Been hanging on to my Windows 7 laptop because I didn't like Windows 8. The store rep told me the Windows 10 version was an easier transition from Windows 7. He was right! I was up and running easily. The Envy is fast, has a sturdy feel, and lighted keyboard. Couldn't ask for more. Geek Squad was amazing...I had tons of questions.They took the time to address all my concerns and didn't make me feel rushed. The Envy was a great purchase!

It has everything needed for power and performance in every setting: business, research, pleasure, etc. The graphics and interface are superb. The lighted keys are a real ease of use plus. It would be five stars but it is big and heavy. But this was a trade off of choice to get an on board optical drive.

Been using this laptop for a few weeks now and love it. It was a little laggy when I first started it for some reason but it ran smoothly after. I run Autodesk programs like 3Ds Max and Revit really smoothly and also great for games. Can get around 35 - 40 FPS playing GTA V at medium quality. Great all around!

After doing extensive comparisons at half a dozen Best Buy stores over the past two weeks, I bought this laptop. No sooner did I start it up then I realized I was going to have to return it. As soon as the boot up process reaches a black screen there is massive backlight bleeding in all around the edges. I tested it full screen with YouTube videos as well as a DVD and verified that the display is incapable of showing a pure black screen without all sorts of light seeping in from the edges. This is a major quality control failure, which now turns into a hassle as I have to go back to the store and try and get my money back unless I can find an acceptable alternative.

Love the large screen. Very efficient and fast. Easy to use. Love the ease of use very intuitive. Only drawback is that it doesn’t fit in standard laptop bag. Needed larger bag. Not much to choose from. Also heavier than I thought. Plus is that it still has a cd rom.

Can't do without it. Chunky, but portable if need be. Fast enough. I wanted the BIG SCREEN so I could watch DVDs on it. Got it upgraded last year. Never had a problem. Love the TOUCH SCREEN.

Hadn't used it enough to know much more about it, but so far I like what I see. Only problem is, it is a little slow upon startup. Good internet speed. It hadn't had any reviews when I purchased it because it had just come out. But so far I'm satisfied with it.

This is a great computer for the price. It’s really fast and handle multiple tasks at once. The only downside about it is that it’s really heavy. I probably would get a smaller lighter one to carry in a backpack.

Only just started using this laptop. Love the screen size and speed but I'm still getting used to Windows 10. Have yet to see how it handles power programs like tv paint or harmony. Will try doing an update review after I have used it for a while.

I looked for a desktop and could not find one to make with the advanced specs I wanted and needed. This laptop had the majority of the specs I was looking for. It is fast and powerful. I do have a hard time with the keyboard as I am used to a regular keyboard.

I was always a Mac guy but decided to try to get the most bang for my buck. This was my first PC purchase and I’m very satisfied so far. There were some growing pains at first making the switch, but now I’m so happy I did. I’m a video editor and motion graphics designer so I needed something beefy and fast enough to handle 4K workloads and intense graphics. This machine handles every task I throw at it without a hiccup. Projects that used to take minutes to load now take seconds, and the 17” monitor is great for expanding my workspace. Carrying it around is quite cumbersome, as it isn’t very compact, but I’d rather have the extra power and larger screen so it doesn’t bother me as much as it still fits in a large backpack.
