap it in on the monitor side, turn the thumb screw on the platform side, and good to go. The power cord and transformer are in the box, plug those in, easy enough. Turn it on. It'll find if you are using HDMI or VGA....thank you for including VGA, so many have shunned that very necessary port - I need that for one of my computers and no alternatives exist as that is a diagnostic computer and not something that will be replaced often. The monitor has an amazing rendition of images! It says 1080p, but wow, looks like 4K to me. I've included pics taken on my iPhone, from a video playing on Youtube, using Chrome. They look better in person, but you'll get the idea. And there is no hocus pocus or funny business, these were literally snapshots taken on an iPhone of a movie playing on YouTube, displayed on this monitor - while the subjects were moving! Do yourself a favor and get a monitor you know is decent; this one! This can be used for so many things, from game systems like a Nintendo Switch, to a laptop to utilize dual screen functionality, or even a TV monitor coming off of your cable box. Maybe a monitor for your CCTV system around your home. Today we use monitors for many things, and this will likely be around for a minute! It is lightweight, a very thin bezel to save space, and very easy to assemble and install.

Excellent product at a very good price. Easy to setup and well designed. For a basic monitor, you can’t beat it. Bonus, the color matches other HP products such as a laptop. Makes for a very clean workspace.

But other than being aesthetically beautiful edge to edge screen and a wonderfully thin, compact design it was pretty average. Color accuracy out of the box was terrible. All presets were exceedingly red. Manually adjusting RGB gave better results, but I could never exceed beyond "acceptable". It's kind of like the difference between the "soft white" incandescent bulb and a bluish tinted LED bulb - was either too far one way or the other -- I could not find a balance that was pleasing to me. Freesync is a nice feature, however it's not very useful in this monitor. With 5 ms latency, While it will suffice for a casual gamer, it's simply not competitive with gaming displays at its price point. The IPS panel offers a wide viewing angle, and this monitor will certainly suffice as a day-to-day productivity tool. It will serve somewhat capably as a desktop display, or an external laptop display. You can write reports, browse the web, read/write email, and distract yourself with an occasional game. In fact you can pretty much do it all -- outside of graphics/photo editing -- and find everything acceptable. However computer displays reside in a very competitive market with a plethora of choices at different price points. There are better options in this price point. On a side note it is manufactured using 85% recycled materials, including plastics recovered from the ocean, and it does offer a featured called "eyesafe", which claims to be gentler on the eyes without affecting color quality. For me it seemed to impact the color What I liked: - Pleasing design and aesthetics. - Cable management stood out. I really like the layout which allows for hiding the cables well. - Very good viewing angles. - Crisp display for 24" 1080p monitor. - 75 Hz refresh rate - Manufactured using 85% recycled materials. Not so much: - No VESA suport; stand only allows for tilt. - No Display Port support; only VGA and HDMI. - Out of box color accuracy and preset modes. - Everything else about it was mediocre/average.

The monitor is attractive and very easy on the eyes. Colors are great and the size is convenient for a desk. The picture is vivid and clear. I did not have to do any adjustments to the setings. Everything was great out of the box. The unit is attractive and the price was great. The only issue is that you have to add speakers as none are provided.

I work at my computer all day and needed something larger than my laptop screen (getting older is not much fun). I thought I would purchase this because the price was reasonable. It has been great! Just exactly what I needed. I've been using it for 7 months and considering getting another so that I have 2 larger screens to look at.

This monitor displays great image clarity and color. It’s a good size for a small space, large enough to reduce my eye strain. I would recommend it if you are like me and use my desktop occasionally. Great value for the cost.

Excellent monitor at a very good price. Good size, display brightness with great refresh rate. The back of the monitor and the stand are matte black; the vertical shaft of the stand emerges from the compact base to connect with the cabinet. This connection permits a surprising range of motion for a monitor of its price.

Purchased this for a "dual monitor" set-up with my laptop, which is an older Microsoft Surface. Very easy to assemble, no tools needed. It also connected seamlessly with the HDMI cord included and the HDMI adaptor (separate purchase, not included) for the Surface. Use is mainly for day-to-day stuff, like web browsing, Word, Excel, etc. I don't use it for gaming. In terms of how it fits in my WFH setup, my desk has a depth of 19.5", length of 48". The monitor fits nicely on the corner, with more than enough space for a wireless keyboard, notebook, laptop, and water bottle. The stand for the monitor is stable, with minimal wobble. If you are looking for a monitor that's sleek but functional for your day-to-day stuff, and are on a budget, this is a great option!

Nice monitor, which I got for a very good price. I have had a little bit of problem with flickering, but only when I run some OLD software (written for Windows 98). Other than that it has been great, much better than my old monitor. Didn't come with a VGA cable, but I just used my old one.
