I am not as impressed with this laptop as I had hoped to be. My old HP was a 17" with 8GB Ram & 1TB SSD drive. But no touchscreen & was super heavy. (I'm not sure how much my old HP weighs.)
I wanted to go with the 15.6" HP because it had 16GB of RAM & was substantially lighter but it only came with 512GB harddrive. I need a 1TB. (I don't know if upgrading the harddrive to a 1TB SSD would void the warranty or not?)
Below are my pros & cons of the 17.3" i7 HP.
Pros:
Touchscreen & Keyboard Responsive
Sufficient Storage
Few more ports than other laptops
Cons:
Battery dies in 3hrs,
Heavy
Sluggish/Slower Response than expected opening apps & files. My old HP had 8GB of RAM and it was as quick or quicker than this with 12GB of RAM.
Some apps features don't work in Windows 11 (Quickbooks)
I would return it but it was such a pain installing all of my stuff that I don't know if I want to go thru it all again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Fast. Great monitor -- both size and resolution. Plenty of memory.

So far this laptop has met my expectations. Easy set up. I’m a huge HP fan and this one definitely delivered.
