Cartridge too wide
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the HP Photosmart 7520 series and I asked the person on ink if the size had changed because the last cartridge I bought was too wide. He said no, the 564 and 654XL have not changed. I got it home, opened it and its too wide. I have to return it and now I don't know what to buy as the 564 had been and still should be the correct cartridge. The 654XL is the correct size still. This is very frustrating because I can't print until I return the cartridge even after asking about the size.

Posted .Hi there,
I was sorry to hear that the cartridge was the wrong one. It is true that the cartridges have not changed in size. It is likely you actually wanted the thinner Photo cartridge and not the black one.
If you have a printer that uses 5 of the HP 564 cartridges instead of 4, your printer will have a slot for the black cartridge and also a slot for the Photo cartridge. The cartridges you ordered should fit into the black slot, which has a 5-sided pentagon (to me, it looks like a house) icon. Printers that use 5 cartridges also need the Photo cartridge, which has an hourglass shaped icon (looks like a bowtie). Many people confuse the black and the Photo since the Photo cartridges were originally marketed (several years ago) as "Photo Black" and some sources still use that terminology.
I hope this helps clear up the confusion!

Sold me a computer that did not meet my request
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I specifically request a computer that was secure and hard to hack. Sales person sold me a HP Pavilion and later I was informed that Apple was the computer that has the best security. I returned to the store because there were files that were already stored on my brand new computer; I was told that sometimes the manufacture creates files before it reaches the store. I believe this computer was used but sold to me as new. I contacted Best Buy Headquarters but never received a response. I was very disappointed with my last purchase from Best Buy.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ink was faulty. My HP printer advised this was not comparable???? I bought from Best Buy and it said HP?? I tried calling Best Buy several times spoke with three different reps that were NO help and were not trained to handle customer service. Gave the Sku number several times. Now working from home, such frustration. I was told I would get a callback - nothing

Obsolete item
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't believe a store like Best Buy would still advertise this item without mentioning it has been discontinued and the printers it goes in are obsolete. I found out about it when my HP Photosmart broke down. I am stuck with several of these cartridges and the store won't refund me. They should make it known that the item is OBSOLETE. They should make good on their trade in policy in FULL. This is unethical.

Posted .Hi,
I am sorry that you were sent cartridges that don't seem to be lasting very long. I can understand if you are disappointed.
Unless the cartridge was damaged or defective, the ink usage will determine how long it will last. High-density prints (such as photos and graphs) will use up more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.
Assuming the cartridge was full and not defective when received, some usage might have been due to printer maintenance. When you only want to print in black and white, it is good to change the print settings to black only (sometimes color is used kind of like primer paint to make the black areas look "blacker"). Even then some color is used because the nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper will clog unless they are cleared regularly. When you are not using a color, the printer will have to use a tiny bit of ink during maintenance to clear the nozzles for that color. Not doing so could ruin the printer's printhead.
You can avoid some ink usage by turning the unit off when it is not in use. One caution about that though. The printer should always be turned off using the power button on the printer itself. That will let the printer 'park' so that the cartridges are protected from excess drying that causes clogs to form in the tiny nozzles in the printhead.

The black ink
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The black ink seem to be dry I had to reprint pages a few times for it to finally come out all the way on the page I’m hoping the next cartridge is better once I use it. I never had this problem before

HP did me in
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My printer is still working fine but HP changed the size of these cartridges so none will fit my machine any longer. Boo for not letting me know about this change so I would not waste so much money needlessly.
