    Falls apart after 1 Yr

After 1 Yr of well-cared-for use, hardware is falling apart, the buttons get stiff, and the speaker/sound performance declines. The mousepad has never been as good as other laptops, the laptop is far heavier than any other laptop, HP has soddered components inside, so it can not be upgraded outside of HP's 3 month turnaround changes, the screen resolution is below average (in my experience). + Other problems For the amount spent, I was expecting more from HP. I've never even heard any tech savvy acquaintance of mine recommend HP, which says something too.

On paper has everything I wanted, but executed in a somewhat mediocre fashion. My personal laptop came with a dead pixel on the screen. The hinge is also made out of plastic and is already starting to pop off in the center of the hinge. The key layout is less than optimal, the alt keys are too wide and I inadvertently hit it when trying to press space. I do not enjoy having the fingerprint sensor in the middle of the keys. The laptop also gets extremely hot/ loud when utilizing the GPU. I'm replacing this with a more traditional gaming style laptop, because I know that it won't have similar issues to this. The biggest thing that I liked about this laptop was that it had a touch screen with a 3060, of which it's competing against maybe 3 other laptops. The battery life is also not able to keep up with a day of use of browsing the internet.

Just what I wanted. Excellent performance for the price. I used the laptop mainly for CAD, photo editing, light games, and web surfing. I get warn under heavy use, but you can turn up the fan speed to cool it off. Fan noise is lower than the other high end laptops that I have used. Battery life is average and needs 32GB or better RAM to operate at its best.

It was overwhelming trying to decide on the best laptop. I wanted a 15" screen and love the touchscreen too. I need something reliable, and this fits the bill.

I am very pleased with this computer. I use for News Articles. Email and You Tube Hunting videos. The Cooling Fan has only come on a very small number of times. Maybe for how back / bottom has a raised lip on bottom. It's always cool to touch. IT never has overheated. The speed of the computer is the fastest I have ever had I have never had no Videos Freeze upon me. The lighted Keys is nice also. The overall size of the computer fits me .I rate it a 10.

Advertised as a gaming laptop, not meant for games

While this is an absolutely stunning laptop for someone who may create videos, do photo editing, content creation, YouTube, art, Music etc. It is not designed to be a gaming laptop; they advertise it as such though. Here's why: You see, this has the raw hardware required to game. An RTX 3060, an I7-11800H. However, this laptop uses the MAX-Q system. Which is low wattage and designed more so for efficiency rather than raw performance. When you buy a gaming laptop, every brand has different wattage configurations, and those CONFIGS make a HUGE difference in performance. You HAVE TO RESEARCH the WATTAGE for whatever SPECIFIC BRAND and MODEL of gaming laptop you are buying from to see what the wattage LIMITS are. A REAL gaming laptop with an RTX 3060 would consume anywhere from 85W-130W. They did not advertise the wattage limit in store or on the box. You have to look it up YOURSELF, for EVERY brand of GAMING laptop. This laptop stock is only designed to handle 60w. Not exactly gaming oriented. I am currently trying to figure out how to modify the cooling system in this laptop with some liquid metal and better thermal pads on the GPU. If I can flash the V-bios and see how much wattage this thing can handle, I could possibly push it into gaming territory wattage. That being said, the average person will most likely never do this to their laptop. And this laptop was not originally designed for such. It would be too risky and would take too much time and experimentation for most. If you are a content creator of any form, I would recommend this laptop. But don't expect to receive a gaming designed laptop. Expect to receive a CREATOR STUDIO laptop. More information on what creator studio laptops is here: "The Creator Edition laptops are also part of NVIDIA's RTX Studio program and have NVIDIA Studio drivers. According to NVIDIA, "NVIDIA RTX Studio laptops and desktops, combined with GPU acceleration technology and exclusive Studio Drivers, dramatically enhance performance and stability in essential Adobe apps."

Mid to high end laptop. I've been using this for several years now, can't complain. All basic apps work well and computer is responsive. The keys feel nice to type on. Battery still lasts well over an hour, especially if the brightness is turned down. Only complaint is that the power brick is kind of big when needing to travel.

I got this as my first laptop with a dedicated graphics card and still wanted touchscreen. I now see why touchscreen gaming laptops are so rare. The computer itself and graphics in games are amazing, my issue was the cooling of the laptop. Keep in mind I was using it on my lap, but 15 minutes in playing a game above the keyboard would be burning to the touch. I really wanted to love this, but decided to return and buy a traditional gaming laptop in hopes of better cooling system.

I needed to replace my existing ENVY 17m that has a MX150 video card with an upgrade to do 3D scanning and modelling. Found the ENVY with the RTX 3060 at a reasonable price and took a chance. The video upgrade made a huge difference on overall speed and resolution. The fans are a bit noise when the CPU is really working, but not too bad. Happy for the purchase I made and purchased another one as a backup.

I really wanted to like this laptop. The configuration is great. Very fast as expected. But it came with a dead battery, and I spent a lot of time to research on whether it is missing any windows drive update etc. as I kept getting the message "no battery detected". Another flaw was the fan noise. I was expecting this as a quite laptop but the fan noise was too loud during the windows setup and driver updates. I had to return it.

I’ve purchased three of these in less than 3 years and two of them had unrecoverable crashes and one had serious screen graphics issues. Of course, it all happened when they were right out of warranty. I’ll never buy an HP laptop again.
