I have never replaced cartridges as often as with my new HP printer. The 62XL cartridges don't seem to be lasting for what I normally printed with my Epson all in one that I had for almost 10+'years. I'm hoping to find a more efficient setting with the printer soon because it is ridiculous to think I may be spending $800 a year for ink! I don't do pictures and try to use black ink only if there is an option. I print maybe 25 coupons a month and some recipes w/o pictures. I'm retired and only wished someone would have mentioned in the comments I read before my purchase that it is expensive to use. It works good just can't afford to use it.

I HAVE USED H.P .PRINTER INKS IN FOUR H.P. PRINTERS FOR OVER THIRTY YEARS WITH WONDERFUL PERFORMANCE. i PRESENTLY USE A 5740 OFFICEJET I PURCHASED FROM BEST BUY LATE LAST YEAR. I AM ON MY THIRD SET OF EXTENDED (TYPE X) INK CARTRIDGES SO YOU CAN SEE i HAVE DONE A LOT OF PRINTING WITH ALMOST PERFECT PERFORMANCE. WHEN I DECIDED TO PURCHASE THE 5740 i I HAD A PROBLEM AS SOON AS I TRIED TO INSTALL IT. I RETURNED IT TO BEST BUY IN FLORENCE AND IT WAS EXCHANGED WITH NO PROBLEMS AND NO EXTRA CHARGE. i WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE WAY MY PROBLEM WAS HANDLED. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I AM A VERY SATISFIED BEST BUY CUSTOMER.

I'm very happy with my headphone set for evening listening for the overall performance is of great listening quality and needless to say the audio articulation is that of sup herb quality and may I say that you will always have me as a returned customer and on a special note the Best Buy Store personnel in the City of Duarte are of extraordinary capacity, for they are considerably kind, most helpful, quite knowledgeable as to their products, truly an outstanding store, truly an outstanding measured experience between the Best Buy Organization and for me as a customer, thank you most respectfully Stanley J. THE HP INK CARTRIGE 62 HIGH YEILD IS EXCELLENT FOR A BIGGER PRINTING JOB THAN YOU MIGHT NORMALLY NOT HAVE. ( Providing Your Printer Takes The Hp 62 Ink Cartridge,) FORTUNATLY MY PRINTER ( Hp Officejet 5740 Printer,) WILL TAKE THE NORMAL HP 62 INK OR THE HP 62 HIGH YEILD INK. IN MY OPINION, IT'S BEST TO BUY INK THAT COINSIDES WITH YOUR PRINTER. (For Cannon Printers It's Best To Buy Cannon Ink, Etc.) I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT ANY HP PRODUCTS THAT I HAVE AT THIS TIME, ( Hopefully I Never Will

I like having an extra color ink pack on hand to use when needed. I ordered online and had it delivered to the Ames store when we knew we would be in town to pick it up. This worked very well, as we do not have a Best Buy within 40 miles. Besides it was cheaper on line than it would have been if purchased in the store. Though they will match the online price when ask. I wish they were same price in the store without the need to know the online price. It makes me hesitant to buy anything I haven't looked up the online price.

After purchasing the cartridge displayed error within three weeks and would not print color or black and white after removing and installing several times. I perform the diagnostics on the HP Envy 7640 and only the tricolor cartridge failed. I purchased another and diagnostics passed and printer begin to print in color and black and white. Sadly, I had thrown away my receipt a couple of days after purchase, and lost $42.48 too.

      HP Team

      Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that the tricolor cartridge failed after three weeks. You should have been able to use it much longer!

If a cartridge is defective, you would normally return it to the seller. If that is not possible, there is still hope. If it is a genuine HP cartridge, you need to verify that, using this site: hp.com/go/anticounterfeit

If it turns out to be a genuine cartridge, it is not empty, and it is not past the warranty ends date on the cartridge, you can contact HP support for a replacement: hp.com/contactHP

I am still using the original cartridges that came with the printer. The quality seems to be very good. I am not sure how I feel about the one color cartridge containing Yellow, Blue and Magenta. I am sure they won't all run out at the same time and therefore I might be throwing away a cartridge that still has some good ink in it. I have enrolled in the auto refill program. The ink cartridge tells HP what my usage pattern is and will send me a new one before I run out. I can't comment on how well this works yet.

