Do not buy this. Read actual reviews from buyers.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This screen is very disappointing. Its not sharp, the pictures are NOT clear and you cannot even use it for Office to read documents. The color management is terrible. HP's one of the worst products.

Flimsy Poorly Designed Product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Second purchace of item witin a monty. The design is very flimsy and breaks easily. There is no stiffining structure on upper part of screen. Best Buy claimed it was mishandled which is not true. A few manfacturers have the same basic design and resulting high failere rate. Advoid this design!

Do not buy as desktop monitor
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Resolution is not fit for this monitor. Full HD does not look good in a 32 inch monitor, stick to 24 inches or go for 4K if you need 32" monitor. It must be for corporate displays but not for working.

A Good, Big Basic Monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Summary: If you want a large (31.5-inches diagonal) basic monitor for a very reasonable amount of money, this is a good choice. “1080p,” also known as Full HD or FHD (full high definition), is a very common display resolution at 1920 x 1080 pixels. (Resolution explains how many pixels a display has in width x height format, and the more pixels, the sharper the image looks). Many of today's PC monitors and gaming laptops as well as TVs, come in 1080p resolution. For gaming or a modern computing experience, this is the lowest resolution considered acceptable. And while gaming at higher resolutions of 1440p or 4K offer more realistic experiences, they both require a pretty powerful – read “expensive” – graphics card, so gaming at 1080p is still very popular among today's mainstream gamers. This monitor’s preset refresh rates (aka “vertical frequencies” in the downloadable User Guide) are 60 Hz (give or take a tiny bit) and with a little finessing, you can get to 75 Hz. The minimum you’ll want for any kind of gaming is 60 Hz but when gaming, higher refresh rates inherently provide shaper images. A higher refresh rate than your opponent(s) can mean a faster reaction (translation, you get a shot off quicker). What’s in the box: monitor, 2-part power cable (AC section and DC transformer with cord), 2-part stand, HDMI cord, Quick Setup booklet. The monitor is well protected in the shipping box and removal from the box for assembly was easy. You will definitely want to have a good amount of clear space to do this because this monitor is larger than most of us are used to handling. Make sure to protect the monitor screen well during the box removal and assembly. The stand (2 parts) is easy to assemble. The vertical support clicks into place on the back of the monitor and the base plate is held on the vertical support with a single screw. There is no way to adjust the height of the monitor’s screen above the desktop, however, you can adjust the tilt (-5° to +25°). There is a provision to allow you to route the power and HDMI cables through the hollow vertical support to reduce desk top clutter. For video and sound connections, there are two HDMI ports on the left rear of the screen (as seen from the front) and a single VGA port as well. The lower right side of the monitor (as seen from the front and working right-to-left) contains a small “power on” LED, the power button, a menu button and three buttons which function as the On-Screen Display (OSD) buttons. The OSD allows you to adjust/personalize the display by changing the color temperatures/levels of the display; contrast, brightness, when the monitor goes to sleep, etc. The colors seen in the display seem good and sufficiently bright and saturated. The wider screen is good for gaming. HD screens are inherently better for wide-angle viewing (but let’s not get ridiculous!) than conventional SD monitors. That said, I’m a solo user so I’m always dead center in front of the monitor so, for me at least, the wider viewing angle is mostly unused. I’ve found the blue-light filter seems to be easier on my eyes, especially late in the day, but my experience with this type of monitor is limited. Depending on personal preference, some users may want/need to increase the blue levels using the OSD. OK. Now the less-good observations because I like balance in product reviews: The resolution of this monitor (1920 x 1080) is a very common resolution for computers and is commonly called Full High Definition or “FHD.” As of January 2020, this was considered the minimum resolution for gaming or even general computing. It is definitely NOT what you want if you work with photos or other tasks where you need high resolution. These days I’d say typical monitor resolution should be 2560 x 1440; most movies are at least 2048 x 1080. Monitors possessing 4k resolution are becoming more popular. The only reason FHD monitors are considered high definition is because they’re better than the old standard definition (SD) monitor which was 640 x 480. If you’re used to excellent resolution, you might want to spend more money on a monitor with high resolution. We’re all the victims of the sociological concept known as rising expectations. That means that when we get our first one – whether it’s a car, a computer, a TV, a home, etc. – we have limited expectations as to performance, a limited budget, and a limited need for quality. Over time, that item just isn’t good enough anymore – for a number of reasons – and we seek something better. There are issues with the power cord. The DC portion of the cord (19.5 volts DC) is much too short to reach from the monitor on the desktop to the floor where the transformer should rest. Because that part of the cord is so short (40 inches), it must remain on your desktop. The AC portion of the cord (i.e., the part plugged into your electrical outlet/surge suppressor) is better – it’s 5.5 feet long. There is no way to adjust the height of the screen above the desktop. However, you can adjust the tilt (-5° to +25°). The image of the OSD buttons in the downloadable user guide (table 1-2 Front components and their descriptions) is reversed. The power button is actually on the far-right side of the underside of the monitor’s front next to a very small LED. There are no USB connections (either A or C styles) anywhere on the monitor. You have two choices to get a signal to the monitor: HDMI or an older-style VGA connector. In conclusion, this is a good monitor for general use and will serve you well provided you realize its capabilities and limitations.

Great super large monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For starters its huge. I know I should have realized it from the size in the description, but you still kind of think that monitors are about the same size. This thing on the other had is about the size of some people’s TVs. In fact, this doesn’t have any speakers built in, but if you ran an HDMI cable through a soundbar, it could sub for a decent TV pretty easily. Setup was really easy. The box opens up in a way that makes everything easy for one person to do without the award trying to lift the box over the screen without knocking it over act. You can put the stand onto the monitor without taking it out of the box so you don’t have to worry about trying to move the screen around without scratching it as you figure how to attach a stand. The stand is also all tool-less so you don’t have to worry about finding a screwdriver to get it set up. Attaching my computer was a breeze and setup took less than 5 minutes. It comes with a convenient cord management system to keep your cables out of the way when using the monitor. I’ve seen these before, but generally I don’t use them because they’re such a hassle that its never been worth the effort. This one was different. It has an easy to remove cover that just slides down and off, which covers a series of loops that are split so you can just press the cable into rather than trying to thread your cables thorough a series of impossible angles to get it to work. The monitor also has 2 hdmi inputs which I thought was weird at first and didn’t see a good use case for since I’m usually looking for more monitors for my one computer, not the other way around. I threw an extra HDMI cable into the input just for fun when I was setting it up and ended up using it pretty soon afterward. I needed to do a bit of work from home over the weekend and was able to use the extra HDMI cable to plug into my monitor and temporarily get a dual screen setup at home with out having to move any cables around. It was actually pretty nice. The picture is clean and crisp. The colors are bright and vibrant. My only real complaint about the monitor is that because its bigger than I expected, my home setup has the screen a lot closer to me than I would have otherwise done for that large a screen. I’m not sure I love having my face that close to it and may move my setup around. But honestly, if being too big is your biggest complaint about a computer monitor, you’re doing pretty good.
