    This is the perfect machine for doing office based work. Spreadsheets, word documents and surfing the web for research is in its prime efficiency zone. Works like a charm, started up easily. Don’t get this if you want to do gaming. It’s compact and relatively light, the display is a little small unless you have a monitor to hook up

    The laptop was on a great sale, so much so, that I was able to take out the Geek Squad 2 year install/service option. They did an excellent job updating the firmware, setting up the laptop with my old files and updated software. However, two weeks later the laptop had a catastrophic Windows error. Could not boot let alone get to a restore point. Took it back to Best Buy and the Geek Squad put the PC back as it was before. So I was happy with the service, but no so much with the laptop and windows. Will have to wait and see if that was a fluke or there is something deeper with the laptop. So, 5 stars for Geek Squad, 3 for the laptop.

    Amd did a great job with the ryzen 5 cpu. Very fast, efficient (8hr battery life) but on hp’s end its garbage. Full of defects. Built like crap. I would not recommend this laptop at all. Worst of all is the system is overall glicthy and unreliable. Bluescreens are very common on this laptop. 2-10 for me
