Portable, efficient, & a little extra.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Speed is sufficient, but i don't use it for anything that really tests it's limits. Storage (1TB) seems like plenty, but i don't store videos or raw photos, just every day use. The pre-installed apps or programs are a good startimg point, but you'll need to customize it out of pocket. Battery life is less than 8 hours, but I need to customize it to be more efficient. While the battery doesn't seem long to me, if I shut it down while not in use I have longer use time. Due the the speedy startup, shutting it down multiple times isn't overly inconvenient. The 2-in-1 touch screen is very good. It does not come with a pen, but i havent found a reasom to need a pen at this point. The computer flips right over and can stand on it's own for movies or power point slides. Speakers work well depending on what you open and use them for. Bluetooth works well, so that might be an option when using poor quality audio from other sources. Hotspot & wifi available to stay connected. It disconnects each time the computer is shut down and takes like 30 seconds to reconnect after startup. The size is just right to carry, but still enough to use without making my hamds uncomfortable when typing. There isnt a number keypad on the 14", so you'll need to use a peripheral if you need to number pad that normally comes with the larger laptop. Charging is normal speed. Peripherals are there to connect to SS USB(×3) and Type-C. Screen resolution seems to be good for everything I've used it for(movies, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram). Screen size(14") is perfect as it has a small edge so you'll get a full view from at least 10 ft or more. But not too large that you can't watch it on a flight. Overall I give it a 4.6/5 because of the battery life. I expected more, but I'm not necessarily disappointed & it could be improved with some power saving options and things I am in control of. I would recommend this laptop to my friends.

||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this to replace my old laptop. This one is really light, fast, and easy to use! I love that it has a touchscreen and an option to use your fingerprint to sign in. I played the sims on it when I wasn’t using it for Microsoft office and doing school things. Didn’t glitch one time

A bit heavy/gets hot but not bad overall
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There wasn't anything wrong with the laptop per se. Processing speed was great, it was on sale at the time I bought it so around $820 for 1 TB of storage, which was a good deal, plus the latest 13th gen i7 processor, I also liked the 2 in 1 feature. Screen display was great, touch screen and touch pad were responsive, and it was compatible with my Surface Slim Pen 2 (stylus pen), which was nice. My main complaints were that it would get oddly hot and the fan would be running even despite normal or even minimal usage (just having a chrome tab or two open). It was never slow and the i7 processing chip was quite fast, but the heat was an issue I had with an old laptop and I wanted to avoid that if possible. The other thing that surprised me about this little laptop was the weight. I want to say it comes in around 4lbs, give or take, which for a 14" laptop, felt a bit on the heavy side. I used to have another HP 15.6" laptop that was the same weight, if not slightly lighter (although it wasn't a touch screen nor a 2 in 1 design). Since I'm a student, portability is important to me. It wasn't THAT heavy, but comparatively, it could've been better. I ended up exchanging the Envy for a Lenovo Yoga 14", which, for a similar price and 2 in 1 design, was much lighter and also had a better processing chip (i7 Evo rather than just i7), although that was also on sale at the time. The other thing that felt odd for me was watching movies in tablet or tent mode. The speakers are on the bottom of the laptop, so if the laptop is folded, the speakers get a bit muffled. Not a huge issue for me since I don't typically watch movies on my laptop like that, but seems like an odd design flaw. Overall, it wasn't a bad laptop at all, but didn't quite fit my needs.

Good laptop, internet connection issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is a good unit however I had to return it twice since it would not connect to my internet router at home. I returned the first unit because I thought it might be a hardware issue. The second laptop had the same issue. I believe that there's an issue with the hardware/software drivers for the wifi chip and my Xfinity router. The laptop itself was OK. I thought it was a bit sluggish in terms of response to clicks, etc. In general, it seems like a middle-of-the-road laptop.

