Paid too much for such inconsiderate treatment. College student is left with defective equipment.

Price was too high and not happy with the color of keyboard and letters you can’t see them, they blend in with the keys.

laptop seems to do what we need it to do. Great customer service both on the sales floor and in the geek squad area.

This computer has totally quit on me after less than two years. Would not recomend.

Three weeks after buying it -- stopped working. I've never had good luck with HP products. I should have learned, but let that Best Buy employee talk me into spending more than $1200 for this piece of junk.

Have had to take it back once because it would not power on and call Geek Squad a second time because it would power on again.

Liked it when it worked but had issues with charging

Very unhappy after 2 weeks the motherboard goes out.

HP tech support is not helpful. Going to return and purchase different brand. Had issues with HP products in past and made the mistake of purchasing again.

I just bought it and excoted to burn my first music cd only to find it does not recognize blank cds and rejects them all.

this is my second one of these . Lots of great features. Died after 7 months. Big fail.

This laptop is too touchy. Dread having to use it

This has been the best laptop I've ever used, very fast.

• The keyboard is silver and the letters are so light colored that they are barely visible sometimes, especially in sunlight. The keyboard is quite visible at night because it receives the screen glare. The backlighting is of no benefit even though it lights up the letters/numbers, because the color of the light blends right into the silver key, so there is no contrast. The keyboard on my previous hp laptop was black with white lettering, and the backlight worked great at night because it shined through the lettering on the keys. • The CAPS LOCK light is so small and the color of the light blends right into the silver key so I cannot easily tell when it’s on, I have to look very closely at the key. • The speakers are FANTASTIC (Bang & Olufsen), the sound is really loud. Could never get the sound loud enough on my previous hp laptop. • The solid state drive (vs old hard drive) is so much faster, just as the salesman said. The computer is much quicker to start up, and to open files, and to shut down.

Keep in mind that most people write a review for a laptop from the first week of use to the first month of ownership, when there are few problems. This laptop deleted all of my final exam work within the first 3 months. It shut off while updating itself and then erased the entire hard drive. I recorded the blue screen deletion cycle on my phone to show my professors. I had paid for a warranty that would not be honored because it was "Black Friday" and the customer service rep said they needed the squad to promote for them. I couldn't wait because I had a final presentation that was due. I had to ask around for a free copy of Microsoft Office since it deleted my school's complimentary copy. It updates for long periods of time for no reason, and during essential times, like studying for midterms. Changing the times doesn't work. The hinge started to detach within 6 months. Year 2: Google the hinges, apparently they are kept on with just one screw per hinge. The screen comes apart from the hinge and laptop will not close completely. The battery will not stay charged, Best Buy does not stock the battery. I can't find a reliable seller of an authentic HP battery. The laptop has to stay on a charger but still shuts off in the middle of my work. Year 3: display is completely detached and makes snapping sounds if I adjust it. I often use it with clamps attached because I can't be bothered to take it apart and waste anymore energy on it. Battery spontaneously discharges when plugged in. Often shuts off incompletely during writing and microsoft word has to recover files. This is the worst laptop I've ever owned. It started self-destructing before I even paid it off and the warranty was useless.

Wow...what a nice turnaround from the higher-end computers I tried before. Things on this machine are just simple, and they work. No hours spent updating drivers and on tech support, etc. I'm pointing at you Lenovo!!! I love many things about this computer, including the crazy amount of ports (3 USBs!); the massive screen (no problem for splitting windows!); the battery life (really surprisingly good); and, so far, the performance, which blows away the previous Lenovo I had, which cost $700 more and had a "better" processor. This computer is faster and can handle more tabs/videos/programs well. Sure, the display and the speakers are not the best of the best. You can see some pixelation if you look close enough. It's not 4k. And the speakers maybe are a bit quiet. But who the heck uses laptop speakers when they want to plaay high quality sound anyway? In short...they do the job. And the pros of this laptop far outweigh the benefits. I am extremely impressed and happy with this purchase.

I had a dream list and this one met everything I wanted. However the silver keyboard and the lettering are so light that I cannot see them. Keyboard sticky keys might mess up the screen so it has to go back. Not happy about that. Not good to ever make lettering that light.

Unfortunately, I didn’t purchase mine at Best Buy... saw the price and was totally out of budget, I said I can do better. Bought mine used from eBay, for 200 less. I had to buy a new laptop due to my led screen panel broke, and the part is discontinued at hp, I could repair it with Best Buy’s geek squad, estimated price was 330 to repair. Price could fluctuate greatly for labor and repair. Not worth it!

So far so good. The only issue that I have so far is that evidently no one at HP ever actually put it on their lap. When the computer is open, the lid creates a ridge that makes a dent in my leg. Very uncomfortable and now I have to figure out where my laptop table got packed in the move.
