Couldn't beat the sale price. Works great. Sets up easily. The app also works well and even includes a free fax sending feature. The printer has the ability to send items directly to the printer with its own email address. What I don't like is that you could be suckered into an ink replacement subscription if you forget to cancel it after the 6 month free trial thus limiting you to HP-branded cartridges (5 sets = the cost of the printer) rather than cheaper generics.

The Hp Deskjet 4133e All-In-One Inkjet Printer is a very sleek modern looking printer with just two ink tanks to deal with one tri-color and one black. However, the simplicity does not stop there. The HP+ printer app is very well laid out with large easy-to-use touch tabs putting all of your functionality in an easy-to-use simple layout. Not only did HP put the easy-to-use large tabs in the app you also get an ink level indicator right at the top next to your printer status indicators. I really like the HP-Deskjet 4133e’s abilities when it comes to mobile printing. It makes it easy to print documents and photos from your phone as well as other printables like envelopes, business cards etcetera. The on-printer buttons are also simple and easy to use but you do need the app to set the printer up and get the benefit of all of the simplified functionality. The HP-Deskjet 4133e is designed for light home use with the two-tank system and the 60-page paper feeder you do not want to use this printer for a small business. However, it is very well equipped for what it was designed for and it has the benefit of the copy feeding tray on top for making multiple-page document copies so easy that there is just no comparison to using the flatbed. If you have had a printer with a document feeder then you know what I am talking about. You can also do a fax from within the app which is very convenient. The Hp Deskjet 4133e with the HP+ app is a great printer for the price especially on sale like it is now. Additionally, it has the most feature full simple app that I have used and I have three other brands of printers to compare it to. You really can not go wrong with it from the small footprint to the sleek design and the feature full yet simple app. This printer is a win all the way around unless you do a high volume of printing or you do not want to buy HP ink for it all the time. They have chips on the ink cartridges now and they update the software to keep them secure. However, they do offer a convenient ink refill program that monitors your ink levels and automatically sends new ones to your doorstep. That means no driving to go get ink and no worrying about running out. Not only that the refills are reasonably priced. So the added convenience and the savings in the frustration of running out of ink is eliminated which probably makes up the price difference of buying aftermarket ink. I would say if you want a printer with just about all the functionality you can get in a printer. Then the HP Deskjet 4133e All-In-One printer is a good choice for most families needs.

I have had many printers over the years and mostly all HP brand name. This printer came available and I wanted to see how it compared to other Office printers in the inkjet family. This one compared pretty decent. It has scanning and copying built in to a smaller profile printer which I find impressive. The quality of the print is great, almost the same as you'd get with a laser printer. The only drawback to this printer is it feels a bit cheap for the price. It included two starter ink cartridges and I've used through about half of each. The speed of the print isn't bad for an inkjet printer. It was probably the easiest setup I've ever done on a printer taking less than 5 minutes to get connected and start printing. Worked great on all devices and still includes a USB port on the back for hard wired connectivity. Overall, not a bad printer and I would recommend it to someone looking for just a basic all in one printer that can handle light, every day small printing tasks. Good print quality!

Super cool printer. fast prints, good quality of prints, it does an OK job of scanning (nothing super high quality, but better than scanning with a phone). Works well with MacOS. AirPlay is the reason I took so long to review, It is important if you plan on using the airPrint function over WiFi, that you in fact have a great WiFi connection. I ended up only seeing the printer intermediately and talked to Apple for a few hours to realize that I can move the printer to a better spot or upgrade the WiFi network. I upgraded the network and AirPrint has been working well for about a week now. I really enjoy the functionality this printer offers. the initial ink kit seems to be small but the subsequent ink orders have provided a lot of value. The only other complaint I have about the printer is the inability to receive faxes, but I suspect that I am in the minority that actually cares about that function. After tinkering with the build in mobile faxing function and it works well albeit with the caveat of not being able to receive faxes just send.

Good print, inexpensive and easy to set up. Our other printer (older HP) decided to not be able to go into wifi mode anymore and had to be replaced. HP printers eeem to be the best for home use, the old one was 15 years or more old, and I feel that this one will last that long too.

I was pleasantly surprised that this was not that hard to set up. My last HP all in one printer was black and this is white, much prettier, I think. It took me a little while to figure out how to make sure you press the ink cartridges into their slots, but you have to push until you hear the click. It took a little while to pair with my wireless internet but finally figured it out. If I can do it, anyone can. I was impressed with the document feeder, since my last HP didn't have one. It's also nice that there's a button on the top of the unit if you want to print with color and another one if you only want a black copy. This is so much easier than having to indicate that on your computer screen. And there are only 2 ink cartridges 1 for black the other for colors. You can cancel and resume a job with the click of a button too. Very nice features, that save you time because they're featured on the top panel control. So much easier than going into a screen to start and stop all the time.

    Not terrible, but nothing special

There is nothing terribly wrong with the HP DeskJet 4133e but there’s also nothing special or unique about it. It prints, though slower than expected. The print quality is on par with most inkjet printers these days, but it doesn’t amaze you or dazzle you with its output. The scan functions work as they’ve worked for years with HP’s Smart App and the printer has all the things that are standard on all HP printers: it has Wifi, no longer comes with a USB cable but has the port still included on the back, and it’s got just enough of a display to show you error images but not large enough that the error messages mean much. It’s a chunky printer so you need a good size side table or desk or if you are like me you hide this thing away in a server room so you don’t have to see it that often. But what baffles me about the size is that the way the ink jet cartridges are designed to fit into the unit is through this awkward tiny opening as if HP didn’t like the idea of using a hinge to prop open the printer to get access to the innards yet they chose to keep this giant blocky design that seems unnecessarily large. It’s only a two cartridge printing system (black and color) which means you’re going to waste a lot of ink for colors that you don’t use all that often. This surprises me as more companies are leaving behind cartridges and moving to refillable bottles and as much as HP touts being environmentally friendly, continuing to waste ink like this seems a step backwards. And like the rest of the HP line of printers this printer is designed to be always connected to the Internet so that HP can continue to draw subscription revenue from the HP Instant Ink program that you’ll have to sign up for to get the larger ink refill cartridges.
The bottom line for me is that if you have basic printing needs for spreadsheets, documents and simple copy jobs, this gets the job done and the end result will suffice, but if you’re looking to do more than the basic printing, you’ll need to look for a different printer.

Easy to set up and connect to wifi to be able to print from all computers and our phones. It’s a little bigger/bulkier than expected but has worked great so far. It was an option to make it less noisy but we haven’t tried it yet (it’s not too noisy though)

Good Best Buy service / OK printer / Creepy HP

    Posted .

Good service from Best Buy / fast shipping time. And good sale price at Best Buy. The printer itself is alright...materials aren't great, but you get what you pay for. 3 stars because: [1] the Smart app kept crashing (first on my iPhone then on my PC). HP just pushes the Smart app to harvest your personal data and insert themselves between you and the printer. Do yourself a favor and get a printer USB cord and just connect manually. [2] Instant Ink is a complete scam. Be careful. They rope you in with the free trial but then will charge you the monthly fee even for pages you don't print, or will charge you extra if you go over your limit. After the free trial, if you cancel, your instant ink cartridge will stop working! I canceled the free trial the day after I learned this because I want to stay far away from HP and don't want them remotely monitoring & locking my printer. Creepy.
