    When I bought my printer I was told that it was more frugal with ink than my previous Epson printer. That has not proven to be true, but at least the ink cartridge package costs less.

    At least HP cut some us consumers some slack for pricing on ink. I seem to get a decent amount of printing out of the black cartridge with my printer settings adjusted to bare minimums.

    Wish these cartridges lasted longer but the XL versions are so much more expensive that i stick with the normal packs. When combined with the mybestbuy ink discount, it isn't so bad.

    Solid ink. Looks great in the printer. Used 61 XP and didn't see much difference in output. Buy the 61 and be happy.