It's printer ink. Can't say much more than that, though it is one of the slightly less common ink types, at least according to whether or not it's in stock other places I looked. I could've waited for them to special order it, but a quick trip to Best Buy got me the ink and I didn't have to keep having to put off printing research articles and worrying about getting it before papers were due. (Please take the recommendation with a grain of salt--I don't recommend buying ink for printers you don't own!)

Tried the cheap route once by getting refillable ink cartridge (cartridge refills) and was highly disappointed. I decided to spend the extra few dollars and purchased genuine HP ink. Incredibly glad I did! These cartridges are instantly recognized by the printer, DOES NOT SMEAR, and lasts much longer than the refillable cartridge!! Also, by using nthis HP genuine ink cartridge, you get a "low ink" warning which gives you about 20 pages worth of warning!!

    XL Color

With my old printer, I was used to individual colors. When one color ran out you replaced it. Some colors ran out faster than others. Now I have to get used to one for all colors. This way is not that economical, to my way of thinking. But most printers are set up this way now. Cartridges never give true number of pages for printing because of volume per page is not the same. I always use HP cartridges for my HP printer (better quality). Very sharp colors all the time.

We have had a HP printer for many years & bought the new one just a couple of years ago.....& used the ink that HP said to use......like the #62 color ink because it's all in one cartridge :) Don't have to buy 3 separate color packs. I get good color photo prints too! Also like to purchase the XLpackages of black & color & seems To last longer. Always get great service at our local Best Buy store....they are very knowledgeable & friendly.

They don't always the XL print cartridge in the store for my printer so I ordered them online and picked them up in the store. I had previously purchased the regular cartridges and it seemed like I ran out of ink in no time, but with the XL cartridges they last a lot longer and it's a better buy for your money. I recommend getting them and saving yourself some money long term.

These ink cartridges have been good for the most part. The last one had some kind of problem, wasn't recognized by the printer no matter what I did. Best Buy kindly exchanged it and the new one worked perfectly! The service counter person said they don't accept opened ink cartridges, but when I explained that I didn't know it was bad until I opened it, she agreed and let me exchange it.

Beautiful color but more cost effective way to print needs to be found. Ink is just too expensive for amount of print you get. 2019...21st century...satellites sent to far reaches of the galaxy and beyond... surely there's a way to get quality print at a nominal fee. Too many empty cartridges...too few copies.

I would definitely recommend this to all of my friends. Best Buy is a great place to do business with. They have very good prices especially on their ink.

One of the features I hate the most about printers is having to keep so many different color cartridges in stock to keep the printer running properly. With this design I have only two cartridges to keep now, the black one and this one that combines all of the colors. I love this concept. The quality of the printed pages are just as good one I had a printer with cartridges for each of the colors.

The ink runs out frequently and is expensive to replace. It is also unclear how much more ink is in the x package than in the regularly labeled item. I'm also unhappy to be allowed to return only 2 empty cartriges at a time. Since I don't always carry around empty cartriges as I go shopping, I make spur of the moment purchases. Thus I don't get the appropriate discount on used cartriges.

Everyone knows printer ink is terribly expensive but this printer and the ink cartridges it uses seem to be especially high cost/low yield. I would have paid a monk to transcribe my spreadsheets onto a scroll for significantly less money but I didn't have the time . . . and I am not sure where to find a monk.

What can you say about ink. No problems with it. Must say the HP printers (I have the HP ENVY 5660) are more cost efficient when considering ink cost. Way more cost effective over the past Epson's I have owned. I also like the XL as I feel I get more for my money and don't have to change it as often.
