Conter Fit Ink Cartridges
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always keep at least one backup on hand. When I ran out of the tri-color recently, I had 2 backups. Both were counter fit and the printer would not accept them. They did not have the little protective strip for one thing. Knowing how difficult it is to return ink to Best Buy, and with limited time, I just ordered 2 from Amazon. Those were fine. I recommend keeping receipts with the ink and checking out the return window. They were more expensive through Amazon.

I am sorry that you had this problem. It is a good practice to check if the cartridge is genuine as soon as you can.

Awful performance from cartridge
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The cartridge performance is nowhere near the published estimation, the actual performance I made about 40 pages versus an expected 180 pages.

Posted .Hi Juan,
I am sorry that the cartridges didn’t last long for you. The advertised estimates of pages are based on a standard set of prints used by the industry. How each individual cartridge will perform for you is determined by your own usage and environmental factors.
Normally, ink usage determines how long a cartridge lasts. High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will use more ink, especially if the paper is very absorbent and the air is dry.
Here are some things that might help lower your ink costs:
- Use the printer's draft mode whenever possible, to help stretch out black and colored ink
- Usage of the black-only setting will save on colored ink usage.
- Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
- Shutting the printer down between uses will save electricity and a few drops of ink here and there that are used to keep the inkjets cleared and ready for your next print job.
- Instant Ink lets you pay by the page. Check out the details at the HP Instant Ink site.
The seller is responsible for the product they sent to you. When you receive a cartridge that is low to begin with, or doesn't work long because of a defect, please check about returning it to the seller.

Wish this wasn’t so expensive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These cartridges are rather expensive for what they are. They also don’t seem to last as long as one would like, but they are necessary to print, so don’t really have a choice.

Wow, expensive for what you actually get
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a little whiff of ink, this product is very expensive. Ink cartridges do not last vey long and do not produce hundreds of pages of printed documents.

Not long-lasting
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The cartridge should be lasting longer than it is. I've spent more on ink than I did on the printer! The XL doesn't really last that much longer either. Ix this please.
