I recently purchased the HP DeskJet 2734e Wireless All-In-One Inkjet printer, and I’m really impressed with its performance. Setting it up was quick and easy, especially with the wireless connectivity, which allowed me to print directly from my phone and laptop without any hassle. The print quality is great for both color and black-and-white documents, and it handles a variety of paper types smoothly. I was also pleasantly surprised by how quiet it is during printing, which makes it perfect for use in a home office. The all-in-one functionality is fantastic – I can print, scan, and copy all in one compact machine, saving space and making it a great option for those with limited room. The included HP Smart app is also a helpful tool for managing print jobs, checking ink levels, and scanning documents with ease.

TLDR: On sale, this is an acceptable printer - especially if you treat it as disposable or are going to print a LOT - or sparingly. ****** CONNECTIVITY: This has par-for-the-course connectivity. You can connect via a phone app or a computer program, both over a shared WiFi network. With an HP+ account (free), you can tell it to print something wherever you are via "cloud-connected smart printing". ****** FEATURES: Basic printing, copying and high dpi scanning. All done via the app or program. ****** BUILD QUALITY: the white plastic this was made from is thin, though it looks nice. Just keep kids away - especially since the feed tray is a fold-out kind. PRINT QUALITY: This is average. Text looks a little soft around the edges. Some low-ink streaks appeared during initial testing, but improved. It likely needs a warm up for best results. STANDS OUT: It's cheap. Especially right now (on sale). If you use it a LOT, the included 9 month subscription to ink refills will make the printer pay for itself, as a refill could cost what you pay for the whole thing. ****** DEAL BREAKERS: 1.) Printer MUST be connected to HPs software. There is no exception. You HAVE to give over personal info. Getting the software set up gave me problems, as well, so that was frustrating. HPs business model does not give you the choice to just connect through your network or WiFi Direct. 2.) Feed and paper trays are both small and exposed. 3.) Instant Ink can be spendy. ****** CONCLUSION: If you intend to keep it in a safe spot away from kids and use a bunch of ink in the first 9 months, the low purchase price is worth it. After that, though, Instant Ink tiers get spendy, and you wouldn't want to use this little guy for heavy printing anyway. Ultimately, that makes this a throw-away product and contributes to e-waste. I also absolutely hate any device which _requires_ an account to use, when alternatives exist. I think most people should avoid this one.

    Technological Marvel: HP Deskjet 2734e

From the moment I unboxed the HP Deskjet 2734e, I knew my life was about to change – and not just because I nearly tripped over the cat in my excitement. This isn't just a printer; it's the Leonardo da Vinci of modern office machinery, capable of turning mere paper into masterpieces. Before the Deskjet 2734e, my home office was a place of sorrow, where documents went to die in a heap of smudges and paper jams. Now? It's a paper paradise, a wonderland where every printout is a ticket to joy. The setup was so easy, I thought I’d accidentally cast some sort of tech wizard spell. With just a few clicks, I was connected to all my devices. Yes, even the ancient tablet I found in the back of a drawer, which I'm pretty sure is powered by some form of dark magic. The print quality is so superb, I printed out a photo of my dog wearing sunglasses and now everyone thinks I hired a professional photographer. "Is this from a gallery?" they ask, staring in awe at the vivid colors and crisp lines. "No," I reply, basking in the glow of my printer's prowess, "this is the HP Deskjet 2734e's magnum opus." But it's not just about looks. This printer is as smart as it is beautiful. It whispers sweet nothings to my smartphone, offering to print documents from anywhere in the world. I once sent a print job from the comfort of a hammock in Bali, and like a loyal pet, my Deskjet was waiting with the finished work upon my return. The ink efficiency deserves its own sonnet. I'm convinced the cartridges contain an elixir of eternal cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. I printed my entire family tree, including distant cousins thrice removed, and the ink levels barely budged. If HP isn't secretly employing wizards, I'll eat my hat. In conclusion, the HP Deskjet 2734e isn't just the best printer on the market; it's a beacon of hope in a world cluttered with lesser devices. It doesn't just print; it enhances your life, one stunningly clear and vibrant page at a time. Buying this printer was the best decision I've made since adopting my cat, Sir Fluffington, and I do believe they've become quite fond of each other. 5 stars, would recommend to anyone who values excellence, innovation, and occasionally printing out pictures of pets in formal attire

This printer is versatile in functionality. It prints well, & it has not jammed on me yet and I’ve printed over 150 pages. It can scan your photos in from your childhood or other cherished memories and digitize them in high quality and clarity without loss in image quality. Photos can get lost and damaged but when digitally stored, now a days; even if your computer breaks down and stops booting your most loved photos can be stored in the cloud and you can use 2 step authentication to always have access to your data even if you forget your email login. If you have a phone, email, computer with internet access and a printer with a scanner, you have the full arsenal of necessities for data storage, editing capabilities, business running components, ensuring preservation of photos, creating your own flyers, picture printouts, sensitive information printouts for record keeping and beyond. This printer might as well be HP model number Johnny Cash because it’s a total rockstar.

Coming from the smaller 3755, I though the 2734e was huge. It barely fit on top of the stand. However, once it was all set, it is not that big at all. Aesthetically, I appreciate the matte white finish as it attracts fewer smudges. While made almost entirely out of plastic and surprisingly light, it seems well built. The lid, trays, and feeder backrest are sturdy and do not wabble. It is easy to add paper to the feeder. Thankfully, the cartridges are easy to install and replace, which can be annoying in other printers. The installation process takes some care, effort, and time. However, this is the new norm for most online printers, so no surprise there. First, you’d need to install an app on your PC or mobile device, create an account if you don’t have one, and carefully follow the installation instructions. If anything goes wrong, one must start the whole process again. Once the process is completed and the printer is set in the network, it’s smooth sailing from there. Although it can be a bit bothersome to install, the app is extremely useful. There, you can check the printer’s status, ink levels, get support, update firmware, and manage your account. You can print docs, scans, pictures, and screens remotely, from your mobile device -very useful. The printer can have its own “email” address should the app not be available. Being part of the HP Ink program for a few years, I can attest that I am very satisfied with it. There are levels of service and price depending on how much is being printed measured in sheets. I have been comfortable with 50 pages a month. HP will monitor your ink levels if the printer is online, and when the levels drop low, HP will send you cartridge replacements. I have never run out of ink. The used cartridges are mailed back with provided shipping packaging. One of the biggest upgrades from my previous model, is the ability to scan docs. I didn’t know I needed this feature as much as I thought. It’s quite fun to scan pictures for cards or docs. In the end I am very satisfied with this printer. It is certainly an upgrade for me. For the asking price, it is very good value in my opinion.

You need to take some time to install the app to use the printer, but you can easily find examples and instructions on Google. It's very easy to use. Both the scanning and printing functions work great! The only thing I'm concerned about is: how could the ink run out after printing fewer than 50 pages?

When I get this printer to work, it works great. I have a Samsung little laptop, and it's just not compatible with any printer. I bought this printer thinking I wouldn't have any problems connecting. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. I have to wire it to my laptop. And even then it's difficult. And then out of nowhere it starts to print. Lol I just can't figure it out. Anyway. I end up using my kids laptops when their not busy. Their college students and always on the laptops. The wireless connectivity works perfect with my son's Asus and my daughter's MS surface. So just throwing that out there for those of us that just have a plain laptop to pay bills on. It prints fast. It's not small. So it will take up all the room on your desk. I just take mine out when needed. It was a great price. And is not an eyesore. Unlike the canon I had before.
