purchased to have on hand because the color ink runs out faster. I still have not used it. I still have a pervious purchase in the printer that has been there for about 6 months and it's about half full. We don't print too often but when we do its a lot at a time.

Lasts longer than the cartridges that come without the XP designation.

if you need to buy ink, buy the XL it truly last a long time.

Unfortunately, HP (and Epson, etc) have us over a barrel with proprietary printer ink. I've ruined two or three printers with off-brand ink cartridges, so I'll have to pay the exorbitant prices. Or simply buy a new cheap printer whenever the ink runs out.
