    I use to buy the regular size and had to replace the cartridge constantly. This XL size seems to last a lot longer. Besides that there not much to go wrong with a black ink cartridge.

    The HP inks print nice - good color and crisp b/w. But they don't seem to last - you don't get many printed pages before needing to replace them. Definitely purchase the XL ones.
