    Branded item works well. My printer, an HP, however, refuses to recognize the XL cartridges, so it is pricier to buy the standard cartridges. Have had poor performance with "compatible" items. Expensive ad, once pkg is opened it is non returnable. Bite the bullet and buy the branded product.
