Would not recommend
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the display is large and clear, the construction of this monitor is terrible. It is designed to tilt forward or back and on day 3 of owning this monitor the display cracked when I went to tilt it. This isn't even worth the low-ish price. I was extremely disappointed and returned the product for a full refund which I put towards another Best Buy device.

Is anyone encountering display issues?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm connecting to a MacBook pro and text is fuzzy on display. Has anyone else encountered this?? HP wants $50 to chat with customer service. "Image Scaling" is grayed out on the monitor settings. Any advice?

Nice, basic monitor.. great for coding
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to try this HP IPS monitor because my previous monitor died and I needed more screen space than my laptop screen provides. My previous monitor was 28", so I was worried that I wouldn't be able to adjust to the smaller 24" HP... however, so far, I haven't really missed the extra screen space. I primarily use my laptop for coding, and this HP monitor seems to be much easier on my eyes; the preset Viewing Modes make it fairly effortless to change the color settings to reduce eye strain throughout the day. The color reproduction is also better than my old monitor, as well as the viewing angle. On my previous monitor, colors were good, but they would change quite a bit if viewing the monitor from any angle, and text was a bit blurry when not viewed from almost directly infront of the monitor. This HP monitor has much better color reproduction and as long as your eyes are in line with the middle of the screen, viewing from almost any angle appears to have no effect on color and minimal effect on text; viewing from above does alters brightness a bit, but colors are still accurate. This monitor also has FreeSync, but I can't really test it since all of my machines have NVidia cards. I have turned FreeSync on to see what would happen, and although I assume it doesn't really do anything, it also doesn't seem to cause any issues. I have also played several online games and I haven't really seen any issues with graphics tearing or motion blur, so I would think it would be fine for most gamers unless you're a hardcore FPS player. One big benefit of this monitor that I wasn't expecting, but that I'm nonetheless happy about, is the small footprint; it's extremely thin, and the way the base is designed, after I start my laptop and close it, I can slide it a good 5" underneath the monitor, which allows me to reclaim a rather large portion of my desk. Overall, I think this is a very capable, basic monitor, especially for the price.

Disappointing to say the least
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor was an inexpensive choice but I did not expect it to tail a little over three months after purchase. And yet it did. It developed what the user manual describes as "permanent gray swaths or bands across the screen." The manual also describe this as indicative of the polarizing feature being "damaged or not aligned correctly."

A dissapointment
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had great expectations for this monitor. Not long after I started using it green shade appeared on the corners of the screen, especially visible when the monitor shows a full black background. Not happy at all.

Be Care with Open-Box purchases
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered this monitor because it was available for Open Box rated as Excellent. It arrived and I set it up and they was a huge black spot in the screen. I will be returning it. Just be careful because although it says excellent that doesn't mean that it is.

Great Basic, Semi-Basic Monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the past year or so I've been using my 4K television for a computer monitor which has been a lot of fun. However, it made for a pretty impractical setup since I had to make many accommodations to make that type of arrangement work. I really wanted to find a good monitor so that I could move my desktop to a more dedicated area in the house. This monitor from HP fits that role very well. It has an extremely small footprint owed to the very thin bezel, small stand footprint, and ultra thin design. In reality, this monitor is actually smaller in size than a previous 21.5" monitor I had. At 1080p resolution, it's not a significant step down in resolution from my TV. I do want to stress that, for all it's features, this is a pretty basic monitor. It only allows for pitch adjustment and even that adjustment is pretty limited. It does have AMD's FreeSync ability but with a maximum refresh rate of 75 Hz, even casual gamers will want to look somewhere else if they have the budget. That said, there are a lot of excellent features. As I mentioned earlier, the bezel is extremely thin which is aesthetically pleasing as well as ideal for anyone who might want to give themselves the ability to run a multi-monitor setup. The picture quality is good out of the box and the IPS panel makes for great viewing angle accuracy and good screen uniformity. The small footprint of the stand allows for me to tuck my Logitech keyboard (albeit with the feet down to allow for more room under it) up under the monitor and out of the way when I'm not using the computer. There are plenty of picture adjustments to suit anyone's preferences. For this price point, I was pleasantly surprised by the value I felt the 24f offered. I wasn't really quite expecting to be able to get something with this suite of features at this price.

The quality looks so good. Love the build of the monitor also, with its thin bezels. This is probably one of the better monitors for the money and it looks great on my desk setup. Highly recommend it.

Amazing Monitors

Great monitor for gaming and digital art
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I both do digital art and play a lot of video games. The colors, brightness range, and pixel precision make my artwork easier. The response rate is perfect for games like Overwatch and Apex Legends. I've used this monitor by windows with no glare One thing to note, however, is that 1080p 75hz doesn't seem to work with Windows 10 by default. I haven't figured that part out, but it doesn't make much of a difference to me. However, if you're wanting a 1080p 75Hz monitor, you may want to either look into how to get this one to work that way, or look elsewhere.

These monitors are awesome! Highly recommend!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The actual monitor itself is super thin and the picture is crystal clear. I got 2 of these for a screaming deal and I’m thrilled...Best Buy does it again! The monitors come with an HDMI cable which is an bonus. For the price, these can’t be beat! They are very attractive looking and the display is outstanding. Keep in mind that because the monitor is ultra thin, they are not able to be mounted to a mounting stand. No big deal for me, but that may not be clear in the description.

Bre
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great resolution, perfect size for work or school, and it looks great the exterior color and thin. My son connected his chrome book for homeschool and planning to used as a second monitor for myself when he doesn’t need it anymore. It is great as a second monitor because it doesn’t have speakers or touchscreen.
