Customers are saying

Customers admire the Desktop - AMD Ryzen 5-Series's performance, ease of use, and reasonable price. Many appreciate its quiet operation, compact size, and the included solid-state drive for fast storage. Some users noted limitations in the power supply and upgradability options. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the concerns about limited upgrade potential.

This PC isn't getting enough hype. For the price, I am very happy with my purchase! Very fast and responsive. I have played all of my games so far on Ultra with no issues. SDD fills up fast but I already ordered an external HD which this pc comes with power cords/adapter and screws so it is all ready to go for it. Very quiet even when gaming, never over heats or even feel warm to the touch. Keyboard it came with is trash and there is no back stand to even tilt it, def get a mechanical keyboard, I highly rec Razer's huntsman collection. All in all if you're looking for a FAST PC that will keep up with your gaming needs and run multiple tabs at a time, look no further.

Since I stated working from home a lot more I needed a fast efficient desktop to get my workload done. So far this HP has been great! It doesn’t’t take up a lot of room so that’s a plus and it’s been easy to navigate through it. I would definitely recommend it.

I purchased this product so I could join the turbo tax campaign.I have not regretted a moment of this Purchase..This light weight tower of 128GB of storage and 12 Gigs of power instead of 4 or 8 which is required for the jobs I work on is wonderful!!! I will continue using this as my back up work computer and everyday house computer because it is everyday reliable for all internet needs long after the tax season has gone It has proven to be a Dependable and powerful little machine that is compact and light weight enough to travel on a plane or train with you. This great purchase came right on time for extra money during the time of COVID-19!!

I was looking at a Dell similarly configured but the Best Buy / HP price pulled me in. Very happy with the AMD Ryzen 5-Series processor-it's snappy. I bought this via Best Buy's Open Box "Geek Squad Certified" - everything looked in excellent condition, even brand new. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the one time I tried using a DVD (about 3-4 weeks after purchase), the button to open/eject the carriage works (I can hear it trying to open). Unfortunately, it just cycles trying to open the carriage but never does. It's still stuck and I have to use a thin piece of plastic to pop it open...not what I expected for being Geek Squad Certified. Overall, though, it was a great deal.

Fast CPU at an affordable price with SSD drive

Normally, I would custom build a pc but needed one in a rush so I decided to try this model. This pc has a Ryzen 5 AMD CPU with a built-in graphics card, so no external graphics card is needed. The construction is poor, thin metal, very flimsy DVD writer. However, for the price it's basically a good deal due to the price of the CPU alone if you were building a custom pc. I have used AMD chips for years, and they provide high performance for the money. This was my main decision to purchase this pc, as I knew this CPU would meet my performance requirements. Being a Linux user, I removed the Windows10 installation and installed Ubuntu, Also upgraded the memory to 32GB which I bought at the same time. This pc is extremely fast and can stream content flawless with excellent graphics. Watched a movie on youtube right out of the box with no buffering, and razor sharp video using a new HP HD monitor 1920X1080 resolution. So while I cannot accurately report on the performance with Windows 10 very much, since I only used it for a few hours, it was quite responsive, The memory upgrade of course dramatically improved the speed. It comes with 12GB which should be enough for general use, but I utilize memory intensive applications so I needed an upgrade. And the built-in SSD hard drive also contributes to performance of this pc. All in all, fairly good value for the money. Had this pc almost 6 months, no issues with the hardware.

Keep in mind it is only a month old but this desktop boots quickly, runs cool and is very quiet (silent). I have not owned a desktop in years so was pleased with the smaller footprint. I felt the price for the quality processor (I am not an AMD hater), 12 GB memory and the 512 GB hard drive was a good bargain. I have it hooked to 2 monitors to run financial spreadsheets, pivot tables, etc. It really has done a great job!

I purchased this HP computer after making a thorough comparison of similar desk top computers and on the recommendations of several individuals who have had years of personal experience operating and repairing computers. Everyone I sought a recommendation from recommended a SSD computer over a hard drive. And after having this computer for a few days I understood why. It is lightening fast, extremely quiet, energy efficient and more than meets my needs in every aspect. And in addition its smaller in size! Finally I purchased mine as a weekend special for the unbelievable price of $399.99!

Does everything I need quickly and quietly! The SSD works silently and produces information quickly as well. Just added a removable hard drive for storage and it's all I need. All my peripherals hooked up with no qualms. I'm happy. The only con is the DVD drawer. Who thought it was a good idea to mount is sideways. It's awkward to use.

