At first i didn't know what to expect, the monitor is very stylish sliver finish and a nice size 27 inch for any home no matter for office or home settings. I will admit the monitor is a little thicker from the back then most monitors in the market, its not as thin. I was a little disappointed about the refresh rate is only 60hz instead of 120hz so i can't review on this as i haven't used it for gaming but i guess this is the norm with monitors, not saying QHD didn't look well when i was watching 4k content on streaming sites. I did enjoy it a lot. I also did not like the stand, doesn't feel sturdy and the viewing angles are not great. I had trouble seeing text or colors from angles. There are five settings for color, Warm, Normal, Cool, User, and i-Style Color. The i-style seem to have similar settings to my imac as i used this monitor in conjunction with my imac it was a nice touch but sometimes i felt the settings were to bright for my liking especially at nights. I like this monitor the display is nice and it looks stylish. I used 2 to 3 monitors (school and gaming) and this fits right in with other nice monitors i've own in the past. i would recommend to anyone and the price isn't that bad either.

    Bad Monitor

I bought this monitor for it;s 2560 by 1440 display, but the screen was extremely dismal to look at, paired with the fact, that i had extreme bezel separation on the monitor i returned i. If the bezel was fine, the colors were defiantly not, and knowing how good Hp, has been in the past, i suggest to get the HP pavillion 27q which has a supposed better screen being PLS instead of Twisted Nematic Film, because the screen was honestly just awful to look at

It is effective at lifting and launching powder from flat surfaces, but it cannot get that bottom layer Of ice so you will want to be sure to walk carefully. Needs a sharper bald to safely clear all snow

First thing, I am amazed at how much I can fit on this monitor! I have used several large monitors and was always disappointed by the pixel size. The resolution on this is high enough that I can actually use this one! When I first took it out of the box, I was expecting a different set of ports and was a little disappointed. A minor mistake on my part, and the ports (HDMI, DVI and DisplayPort) are actually working out very well for me. The only thing I am not overjoyed with is the lack of true blacks on the screen. I have adjusted it in every way I could both with the onscreen controls and on my video card but cannot get the screen to have enough contrast to get real black. After a week of use, I am pretty satisfied despite that and don’t notice it as often as I did to begin with. As I write this, I have two windows comfortably open side by side on this monitor and another on my laptop screen (which has a very nice screen with excellent colors and contrast) and none of them feel cramped. Word is open to 100% and still has room around the edges with the ribbon bar open. I am happy enough with this one that I am seriously looking at buying a second one for another workstation. The lack of contrast is not as big a deal as I felt it would be. Videos and applications all show up well and the clarity is excellent. I like the front panel controls which have real buttons instead of electrostatic or other type of controls so you know when you are touching the right place to change something. With the labels on the silver front panel, adjustments are very easy and I don’t find myself fumbling around with trying to figure out what each button does. Overall, I am very satisfied with the monitor. I was going to give it four stars at first, but the features have won me over after a bit of use!

Ended up returning it. This is one of the models with the same model number and is the only one without freesync. I was having issues with screen tearing. Ended up buying DELL S2719DGF and I'm very happy with it

The HP 27q LED QHD is a great monitor for its price point. Let me first start off talking about its performance. The monitor provides a decent viewing angle and displays crisp coloring. It’s a little off at extreme angles, but I am hardly at those angles much to sway my opinion of it. Much like a new Family Room TV, you need monitors to be versatile these days. With so much streaming and gaming taking place, the black levels become somewhat important. As someone who does both, I can appreciate what this monitor provides in that category. I feel like it even outperforms my TVs in that area too. This includes streaming, gaming, and playing movies through the computer. From a physical standpoint, I think the monitor is easy to assemble and pretty sharp looking. The base and everything snap together easily and all you need is a screwdriver to tighten things up. Aesthetically, the HP 27q has a simple, yet elegant design and the thinness is exceptional. The silvery, thin bezel that really compliments any setup in your office or wherever your computer is located. One of the interesting things to me was the connections that are offered. It’s versatile with DVI, HDMI, and DisplayPort options. While I think that is nice, a second HDMI port would have been nice. It’s not a deal breaker though. Overall, I think this is a nice monitor to use many different ways. It may take some time adjusting the settings to get it where you want it, but I don’t think you will be disappointed once you get it there. Just remember to plan for space on your desk with how big it is and be ready for a crisp picture once you establish your settings.

This is my third monitor in a set up of three. Out of the 3 it is by for the worst (other 2 are a LG and a Samsung). No matter how much I fidget with the settings the monitor always looks like crap is always too dark or too washed out. I don't know maybe it is me but I got the other 2 to look great. Would not recommend.
