Performs well but the cheap plastic screen hinge broke within a few months of normal, gentle use AND COULD NOT BE REPAIRED!!

I bought this as a deal of the day thinking I got a good buy. It turns out, the laptop battery would not calibrate, so I then search the web and found that HP has had battery issues for the past couple years. I will not buy another HP due to this. The laptop was returned and I ordered a Dell. Hopefully I'll have better luck. Stay away from HP till they fix their battery issues. I did really like it but the battery issue cause me to return it

Display is poor

Display is not good. Unevenly lit and the bright areas move when you move the computer. Looks like a hologram when you change your viewing angle. Headache city. Not usable for me.

After purchasing and setting up this laptop I found out that it is really a nearly 3 year old laptop thus not having the latest in hardware. HP doesn't support the laptop with software and driver updates since it is so old. For the price I expect the latest hardware.

Looks nice but first it did an update and wouldn’t connect to my Wi-Fi. Had to do a whole reset. Now the sound doesn’t work out of no where. Super annoyed.

Very poor viewing angles! I noticed this too late to return this laptop because it was a gift to my mother.
The sureview privacy feature is total garbage and is the cause of this issue. Even when it's turned off, you cannot have a full proper view of the screen. There's always a light to dark gradient no matter where you look, even straight center.
It's a shame because I know the screen is IPS.

It's been glitchy. Often freezing up. Maybe returning or exchanging.

This laptop has everything I need. I searched for an affordable laptop with a backlit keyboard without a number pad. It was not an easy find. This has both of my requirements. Affordable and backlit keyboard. I'm happy/

Worst purchase of my life

Worst product I have ever purchased in my life. Complete waste of money. Less than 2 months into having it and it won’t connect to the internet. Have spent over 7 hours on the phone with “tech agents” who are unable to fix it. After 7 days of no access to internet I am not required to wait for a box to arrive to ship the laptop out tomorrow and won’t receive it back for another 9 business days. They refuse to just send me a new laptop rather than further inconveniencing me. HP obviously doesn’t care about their customers. Will never again buy an item from them.

Satisfied, w/ a little buyer's remorse on the side

In August, I purchased the HP Envyx360 to use for school. It is excellent- no complaints. I do have buyer's remorse only because I wish I would have looked into the Microsoft Pro-Surface devices they would be easier to travel with (work computer and school computer), and though this device can become a tablet- it is kind of awkward to write on. As I get further into my Ph.D. program- I would like to have a mobile device than my HP laptop. I think one of the Microsoft Pro Surface devices would have been a better choice overall.

Faulty Webcam or Connection

We loved this laptop until the webcam went out.
Sent it to HP for service and they reformatted the system.
They made no hardware repairs.
Not recommended.
I won't be buying another HP.