Got this pc just under $500 which in itself looks like a very good bargain. I say looks because other then the ram, everything else in the pc is pretty much un-upgradable which HP and Best-Buy seems to not mention. not a very good tactic to win over customers imho. dont get me wrong, the pc runs and performs well. but going out of your way to make a pc un-upgradable and not mentioning it, is not cool. word of note for the ram. the pc comes with 12gb ram (only 10gb shows for some reason, they advertise the pc as 12gb). I upgraded it to 32gb (30gb shows) only to notice that the original 2gb allocated to video memory remains unchanged even after the upgrade to 32gb. HP blocked it in bios. you cant even adjust the ram speeds. again not cool. seems like the company went out of its way to block all possible ways to upgrade this pc. I will give it a good rating but with a bitter taste in my mouth for the lack of transparency from both HP and BestBuy.

Upgraded to this from an 8 year old HP. If you are in that boat allow enough time and patience to work through the changes Windows 10 presents. In particular be aware that Microsoft will try to force their stuff on you. And there is a lot to absorb. I was a computer engineer for over 20 years and it took a good bit of time for me to process it all. The setup is well done but go slow and take it in. After a couple days of using the pc, then it will start to feel comfortable. Also note that it will upload/sync your files to their Onedrive cloud storage if you agree. That's fine but note that it only has 5GB free then you have to pay for more. Note that editing files there does not edit the file on your hard drive. If you edit a file on the hard drive you can tell it to save it to the cloud but make sure you first save to your hard drive. Hence there are 2 different "documents" folders the virtual one and the hard drive one and you need to pay attention to which one you are on. You can still use thumb drives to backup important files as needed. Overall a good machine for the really important stuff, Fast and quiet. Haven't played a lot of games yet, but so far I like what I see. The graphics are excellent and I do not see lag like I did with my old pc. It helps to have 3 times the RAM! Now for the catches. They are not major and other reviewers have commented on some of these, but just be aware. They did keep me from giving 5 stars: 1. The keyboard and mouse are worthless Chinese junk. The box is assembled in Mexico. HP should just leave them out and charge less so you can just find your own way, like with monitors. I use a wireless keyboard from years ago. In fact I found the new in the box keyboard from my 8 year old pc that this is replacing and that keyboard is totally superior than the one with this machine. The mouse they provide is a cheap flimsy feeling thing. Likewise I continue to use my cordless mouse anyway so no matter. 2. This "desktop" like so many is not huge, but it is big enough that most reasonable people won't put it on their desk. On the floor it is out of the way, but with one catch. The power-on "thing" (it is too tiny and minimally recessed to qualify as a button) is at the very bottom of the front of the box. Say what?! My old one had it up on the top of the front, where it belongs! The power thing is too small and recessed that you can not flick it down there with a toe to turn it on. You have to bend all the way down and press. But, keep in mind, it is recessed and black just like the box, so you have to feel around a bit. 3. The DVD drive is low quality. Does it read and load a disc, yes. But the door flap releases only after multiple presses and then it does not open, you have to pull the door flap open yourself. It is in sorry need of a release button that actually opens the door. Once the dvd is loaded the drive is very noisy. Thankfully these days one does not need to use the dvd much as most things can be up uploaded digitally. But if you have old software on discs that is your only choice. Overall, I think this is a good deal for the price given the memory, storage and the chipset. My opinion is that AMD chips are better for higher level users and Intel relies too much on their brand name and delivers lower performance. It is just too bad HP went cheap or misguided on some minor things. If I had been their QA engineer they would be better, loll!

So I'm into Virtualization and music production and need a computer that can handle my workload, A computer with processing speed that can handle my many virtual networks and my music production software and files that requires a lot of memory and hard drive space. The initial setup is easy, no problem connecting the hardware, wireless network and configuring the operating system and installation of Webroot . I installed all of my virtualization and Production apps, copied over my file and the computer is running with no hiccups or complaints. A Very Nice Computer for the money

This is a great computer and for the price you can't beat it. I have it for 1 month. It starts and ready to go in less than 10 seconds (for me). It shuts down just about as quick. The SSD drive is super quiet. I bought it mainly to watch movies on Netflix, Amazon Prime etc., and to watch sporting events. So far everything is great. This computer is very capable for beginner gamers but I am not an expert. Two cons; One is that the start button (it's on the upper right hand corner of PC) can't be seen unless you have good lighting. HP should put a little light or make the button florescent so it can be seen. However, once you figure out where it is you could start the PC blindfolded. Secondly, and this has nothing to do with the PC (It's either HP or MicroSoft) it automatically updates once a week. You cannot do anything to stop those updates.
