The Best Dual Monitor Setup

I bought two of these monitors to upgrade my work from home setup. These monitors are phenomenal for the price point. The freesync works, they have a USB hub built-in if you're using USB-C to drive the monitor, and best of all, there is no noticeable difference between the colors of the monitors side by side.
I'm also a light gamer and have used these monitors for the occasional gaming and they are great for that too.
In addition to working well with Windows, they seem to be great for Mac OS too. I plugged my 2018 Macbook Pro into both of the monitors and it's exactly as I had hoped. They're not "retina" level but I feel like it's pretty close. The USB-C didn't work with both monitors on my Mac though, probably a Mac OS issue running two separate monitors with two separate USB-C cables.
The only negative comment is that the DisplayPort on one of the monitors died within a few minutes of using the monitors for the first time. Thankfully, Best Buy is quickly shipping me a replacement monitor so I can have two working DisplayPorts again.
The only way I could imagine these monitors to be better for my need is if HP or whoever manufactures the display that HP uses is to create a 7680 x 2160 curved display that has as many nits and as good as color reproduction.

Loved everything about the monitor.
The sleek design, the thin yet stable stand makes Dell's monitor stands look outdated. The color profile, etc. The USB-C. Price is right.
I bought this mainly for the USB-C to have a single cable solution with my MacBook Air.
It worked for the evening that I got it. Except one minor issue - when running Google Sheets on Chrome, the bottom of the screen would flicker every 5 seconds. Very, very jarring. However, other apps and interfaces worked fine, so I think it's more of a Google issue.
I shutoff the MacBook and went to sleep. Now this morning I turn it on, the monitor says "no USB C signal received, the monitor will now shut off". Restarted everything, unplug and replugged everything, cycled through the input-sources, etc etc. Could not get the monitor to work ever again.
I have a Dell U2720QM. Plugged the same MacBook Air into the USB C on that thing, and viola I had display signal, meaning that the issue is solely with this HP monitor.
Very sad. I wish this could have worked.

Great picture quality. Crisp, clear colors. Video and photo quality is excellent. It has built in usb c (thunderbolt) and usb a ports, a valued surprise. set up is easy. joystick menu is ok. only issue is speakers don't with macbook pro. otherwise, best monitor for me.

Recently given a MacBookPro with USB-C out only through work. I also have a newer MacMini at home. Was using an old Apple LED Cinema 24 screen... needed an upgrade. The HP 28 IPS was one of the few USB-C screens available (everyone is out of them). Very pleased with the screen quality and output... make that inputs! No speakers or cam, but who cares. The 28" screen is a great size coming from a dual 27" setup (prior job). Would have given 5 stars other than it can be slow to power up and as someone else said, the resolution will sometimes shift after waking up from the laptop. Overall great screen, great quality, great price! Lovin it.

Very nice monitor. Well packaged with almost all recyclable materials. (No Styrofoam) Setup was a breeze. Cables were included! Looks gigantic next to my 23 inch monitor.

HP should just stick to making printers!

Very poor HP customer service. Receivede faulty monitor with green tint.
The green tint would not go away with any setting.
Called customer service.
After hours on the phone wit them - i was told that its my video card that makes image green.
I was transferred to PAID service, where they told me they are going to charge me for support.
What?
My $500 monitor is defective on arrival, and yet they make me belive that is is my fault, and yet - i bave to pay for it????
Monitor went back to Best Buy the next day.
Bought Dell monitor instead - works flawlessly with same computer and setup.
No tint of any color whatsoever.
Conclusion: 1) HP should stick to making printeds, not high end 4k monitors
2) never deal with HP support - as they will ask for your $$$ To try to help you. Unheard of!

Amongst the best LED

Though a little early into ownership, the monitor is excellent. I set-up computers for embedded systems, fixtures, etc and while I often use hand-me-downs, this is still the nicest monitor I've purchased or used. There are more OLEDs and 8Ks coming, but the price point for this monitor is just about ideal unless you really have to have the latest video equipment.
Keep in mind: if you want two monitors, but are only getting one now, this monitor is an unusual size at 28" and it might be hard to match that size later. Also, in my experience, LED backlight hues vary greatly, even with the same model monitor. If you are trying to obtain the exact color match, try to order two (or however many) monitors from the same batch, which often means looking at serial numbers in the store.
The adjustable stand on these has been an HP feature for years, and it's very nice. You can still do VESA if you want, of course, but the up/down/tilt is great.

After trying out multiple monitors, I finally ended up choosing this one. The stand has adjustable height, tilt, and swivels. The screen is matte but isn't too heavy. It has a USB hub in the back and has USB-C charging. I'm giving four stars strictly because the USB-C connection with my M1 Macbook Air is a bit inconsistent. I have to unplug the monitor from the electrical outlet to get it to recognize my Macbook occasionally. However, it doesn't happen enough to feel like a huge inconvenience-just a bit annoying.

I wanted more screen area in my office and the HP 28" was exactly the ticket. At 4k resolution it allows me to keep several windows open or finally view large spreadsheets. Setup was immediate (plug&play HDMI, displayport and probably others I didn't try). Screen is bright and crisp. Added bonus is adjustable stand--just push up or down, or swing around on the fly. And costs less than the competion.

Hard to give it a review this early on. We installed these in our KMVT 15 TV studio control room. They look really pretty, and have a good image when we are setting things up. We are still in the process of building the control room so I can't really speak to the performance or quality yet! Check online reviews, this is a very decent monitor for the price at this size.

I bought this to replace another monitor I really liked because this one has and adjustable height. I wish it adjusted more than 4-5 inches. Had to do a lot of finagling with ergonomics at my desk. Still working on image adjustments but seems on the excellent side so far.

I bought this for my home office, it looks wonderful and super easy to set up. My only issue is the USB-C cable it came with stopped working after only a week and I was forced to switch to HDMI.

So I bought this monitor in late January and I have loved every second I have spent on this thing. I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone in the market for a 4K monitor. The only complaint I have is that sometimes when I wake my computer from sleep mode it wakes up in 1080p instead of 4K but putting it back to sleep and waking it up again fixes the problem. I can’t tell if it is a monitor problem or a problem with my Mac mini.

Very happy with this monitor.
Great color, clarity, and contrast for doing design work. I bought it as a replacement for a similar HP 27" monitor and have found this 28" to be the perfect size. Large enough to see my work and small enough that I don't have to turn my head back and forth to see tool bars on either side of the screen--something that added fatigue when using a 32" curved monitor previously. I really like the menu navigation as well, with a single mini joystick on the back rather than multiple buttons. There are several pre-programmed color profiles which are very easy to access and change using the joystick and its shortcuts.
There is a cord management clip that can slide up and down to any height on the support post. Height adjustment for the screen is more varied than I expected (almost 5" of range), and the swivel works very smoothly. My one single tiny nit to pick is there is no detent for 0° or "home" swivel location.
This probably sounds like an ad but I'm just a very satisfied customer excited about all the features and great performance! Money well spent.

Very nice display, awesome colors and brightness! Very well design monitor stand, running this monitor with apple mac mini 2018 connected to a sonnet e-gpu box, i like this size monitor as well, comparable image to a imac retina display in my opinion. I recommend getting extended warranty with best buy because it only comes with 1 year with HP. IT'S A GOOD BUY FROM BEST BUY!
