Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the Envy 2-in-1 laptop's performance, ease of use, and lightweight design. Many appreciate the touch screen, long battery life, and ample storage. The compact size is also frequently praised. While some users noted the laptop can get warm during extended use and the fan can be noisy at times, these issues appear to be less prevalent than positive feedback.

This 2-in-1 laptop impresses with its powerful performance, seamless transition between laptop and tablet modes, and a responsive touchscreen. However, a minor drawback is the inability to unlock the device in tablet mode, requiring a switch back to the laptop mode for unlocking. Despite this, the laptop remains a solid choice for those prioritizing performance and versatility.

This computer has the speed and storage for any user, not looking for gaming attributes. I have had HP computers for a long time, and I am very pleased with their performance and durability. I highly recommend this computer for anyone looking for a medium speed processor and tons of storage.

This is our second HP Pavillion laptop. The first is still going strong after daily use for 4.5 years. The only problem is some of the keys have worn their label off and the battery is in need of replacement. We were looking for a laptop for our daughter to take to college. She wanted a smaller laptop. She liked the touch-screen and ability to fold to a tablet that our old HP did. Thank goodness the on/off button is no longer on the left, front like it was in our older model. This laptop has the speed and storage she was hoping for.

This laptop is perfect for what I needed it for. I love the touch screen!! It's very sleek and light weight. Only negative thing i'd say is that the battery life is not so great but I always have the plug on hand.

Slim, light weight and features are best for Engineering student. I was looking for a laptop for my son who is freshman in BU. I have found 2 laptop with the same features and this one is cheaper than dell but has the same performance. It looks stylish too and worth the money.

A great improvement over my past device! I replaced an almost 7 year old computer with this one. They keyboard layout is better, keystrokes smoother and the device is well built and sturdy feeling. All that coupled with strong performance. It met all my needs. It was easy to transfer information and set up operation successfully. I’m very satisfied with my purchase. 10/10. I was able to use it to edit videos without any issues. No cons so far and I’ve had it for a couple months now.

After getting it it seemed fine at first until i started to notice it getting hot. At first it didn’t bother me but i kind of fear it is going to mess up somethings even though there is a fan in it. As for the rest if the things it’s storage and ram is good but if it weren’t overheatting it would have been an extremely good laptop.

This is my first laptop, and I really like it. The touchscreen is helpful even though the keyboard is a nice size. I had a much older computer, and this laptop seems so much faster. My grandson helped me set it up and I particularly like the fingerprint security.

    persistent overheating issues

I recently purchased a new HP Envy 2in1 laptop with high hopes of a reliable and efficient computing experience. Unfortunately, my experience with this device has been far from satisfactory due to its persistent overheating issues and the intrusive loud fan noise. Here's my detailed review: First and foremost, the overheating problem is a major concern. Even during light usage, such as web browsing or document editing, the laptop's temperature quickly rises to uncomfortable levels. It's disappointing that the device struggles to maintain reasonable thermal management, as this greatly impacts its performance and longevity. The fan noise further compounds the issue. In an attempt to mitigate the overheating, the laptop's fan kicks into high gear, generating an exceptionally loud and distracting noise. This noise is not only bothersome during quiet environments but also becomes increasingly noticeable in louder surroundings, making it difficult to concentrate or enjoy multimedia content. It's worth mentioning that these problems are not isolated incidents, as several users have reported similar issues with various HP laptop models. While occasional fan noise is expected during demanding tasks, the excessive noise and constant fan operation seem to be inherent flaws in the design or cooling system of these laptops. Regrettably, attempts to address these issues through software adjustments or updates have yielded minimal improvement. The laptop's thermal performance remains subpar, and the fan noise persists. Moreover, extended usage sessions or running resource-intensive applications aggravate the overheating problem, making the laptop uncomfortable to use for extended periods. On a positive note, the HP laptop does possess some commendable features. Its overall performance, when not hampered by overheating, is decent, allowing for smooth multitasking and general productivity. Additionally, the build quality and design aesthetics of the laptop are satisfactory, giving it a premium look and feel. However, given the glaring drawbacks of excessive heat and loud fan noise, it is difficult to overlook these issues. The laptop's core functionality and user experience are significantly compromised, detracting from its potential and rendering it a disappointment. In conclusion, while the HP laptop may have its merits, its chronic overheating issues and accompanying loud fan noise severely hinder its usability and user experience. Until HP addresses these problems, it is difficult to recommend this particular model to prospective buyers, especially for individuals seeking a quiet and cool computing environment.

The HP Envy is honestly one of the most balanced laptops I’ve used. The screen looks great, it runs fast, and it doesn’t freeze even with multiple tabs open. Build quality feels premium too. Just know it’s not the lightest laptop and the battery could be better. But for the price, it performs like a higher-end machine. Definitely happy with it.
