Bad Touch Pad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this unit home for less than 24 hours and now it's going back. The lower right side and middle of the touch pad is curled up and sticking up past the body surface that the touch pad is recessed in to. I pressed it back down several times and after a few minutes it pops back up. I've owned and used many different brands of laptops both personal and business for almost 20 years, I've never seen one do this. Very disappointed, I've been looking and researching new laptops for weeks and then this happens. You would think that $1100.00 plus the extras that I purchased would get a nice unit. My search will continue.

Poorly designed hinge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After only 1 year of use the laptop is separating into two pieces around the hinge area. Soon I'll have two separate pieces -- one with the display and the other with the keyboard AND THAT'S NOT BY DESIGN. This laptop is poorly constructed. I would NOT recommend OR buy again. I'm already shopping for a new laptop and I've only had this one for a year. Wasted my money. Stay away from this.

Worst $$$$ Laptop Ever

Purchased in July 2019 and needed tech support by October 2019 because it suddenly didn't recognize the hard drive. The issue was eventually fixed but several times afterward I had to use the "fix" I was given to get it to work properly again. Now in February 2022, because of a standard Windows update, it can no longer find the Operating System. Went through two techs and two attempts at fixes and it still didn't work. Now they want me to ship it to them to fix, with no guarantee it'll work and possibly lose all my information and files on it. Will never purchase HP again.

HP ENVY 17.3" EXCELLENT CERTIFIED OPEN BOX

When I was programing my new HP Envy it ran out of disc space. Best buy geek squad couldn't help me as the wrong ram/hardware was in my laptop. They told me it was sold out so I unfortunately had to return it. I honestly did not get the chance to like my new laptop. I hope no one else has to go through this. I'm still upset, hopefully my new Alienware doesn't let me down.
