If anyone is reading this because they are hesitating to buy a refurbished laptop, I hope this review provides some reassurance. My laptop (purchased for me by my employer) arrived in pristine condition. If I wasn't aware that it was refurbished, I would never have guessed that it wasn't new. I have had it for almost eight months and have experienced no problems. I mainly use this laptop for research and writing, but will also stream audio and video on occasion or download files. Not once have I experienced lags or freezes, even with large data files, even with banner ads, and even when I have (arguably) left too many tabs and programs open at once. The processor is fast and I love having tons of memory. I can count on my laptop to do its job when I need it to! Thanks to a Bang & Olufsen display, images are sharp, and the sound is nice and clear too. Windows 11 is a bit different from what I used before (Windows 7), but is about equally intuitive and functional for my purposes. A charge cord was included. I almost never unplug my laptop, but I was able to use it for about 8-10 hours when it accidentally got disconnected and I didn't notice. The only drawback is that this smaller laptop doesn't have a built-in alphanumeric keypad (which I use for diacritical marks when I write in languages other than English and for data entry). However, you can get an external one that is wireless or connects with a USB if you need one. Essentially, I am happy with this laptop and would recommend buying a refurbished laptop from Best Buy with no qualms. The quality and value are excellent and I am very happy to have gotten such a good machine on a more modest budget.

DO NOT BUY REFURBISHED! I bought a refurbished HP EliteBook 14" from Best Buy. The company that refurbishes the laptop is Joy Systems. I was not able to complete the setup process of the laptop because it required "a work or school" account. I contacted Joy Systems and they sent me a flash drive to reinstall Windows. That didn't work so they told me to return it. I brought it to the Geek Squad and they said that Best Buy isn't even supposed to sell refurbished laptops to the general public. Ha! So I had to return it. I will say that Joy Systems customer service was very good, even though they couldn't solve my problem and told me to return the laptop.
