This is great if you are looking to conserve space. The scanning function can be a bit difficult at times, and it is very loud when printing. Overall it does its job and I'm happy with it.

My two complaints are that although it is quiet while printing, it is very noisy when sending the piece of paper down to print; and the tray in front to catch the copies doesn't catch any...if I don't catch them coming out of the printer they go flying out all over the room.

THIS PRINTER IS SO SLOW AND EXTREMELY LOUD. I WAS SURPRISED TO SEE THAT HP MADE THIS PRINTER, I USUALLY LOVE HP PRODUCTS BUT THIS PRINTER WAS JUST NOT WORTH THE MONEY I SPENT FOR IT.

Great small sized printer. Is a little loud when the paper first goes in but works great.

Has everything I need. Unril you change the print settings it is pretty loud but afterwords it is much quieter and still fast. I wish it could hold a little more paper though.

I was looking for a wireless all-in-one with a small footprint and this one has everything that I need. It is a tad bit noisy when printing, and it doesn't print very quickly, so if you have high volume jobs to print, this might not be your best option, but other than that, I would say it's great. Definitely a good value for the price.

Prints slow and is kinda loud but does the job well for the price. I only use it to print small essays. I like that it's small. Sits perfectly on my small desk.

I LOVE this tiny Printer. I love that I can print directly from my phone. B&W copies come out in a flash, color pix take longer and are a little noisy but still quick and clean. So happy with the small size!

The printer and the cartridges are inexpensive. I don't print a lot so when my old HP gave out after 15 years I wanted another one. This printer does the job and is actually pretty fast. It's a little loud but I can live with that.

I did much research over which kind of HP printer to get. I ended up deciding on this one because it can do many tasks that I would need for my home office. Plus, it was so small that I thought it would be good for the office. I have a very decorative office and I wanted an item to be minimally seen. I did notice that the noise was a little louder than anticipated but thus far my copies, scanned documents and print outs were just fine.

I bought this printer with a new computer. Because it was so cheap, I had had my doubts. But into the 5th month and running perfectly? @@@@@@@@ but a bit noisy). Great for someone that does not print a lot.

I love this little printer. Big bang for the buck. I wanted something small and portable to use at home and this works perfectly. The printing is a smidge loud, but most printers are when they're in a cost effective price range. I opted for the compact size as my main priority, so this was ideal... Even has a handle.

    First HP Purchase

This was my first purchase of an hp product and I heard such great reviews about how user friendly the brand is and after speaking with a Best Buy associate, he highly recommended it. . When I bought this it was insanely complicated to get it to connect to wifi and after several hours on the phone with hp support (someone foreign and hard to understand) I gave up on the wireless function. I tried to use it with 1st basic paper and it printed ok, though there were lines in the paper that did go away after a few prints (what a waste of ink though); then cardstock and it took no less than 4 and a half minutes to print 1 page. It was loud and jerky the whole time, and this was all on the correct settings per hp support as well (a different conversation than figuring out the wifi issue). It refused to feed matte flyer paper AND photo paper which I specifically asked the BB salesperson if it was compatible and we researched together and the website said yes it was. Even though the settings were entered properly on the computer and the printer, it would just not "recognize the paper type". The only thing "easy" or "user friendly" about this printer was ordering ink because the built in app popped up on the screen every time a new page printed and reminded you to buy ink, super annoying. Ultimately, it was not worth the hassle and I returned it and bought a cannon which had better print quality and I could use it with different kinds of paper. This hp printer would be ok for the person who prints less than 20 pages, on regular standard paper, with black ink only, per month.

      HP Team

      Hey,

I'm so sorry about these print quality, paper feeding, and connectivity issues you encountered! Despite this experience, I assure you that it’s always our intention to provide much more reliable printing. With that said, I regret that we fell short this time. It is unfortunate to hear that you had to return the printer, but I hope that the process for doing so was seamless.

I also hope that you'll allow us another opportunity in the future to stand by the quality we pride ourselves on. We would love a chance to make things right.

      Take care,

I purchased this printer for its compact size and fun mint/sea green color. I previously had a huge, bulky canon pixma printer that took up a ton of space and had very expensive ink ($60-$80 to replace all ink). I love the size and color of the HP deskjet printer and its low cost ink (just $25 total to replace black and color). I'm happy with this printer and would buy again! One thing tho - when I turned on the printer and tried installing the ink for the first time, it made a loud clunking noise, and the ink cartridges wouldn't move. There was this little black piece sticking up blocking the cartridges from moving. I ended up turning off the printer, then pushed the black piece down and released it (did this 2-3 times), then I turned on the printer again - and the black piece finally moved down, allowing the cartridges to move out. Kinda weird and concerning - but I've been using the printer for 2-3 weeks now with no issues. Printing isn't super fast, but neither was my more expensive canon printer, so I'm fine with it. Would buy again.
