I got this laptop because online it appeared to have everything I needed, but the first one I received the screen was flickering, I exchanged it and with this laptop the fingerprint button isn't in correct alignment so it has a hard time reading my fingerprint, I also noticed this laptop feels a bit cheap as far as the construction of it and now the bottom of my screen flickers when trying to use Windows search. The reviews of this laptop made it sound so appealing and a good bang for the buck, but now just 2 weeks after getting this laptop I have to try to go through HP for tech support on a 2 week old laptop. some serious BULL CRAP! Best Buy customer service didn't help when I returned the first one and the employee couldn't even answer my questions because she didn't know much about laptops, so I just exchanged the other and now I'm stuck with this one. If you need good battery life DON'T get this one as the specs say 12 hours for some models, you may only get 5 to 6 hours, and why even say "varies with some models" so the battery life varies depending on the models WHAT TYPE OF CRAP IS THAT!!! The only thing good on this laptop is the display and even that is reaching, but it is decent, no issues there.

This computer is trash! And HP is trash! My keys started popping off and I contacted HP for a repair. They advised me it was still under warranty and to mail it in. I mailed in my laptop and after a month later, HP tells me it is no longer under warranty and they are sending it back non repairable. They’re also saying there is a bad battery and fan but since it’s out of warranty there is nothing they can do and will not replace it. I cannot use a mouse or keyboard or any external component and the laptop is useless and not even a year old. The repair is more than I paid. They told me I could pay $20.00 a month to BORROW one of their computers. I have escalated it several times and rec’d no help. Beware!! They even tried to say Best Buy sold me a bad computer they fixed and sold. This was purchased brand new! The manufacturer’s warranty covers NOTHING! They would let my computer catch fire and burn my house down before helping. The worst customer service experience I’ve ever had! We use HP for our company and constantly have to send computers back due to overheating. Junk!

Stopped working 15 months later. I’ve used this computer for school and one day it just stopped working charged up and still not turning on.

Purchased 2/18/24. Seemed ok in the beginning. No major issues with touchscreen or folding of device to use as a notebook or iPad. 5/27/24 laptop stoped working. Geek squad stated that when turned to the side or held incorrectly the battery shifts. (Odd considering the battery was designed to stay in place). 7/22/24 laptop stopped working for the second time. (Geek squad added yellow tape to cover the cable that feeds power to the battery). 7/24/24 laptop stopped working for a third time. HP support and Best Buy warranty were not any help. Traveled to nearest location and I spoke with the store manager. An exchange was completed after I shared my concerns and because the I5 model is no longer carried in store and I didn’t want to pay an extra $100 to purchase HP I7, I moved forward with ordered. I was told by Best Buy delivery date would be 7/25/24. It’s 7/31/24 and the tracking says to (Standby as a new delivery date will be sent to me). Beyond unhappy with the overall customer service and the laptop is being delivered from New York. They couldn’t find one at another location in California?

I bought this laptop on Aug/2023, now with the Windows 11 update there is no driver for the camera, my camera is not working error message: 0xA00F4244<NoCamerasAreAttached>. I spent over 4 hours with customer service at Microsoft and there is nothing they can do. Be aware!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share my thoughts on the HP laptop I bought 6 months ago. I have to say, I'm really impressed with its performance and reliability. in 2017, I purchased the HP SPECTRE for work. This was a sleek, thin and solid feeling touch screen PC. It worked great, until it didn't, but mostly just needed more memory. I invested in a larger 1TB solid state drive and all was well. I was so impressed, that when the need for another laptop came, I went to the HP line. The SPECTRE was somewhat premium at about $1100-$1200 at the time. This time I purchased this HP ENVY. This retails at $850, but I purchased on sale here at BB for $550. Pros: Great feel to the keyboard and great layout of the leys themselves. Keyboard is backlit also and buttons and action keys are placed very nicely. The look of it is also quite sophisticated. The screen looks great and colors look very good. Touch screen is also responsive. Cons: I HATE HATE HATE the charging cable! What the heck ... why does this unit - which is BTW THICKER than the SPECTRE - have to come with a connector plug from equipment made in the 1980s!? Really!? The SPECTRE came with a simple USBC cable for charging, and that is GREAT. Lugging this thing around is completely dumb and just about made me return the dang thing. This has a USBC port, but charging is like SUUUUPER slow, if at all. This thing is also thicker, as noted, and weighs more than the SPECTRE ... something I can overlook ... but NOT that charging cable garbage. That's my shpeel. I would recommend it still .. the battery life seems good, presently and the i5 processor seems more than sufficient. Get Some.

This is a nice laptop. The look and feel are nice and it has really nice features. The size/footprint is small so it is portable. The touch screen monitor also functions as a tablet and has good resolution quality. It is a good value. The only downside is memory at 8GB. vs. other HP Envy models that are equipped with 16 GB; however speed and performance are more than adequate to run MS Office, surf the web and do everything you need. I would recommend this product along with Best Buy Total Tech Support , which is very helpful especially since it offers in-home service and support, migrating data from your old laptop, and pairing with pairing with your wireless printer. Total peace of mind.

I'm a "simple laptop" user. I don't need anything for gaming or anything complex. This is light, was incredibly easy to set up, and have been extremely happy with the speed and capacity. Love the touchscreen and battery life has exceeded expectations.

Great laptop! The speed is good. It certainly has enough storage space. The pixels are quite clear. Speaker volume level is pretty decent. Most of the time, I keep forgetting that it can be folded like a tablet and that it's touch screen too. If you have to travel with it, it's not too heavy either. Definitely worth it.

The best laptop ever. Perfect size, not super small but not big. Not too thick, and not extremely thin. The perfect shape and thinness. It runs smooth & a very great laptop! It was worth my $! I used to have to keep my old laptop on the charger or it wouldn't work. It felt so good using my HP on the couch without worrying about a charger, literally have 10+ hours of battery life! (I don't use it all day everyday tho YET so I went about 2 days without charging it). And the camera quality for a NON apple laptop is AMAZING.

I already owned this notebook's 'big brother,' but it was the 17" model and too big to travel with. The 14" model is idea. it's the 'Goldilocks' model, i.e., not too big, no too small.... It performs exactly as I'd hoped and have had zero issues with it. If asked, I would tell anyone it's a safe and confidence instilling notebook. And the price---I got it on sale---makes it an even better purchase. Not much more to say beyond, 'I'm a very satisfied customer---and owner--- of this nearly perfectly computer. The only thing that would make me happier is winning that $500 BestBuy gift card. I'll keep you posted!
