    Printer works like a charm, does all I need it to do, but HP Smart is very flaky, times it works, other do not. Contacted HP Support and apparently the software was not properly or fully installed (?) so they installed an older software. Funny... the IOS version works nice so I actually print and scan from my iPhone.

    This is the third HP printer I have owned. The previous printer I used and still have is the 5660 Envy All-in-One. I purchased that printer in 2015 and used it until I purchased this printer. The only reason I purchased this printer is because the top of the scanner of the Envy broke off (from my own doing). I needed to be able to scan documents. Besides that, the printer worked like a saint (no issues, which never happens with printers). So, when I purchased this printer, I was surprised when I had issues right off the bat. I noticed that right away, there was no way to IDENTIFY THE ISSUE DIRECTLY ON THE PRINTER (YOU HAVE TO USE THE APPLICATION EITHER ON YOUR PHONE, TABLET, COMPUTER OR WHATEVER OTHER DEVICE YOU USE). YOU GET ONE FLASHING LIGHT FOR EVERY SINGLE ISSUE. THE YELLOW/ORANGE FLASHING LIGHT OF DEATH. I can tell you the number of times I have had to deal with that light. It was odd when it wasn't on. ERRORS LIKE "stalled ink cartridge", "paper jam", "unusable cartridge" (and these were cartridges I received from instant ink and were just taken out of the package), "cartridge jam," etc. I could go on all day with the various errors. My printer did not send the information when it was out of ink, so I had to contact instant ink to get ink, which was ridiculous. I purchased it in January and I finally bought a new printer yesterday.
