      Hi Lilly,

I regret that you have had this experience. I can understand if you were disappointed when the cartridge seemed to run out too quickly.

If you only print occasionally, it is a good idea to shut the printer down between uses. However, it is important to always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridge is protected from excessive drying which leads to clogging

The seller is responsible for the quality of what is sent. Contact the seller when a cartridge is not satisfactory. Instructions for completing the return and exchange process are at: store.hp.com/us/en/cv/returnsandexchanges

      Hi,

I can understand if you are disappointed when the cartridges seem to run out too quickly.

How each individual cartridge will perform for you is determined by your own usage. High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will use more ink, especially if the paper is extra absorbent and the air is warm and dry.

Here are some things that might help lower your ink costs:
      - Use the printer's draft mode whenever possible, to help stretch out black and colored ink
      - Using the black-only setting will save on colored ink usage.
      - Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
      - Shutting the printer down between uses will save electricity and a few drops of ink here and there that are used to keep the inkjets cleared and ready for your next print job.
      - Instant Ink lets you pay by the page and can save you a lot, especially if you print high-density frequently. Check out the details at: instantink.com

If it appears that poor performance is due to a defect or you got a cartridge that was already low on ink, please contact the seller.

You can return it or exchange it either to the store or by mail. Information about that can be found at:

      Hello there,

Oh no! It appears you had to rush out and purchase new cartridges. We certainly don't want you to have an urgent printing event. To better serve you, we would like you to contact us at www.support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp/. The other option is a return to Best Buy. These ink cartridges are terrible. They don’t last and cost a lot. I’ve spent more money in cartridges than the printer cost times 10! HP host lost my business for life. I now own Shaq’s printer and it is awesome! No cartridges and the ink lasts forever and you get hundred’s of prints. Don’t waste your money on HP.

      Hi,

We respect your feedback about the ink cartridges. As the ink is expensive to make, it is often the most costly part of the printing experience. I do want to help you extend the life of the ink cartridge. Decrease the print quality setting to get more ink. Turning off the printer in between prints saves the cartridges from going dry. Print only in black ink to skip replacing the color cartridges. When you must print, carefully scan each page in draft mode. I hope you give HP another chance.

      Hi there,
I am so sorry that the colors are not blended when you print. I think there are a few quick fixes to help.

      - If it involves the cartridge, it is likely either a clog or a leak. You can check both by taking out the cartridge. If it is clogged, gently remove the residue with a soft cloth. If it is a leak, you will need a different cartridge.

      - If the problem is not the cartridge, then it might be a printing issue. Contact HP support at https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp. Our technical experts can help you solve this issue.

      Hi,

I'm sorry you didn't get more photos printed. Ink usage of the cartridge (unless it was damaged or defective) will determine how long it lasts in your particular printer. High-density prints, like your photos, will use more ink, especially if the paper is highly-absorbent and the air is dry.

Here are some things that might help lower your ink usage:
      - Most people have found that the XL version of the cartridges are a much better value.
      - Using the black-only setting, when appropriate, will save on colored ink usage.
      - Shut the printer down between uses; however, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
      - Consider getting Instant Ink. The subscription plans let you pay by the page, which is a really good deal for photos. Check out the details at: instantink.com

When a cartridge is low on ink to begin with, or it appears that poor page yield was due to a defect, contact the seller.

Hi there, While I am glad you find the product is excellent, there are ways to save on ink and extend the life of a cartridge. It is dreadful that you are going through this situation with your cartridges. The most immediate action to take is to check the ink levels in your printer. You may think a cartridge is empty. Often, it is clogged or dry. For these scenarios, gently clean the printhead of the cartridge with a wet cotton swab. Reinserting cartridges helps a printer recognize them. It's a quick fix for cartridges that seem empty but are not depleted. Save on the cost of printing by using draft or print preview mode. Updating settings, printer updates, and drivers can improve print quality and save ink. - Amanda HP Care http://hp.com/support/ HP

      Hi Bill,

I'm sorry to hear that you are running out of ink quickly. That sounds frustrating.

Unless the cartridge was damaged or defective, the ink usage will determine how long it will last. High-density prints (such as photos and graphs) will use up more ink, especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry.

Here are some things that might help lower your ink usage:
      - You can use the printer's draft mode and black-only settings, whenever possible, to save ink.
      - Shutting the printer down between uses can also help; however, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That lets it ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
      - Instant Ink might be worth trying. The subscription plans are based on how many pages you print. You can check out the details at: HPinstantink.com

When it seems that the low page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, it is always an option to contact the seller about a replacement or refund.
