I purchased it in September for occasional home printing and have had to fight with it every single time I've wanted to print something. Whether it is offline, has an error message, or simply doesn't print the queue, this printer just does not work consistently (it barely works at all). I have to troubleshoot every time I go to print. Some issues include, but are not limited to, the wifi not being connected, the "door being open", not giving an option to print in color when color ink is installed, power button blinking for no reason- the list goes on. I am the type of person to search for a solution before getting frustrated. I have used the HP "chat" feature for help. Doesn't work. I have downloaded the "Scan Doctor"- "failed to communicate with your selected product". I unplug the printer basically every time I need to use it- works about half the time. I reset the wifi basically every time I use it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice. When the wifi isn't connected I've tried the "wifi direct" open to print without internet and it doesn't work. Doesn't even let me connect to the printer. And then, of course, when I try to troubleshoot I'm not connected to my internet anymore so I need to switch back to try and look up the issue. A fun, cyclical problem. Right now all I want to do is print a coupon and I am getting an error message that the "door is open" I have opened the shut the door multiple times, turned off the printer, unplugged the printer. Everything. The HP Smart App says the printer is ready- nope. Doesn't print. Three days ago I wanted to print a resume in color and the printer would not give me the option- only grayscale and black and white. I googled. I restarted. I used the chat app. There is no reason why the printer isn't printing in color and three days later the same thing is happening with a different print job. I am done. This printer is absolute garbage. I thought the HP Smart App would be nice function but when the printer doesn't work the app means nothing. I should have returned it the first time it didn't print well but I thought it was user error and I would get better. I was wrong. A horrible waste of money.
