    Print Often!

HP Ink cartridges work. They have to, bc generic ink cartridges will not work in HP printers, at least in my experience. I like HP printers, but it frustrates me that HP ink cartridges stop working when there’s still about 15% ink left in them. That being said, I learned recently that ink cartridges dry up if you don’t print often. The more you print, the longer they last. So, use your printer often!

Ink cartridges are so expensive. With my HP photo printer I hardly ever print photos because it just uses up the black ink so fast. The black photo cartridge gets used up long before the reg. black cartridge even though I don't print pict. It is cheaper to take my phone to Walgreens and have them printed. I just don't understand why ink cartridges are such high cost. Probably the producers operate the same way pharmaceutical companies do!

I barely use my printer but always seem to buy ink. I have to replace all the ink 4 times a year. Maybe made 300 copies and barely 100 pictures a year. I have had the printer for almost 3 years. The ink costs $60 each time. I read switch to HP over cannon because of ink cost and how much you get out of them. Not even close.... I would barely buy 2 sets a year with same usage. Also, normally my canon would run out of colors randomly telling me it uses them properly. It seems odd that the HP would run out of ALL ink at the same time since day one.

The ink was just a refill I loved my printer when I first got it because the picture quality was amazing but over the years it just doesn’t print the same. I find these cartridges to be a bit over priced. I was having issues with the printer and I was cleaning and aligning the cartridges as it prompted me to and when it finally started working it was marking that my cartridges that I just bought and put in were almost empty. This printer is good for printing on photo paper

    Ugh HP.........

Ok, not Best Buy's fault, nor the actual ink's fault, but......Of course the print quality is great, but the fact that HP is makes it impossible to use any ink cartridge other than their own infuriates me. Their printers are made to sabotage any other refurbished brand including those that are re-fillable. For that reason, as well as the fact HP printers are designed to use as much ink as possible (default set to "high-quality" which uses a TON of ink) , I will NEVER purchase another HP product....ever.

I purchased the HP 564 ink cartridge for my 95 year old father-in-law who has an HP Photosmart printer. He prints from his iPad mostly black and white for paper records of internet selections or emails he wants to keep, and occasionally photographs. When the quality of his printed copies begin to fade, he always calls me to "fix" his printer. I've tried using "remanufactured" cartridges in the past, but they never last as long as the new HP ones, so I stick with the HP.

We are constantly feeding this printer and we are fed up!! The ink runs out in credibly fast for as little as we use it. Having a separate ink cartridge for each color is stupid. The ink is ridiculously expensive! I spend 75.00 to $100.00 for ink. I might as well buy a new printer each time. As a matter of fact we bought a different one tonight. We are going to use the new ink program offered by HP. It should save us a lot of money since we rarely print.

After spending much time refilling old cartridges with one of the better recommended filling stations/ink I finally decided I had had enough and went back to the original source and bought new ones. The differenece is very noticeable, especially in printing basic photos. For only text or noncritical printing of non-photo pics the refills ar fine, but for important work the OEM replacements are the best for me.

so far I am very happy with the pictures I have printed using my Photosmart 7520 containing the special HP photo ink. is it just because of the additional ink cartridge? I can't say? but I have crisp clean photos without smudges or drying issues that seemed to annoy me in the passed. Would prefer if sold in value packs, so I can simply buy all my ink at same time. Had to have store clerks assistance in locating this special ink cartridge.

If you are a print from home person, using the HP printer with the photo black ink is a must. This is so far, the best quality photos I have printed from home. The photo black ink adds more depth and resolution to my photos. If there is anything negative to say about this product, it's that it doesn't come in the XL cartridge size. If you plan on printing a lot of photos, you'd better get two cartridges.

Since I've only just purchased this ink to go with the printer I purchased the same day, I canNOT say if it's "excellent". We'll see if after I am away for a week or more if the ink has not dried out upon my return as others have in the past.... provided that doesn't happen, then it will be a "great" product. Until then, it's doing what it's supposed to and you can't argue with that.

    Needs Replacement Far Too Often

Quality of pictures and documents using the 564 ink cartridges is very good. However, the cost of the cartridges, both color and black, is excessive. It seems like no time passes, and it's time to buy more cartridges. The HP 7520 Photosmart printer itself is noisy, slow and a bit quirky, and along with the cost of the ink cartridges, I must relate that I would not buy this product again.

It is ridiculous how expensive printer ink costs! Then factor in how fast it either dries up or is used up, even in casual usage, and it becomes almost criminal. It has become an irritation that most people hate to buy, and can’t wait for a viable option to become available so we can watch with glee when the printer ink market dries up forever.

The photo cartridge may be the most misunderstood cartridge in a multi-cartridige machine. Many people get it confused with the black cartridge. I've seen people replace perfectly fine black cartridges, when they really just needed a photo cartridge. Don't just assume that lower black print quality means you need a black cartridge; it could be you need a photo cartridge.

Good Ink for my HP Photo printer

This is very good fast drying ink and works great for picking up the picture immediately after printing. If all your colors etc., are full enough you will have no problems with vibrant colors in a photo printer. I noticed someone said makes marks on paper etc. previously. This person needs to check his printer because there is probably something wrong with their printer. Just an opinion.

This is a good product. I know some people say ink is ink or do refills but I prefer this cartidge. I have tried some other inks and refills and the bottom line is that they are messy. With other cartidges the ink seems to leak out. Refills can be messy. I don't know about other people but when I run out of ink, I need to replace it now, not when I have time to do the process.

Pictures with a wide dynamic range, from very light to extremely dark, look extremely goof with this photo ink. It enables printing this kind of picture at home with results that look like professional prints. You really need a photo ink for the lighter, less saturated black or gray regions of the photo or they will come out with banding, or discrete steps of intensity.

I don’t print photos with my printer but this cartridge gets used when printing other items also, not quite sure why. Documents come out looking good so I guess it’s needed. Doesn’t seem like cartridges last very long, especially the individual color ones. I very rarely print in color so I don’t understand why that is.

I use 564XL ink for my printers and I love it. I have HP printers and this is the only ink that brings the true color out in my pictures. I have tried other inks in my printers and none have come close as far as giving me the sharpness of the colors.

Generally HP ink cartridges are very good, rarely do I get one that doesn't seem to work. This cartridge was no exception, it works great. I bought this for a printer my daughter uses at college, and it provides great looking documents for her. I do wish though these cartridges held a little more ink, it can get a little expensive if you do a little printing.
