Not reliable at all. Printer cartridge life is a joke . . .HP is ripping off consumers with the ink. Had it for less than a month and it’s headed for the garbage can because Best Buy says “no longer refundable.” Never will we “Best Buy” again. We are done.

I’m sorry that your printer has failed to maintain a reliable wireless connection, and that it has used ink more rapidly than you’d anticipated. I can wholly understand why this would be an unsettling combination. I want to help you resolve these issues. If you’ve not yet discarded the device, I hope the resources and information below do just that.

Next, regarding ink use, I can’t say for certain what has happened in your case, but if you’re still using the cartridges that came with the printer, I’ll point out that some models use what are known as setup cartridges. These have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less still than ones in our Instant Ink program.
If you’ve installed replacement cartridges, the XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 200 to 240 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 100 to 120 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

I had another HP printer years ago that lasted for over 7 years. Then when it died I bought one from a competitor and it was junk. Then I got smart and bought THIS HP Printer/Scanner and I realize once again WHY I bought HP products to begin with. HP is the Best you are going to find, anywhere! Frustrating little printer

Whether using the HP App, WiFi direct or your own network, it is a challenge to connect to this printer and it will drop the connection right after you get it working. Not sure if that is the printer itself or just the HP software side, as I have had trouble with HP printers before.
