Poor Customer Service
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My complaint isn't about the computer, it's about Best Buy itself. I purchased this computer on a Black Friday sale and was supposed to come with a set of HP ear buds. I ordered it on-line and was promised I'd get the ear buds...I never did. I contacted the on-line help and they said since I picked it up from a store (even though they're the ones who invoiced the order) that I'd have to go to the store to get the ear buds. The store said since it was an on-line order that the on-line folks would have to provide the ear buds. Endless loop with full documentation what the on-line reps told/promised with no resolution. Best Buy customer service SUCKS. I'll be hard pressed to purchase from Best Buy again unless I get everything promised in hand first.

Train your employees better
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The purchase process was seamless. The employee who helped us with the purchase was amazing. The rating is for the pick up process. The pick up process was a major hiccup. My nephew was named as a valid pick up person since the laptop was purchased for him. I made sure that he would be able to pick it up when it was ready. So when he went to pick it up, he was denied the pick up and was flustered over it because he needed it for school. Only if the person had checked to see if he was listed as a valid pick up person, this could’ve all been avoided. He had to call me and I had to clarify to the employee that he is listed and to check. That’s when I told my nephew to go back in. And guess what? He was on the list to pick up the laptop. I was at work when this all happened so I had to interrupt my work day to deal with this issue. Please train your employees better.

It’s ok.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s ok. It doesn’t run much better than my teenager’s $250 laptop and windows 11 is the absolute worst. I tried installing windows 10 and couldnt find drivers for a bunch of things like the touch pad so I had to put windows 11 back on it.

Sub optimal Performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We haven't had PC in a long. After doing extensive research we bought the preferred Intel processor. One of the expectations was better performance which seems to be sub optimal.

Waste of money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have ordered this item and it was damaged when I opened the item. Best Buy didn’t accept the return and didn’t refund the money. This is a complete waste of money. Never had an issue on the returns with best buy before. Will never order anything from Best Buy as it’s a complete waste of time money

Bad commitments
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Customer service committed to provide Voyager free ear buds which was mentioned in the deal but they refused later on. This is worst ever experience I had. Not even gift card in lieu of ear bud was given. I spoke to them for more than an hour but no luck. It was waste of my time.

Mac people don't try to convert to a PC
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.* This review is only for those who are MAC/APPLE users * Don't forget PC are full of viruses (protection cost extra). * I can't return it * I purchased the extended care * HP & Best Buy will not return it. * You are better off not trying to save a little money because now I have a $600 paperweight. I'm a Mac person who tried to change to HP. I can not for the life of me understand computer.

Review after 1-year of use.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the 1TB, 16GB model of this laptop last year, although the exact model number I have is not available at Best Buy anymore (14-es0033dx). This laptop feels good to type on and has a gorgeous screen. The touchscreen is good, the battery life is good, the 2-in-1 hinges are solid and durable, the I/O on the sides are more than adequate for most users, and the sleek and professional look makes the laptop feel more premium than it is. However, this laptop is not what I would call premium. The overall speed/performance capability of this laptop is becoming more and more of an annoyance to me as this laptop lags when even opening up Google Chrome. Although Google Chrome is notorious for its memory usage, opening one tab should not cause my screen to freeze. This laptop also noticeably stutters when scrolling through emails in Outlook, taking notes in OneNote, navigating a YouTube page, and other areas. I have factory reset my computer once in an attempt to fix any software bloat issues and start with a clean slate, however the performance is still unimpressive. The overall build quality of this is "good", however there is a noticeable deck flex when this laptop is not placed on a solid, flat surface. This is a serious problem because the flex causes the trackpad to input randomly on the screen, which is EXTREMELY frustrating when typing in documents (or anywhere else for that matter). There have been countless times where I am typing something with the laptop on my lap and my words end up somewhere randomly in my document due to the cursor receiving an input from flexing the trackpad. This alone is so frustrating in everyday usage that its knocking my review down an entire star. Not only that, but this laptop has a tendency to run hot even when the most menial task is being performed. Part of me thinks that maybe the performance of this laptop is hindered by thermal throttling. I think this laptop is only worth getting if its on sale or if you can get another sort of deal. I can't speak for the newer models, as this one is a year old at this point, but I will be switching to another brand in the near future.

Battery drains fast
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am using it for 10-15 days. Battery life is pathetic. It drains in two hours or so when doing some normal work. Tried with battery saver option but still no luck. Will contact Best Buy and HP on it.
