The SSD is worth every bit of the money. But this laptop is excellent. I have a one year older version and it's still excellent. This is easy to set up, update, and use. It's FAST! Definitely worth the money. One note: This is a BIG laptop. When I put it on my bare legs in shorts, the monitor digs into my legs a bit (note in the picture how it opens, on the bottom of the screen). It's not too bad, but give it a try before you commit.

It is just simply an outstanding laptop powerful great display Great keyboard plenty of processing power at $999 I can't ask for anymore thank you Best buy. And while I know most new laptops do not come with the DVD player I enjoy the fact that this has DVD read/write . And I must tell you the Harman kardon speakers are monks the best for a laptop.

Great laptop with a large vivid screen. An I7 Intel processor and 12 Gigs of ram with a SSD harddrive make for a fast quick machine. It is used as a business computer connected both wireless and by ethernet. So far the unit has worked flawlessly. We updated the OS to Windows 10 Pro for a small fee to be able to gain added benefits. No complaints about the unit. Looks like it will be a great investment for several years to come.

I just bought this laptop today. I have been eyeing this for a few months, glad that the price went down and took the opportunity to purchase it. I like the look and specs of the laptop. And it is touch screen laptop. I believe that this is a good laptop to work from home. It would be nice if screen was detached, so that I can use that as a tablet. But I'm okay with what I have purchased. Plus I got the Office 365 Personal, and one year warranty. What a bundle. Good thing I'm financing all of these things.

Graphics and sound are excellent, and it is fast fast fast.

Our laptop is the best we’ve ever owned by far! It is very easy to navigate and the touch screen is a wonderful feature. This laptop can do it all, video and photo editing. Our nieces and nephews love playing their fun games on Uncle Andy's and Aunt Beth’s computer! The HD webcam is perfect for video chatting with friends and family!

Purchased this laptop to replace a previous HP laptop computer that was 10 years old. I've been highly satisfied with my purchase - fast processing, touch screen, built-it disk drive (this was one of my requirements and this computer was one of the few to have it.), ability to turn camera off, plenty memory, larger screen size, long battery life..... excellent machine!

My 17" HP Laptop crashed. I had to have a new one immediately. I went to Best Buy, where they had exactly the HP laptop that I needed, with a 17" screen. (I don't need it to be portable, so I want the large size.) This is perfect for my needs, and it has much better sound quality than my old HP laptop.

I’ve had this computer for a couple of months. The touch screen is super easy to use (I love the touch screen). This computer has plenty of Storage, and a great processor to use as a work computer! I routinely have 10-12 browsers and applications open without an issue! Did I mention the touch screen has changed how I expect to use computers for the distant future!

I love the larger screen. Speed has been good and have had no issues so far. Touch screen is a plus. The colors are vivid and I am looking forward to watching movies on it when traveling. Only thing I wish it had was the ability to fold it back as a tablet, but I knew that was not a feature prior to purchasing. It has most everything I need and then some.
