    Average performance - weak connectivity

So my 8 year old Logitech wireless kb/mouse combo reached it's lifespan and I needed to replace it quickly and on a budget. I'd give this setup a 5 for price. Performance and connectivity for me are the shortcomings of this combo which is why I give it a 3 overall. The mouse connection is good but the kb is sketchy and slow - seems like the mouse needs to be active for the kb to work - ie; watching a movie using VLC you should be able to use the kb commands to pause, raise/lower volume etc and this does work, but not all the time. I find I have to activate or move the mouse before the kb functions. My old Logitech didn't do this - I NEVER turned off that kb for 8 yrs, never had to replace a battery, never had to remove/replace the pairing usb to reset. This HP setup just doesn't hold it's connection. The mouse is not precise. You will labor to cut and paste - I've tweaked the settings but it's still pretty sloppy. If you wanted this for casual use you can't go wrong for the price. But if you are like me and use a PC for your media center and park you butt in a lounger and use the kb/mouse for controls I'd recommend looking at something better than the HP.

    Works well, but poor range.

Picked this up to replace an older keyboard/mouse set that I had. Overall, I'm pleased with it, and I haven't had any issues with the mouse when operating at a reasonable distance (say, 4-5 feet) but the keyboard has fairly poor range. Any further than 2 feet or so and it begins to drop out, which was an issue for me as my computer sits under my desk and the USB ports sit low in the back, so it would work, but constantly drop keystrokes, and sometimes just stop communicating altogether. I did have a USB extension on hand that I just ran up to where the monitor is, which solved the problem, but this isn't typical of wireless keyboards in my experience. If you're going to be placing your keyboard very close to your machine (or have a USB extension available) this is a cheap, well made keyboard that feels fairly nice to use. But if you think you're going to need to use it at any sort of distance, you might want to look elsewhere.

I've been trying to find a suitable keyboard and mouse combo, but I haven't had good luck in doing so. I usually stick with Microsoft packs, but there aren't many around, at least in my area. Logitech seems to own the market and I've never had a happy experience with their keyboards. So I tried this inexpensive HP. The mouse lasted about a week with me. It's just too small for my hands. My biggest complaint is that the USB signal cuts out no matter how close I get the transmitter to the keyboard. I'll be typing and it just stops. I know I'll be replacing this unit as soon as I see something else that I think might work or I find a Microsoft keyboard that I like and is in my price range. If you need a cheap setup, this will suffice, but I wouldn't count on it lasting very long.

    I hate this keyboard

I normally type fast-ish and accurately but this keyboard fails to register my key strokes quite often (more specifically, the entire "Shift" key row and lower). I tried to emphasize pressing the buttons harder but it didn't come naturally and it felt this shouldn't be necessary. I recently purchased a new computer and it came with a new keyboard and I DON'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM with the new keyboard. This keyboard may be okay for someone who types slower or types hard on the keys. However, I rather spend $20 on a keyboard that suits anyone's style of typing.

Not an outstanding keyboard by any means, but for $20 with the mouse, it's completely fine for a computer that only gets used occasionally. The keyboard has the standard keys in a sort of conventional layout, but it lacked the separation between the edit/arrow keys and the numeric keypad. I didn't think this would be a big deal, but it became annoying. They keys aren't as 'snappy' as one might like, but this is preference. Again, for $20 I shouldn't complain.

I wanted a wireless keyboard so I bought this for the larger keys on the keyboard and the sale price, but once in a while I hit a key and nothing happens. I do love the Paste, Copy and Cut shortcut keys on the left and the volume keys on the right so I put up with the occasional key not working. However, I did not like the mouse and ended up going back to my other wireless mouse from Logitech.

Purchased this just to have a wireless mouse and keyboard for a system I have at home. No real complaints other than for the price point you can't expect much. The mouse works, but isn't even remotely comfortable. The keyboard is fine, feels fine, looks fine, works fine, nothing special about it.

Absolutely great deal. Mouse is smooth and fits great in my hand. Keyboard layout is perfect except I find the keys to be extremely loud. It's almost like I'm making popcorn in the office except there's no popcorn and it's just me typing lol

Well it's a basic key board looked alright but the the USB for it was loose and putting it in it fell apart. I'm away for work a lot and my 30 days for return to Best buy excited and they told me they could do nothing about it, but to send it to the manufacturer. I don't have time for that. Oh well. It's a good product.

This is solid for a basic office setup. Keystrokes are quiet, but it is a membrane keyboard, but the target audience for this isn't expecting otherwise. Mouse is a good size.

If your on a budget then buy this set. only complain is that I do not know when the caps are on or not unlike other higher cost set that would have the light on if caps are on. So when entering passwords for online could be tricky.

I have had the wireless keyboard less than 1 month. I am typing, but not all the letters are coming out on my computer. I am ready to return it. My last wireless keyboard did not have these problems.

The K on this keyboard sticks all the time. It's annoying. I have no use for the buttons on the sides. I like the mouse much better. It works very smooth and easy. I'll use this for now, but won't buy it again.

Short term cooling is poor. Long term (over 30 minutes is very good. Gauges are difficult to read, particularly to know mode. Fan power is poor. Overall a 5 on 10 scale. Review for Honeywell portable a\c, 17,000 btu

When purchasing this I was looking for some more cost effective. Now that I’ve used it for a while, I wish I would have spent a little more money for a better version.

I really like this keyboard but it doesn't work properly. I put brand new batteries in it and just a short time later, it quit working again and I've only used it for a couple weeks.

Mouse is too small. Keyboard is ok but sometimes it just misses some characters. Not sure if this is battery issue or a keyboard issue

I am very disappointed that the keyboard does not have a light to designate that it i s in "capital" mode. I have made that error many times and have to delete my typing.

Pretty basic cordless keyboard and mouse set. We'll see how long these last (I find cordless ones never seem to last too long but sometimes a cord just won't do).