Absolute Lifesaver
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was quite nervous at first about getting this laptop as it was smaller than my previous laptop and it was more expensive, however, it was the best decision I could have made. It works perfectly for College life and even with it being smaller it does a lot more work than my previous laptop. It loads fast and has good storage capacity for all my school files and papers. Great overall laptop!

Lightweight and performs well; has serious flaws
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old HP Envy died just as I was starting a master's program. I loved it and looked for a new one. This one's smaller than my old one, but I like how lightweight it is, and it fits easily on desks when I'm on campus. I'm not a gamer, so I can't comment intelligently on graphics quality (though I think it's adequate!), but I do listen to a lot of music. The sound is great if I have my earbuds in, but because the speaker is on the underside of the computer, the sound is soft if you're playing from the speakers. The battery also doesn't last very long; mine averages about 4 hours before I have to charge. It charges in around an hour. The computer gets pretty hot, and the fan can get loud. I like the keyboard, but the Delete key is a little wonky for me. I've had my computer about a year now, and the Delete key sometimes pops off if I hit it at the wrong angle. The Delete key is also located right next to the power button, and I'm always concerned that I'll accidentally turn off my computer while trying to delete something. The keys are plastic; this doesn't bother me, but it might bother other people. There are two levels of backlight for the keyboard, and the keyboard includes keys to access emojis and turn on and off the microphone. There's also a sliding cover for the camera. The hinges work well; I haven't had any issues with the laptop getting stuck or with the hinges breaking, but I also tend not to be hard on electronics. There are two USB-A ports on the right side. They're close enough that you can't always use both at the same time, depending on how large your USBs are (I can't plug two flash drives in at the same time, but I can plug in a Yubikey and a flash drive). There's also a micro-SD card slot on the right side; the laptop doesn't have a regular SD card reader. There's a USB-C port on the left side along with an HDMI port (which I always appreciate) and the headphone jack. I like the trackpad (it doesn't have mouse buttons, if you're looking for that) and the fingerprint scanner for sign-on. The computer suits my needs, but it's definitely not perfect. I hope HP can turn out a better model by the time this one dies.

HP AWESOME! MS...getting stingy
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The laptop is great! Small, lightweight, good screen size and tons of ram and storage. Unfortunately, MS no longer provides the basic word program (or anything else really) on a new laptop. You have to purchase everything as "add-on". I also very much miss Movie Maker! The photo editing that comes with Windows 11 doesn't even have red-eye, you have to download another "app" for that, and you have to download another "app" for doing basic slideshows with music, etc. So basically, I LOVE the HP laptop! But MS has become as bad as Apple when it comes to forcing you to download the programs you used to get included with a laptop purchase. Granted, most of the basic stuff is available for "free" but what used to be considered basic is now considered an upgrade or premium program, and that's not free. I use my laptop for photo editing - very basic, nothing fancy like photoshop- and making slideshows with music and sounds added in, plus occassionally email or watching a Prime video movie. That's not much really, especially considering all that most folks do with computers these days, so it would be nice to have the same things included in the nearly $900 I paid for the laptop. Again, it's not HP - I still love HP - it's MS not including what they used to include when you bought a laptop with their OS. It shouldn't have really surprised me, but it definitely was a frustration when I first fired up my new computer.

I love the overall look, goves a very premium feel usage and looks wise. The speed and storage is just so good, i transferred all the data from my old laptop (data of 10 years) and it still has space for more without affecting the overall speed during usage. Battery lasts for a great amount of time too. Would definitely recommend!

Great quality, performance & price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything I was looking for in a 2 & 1. Especially appreciate this model is lighter than most others. The few that compared in weight, could not compete in performance, speed, capacity or price. I am loving everything about this model. side note-for me being able to purchase MS365 directly from BB as well, for a significant savings, was a very helpful added bonus. I am extremely satisfied with this recent purchase.

Overall good laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall good package with all features for home, school and college use. Display and touch is really good. Pretty handy and lightweight. Camera could have been little better, but does its job well for zoom calls etc. Though speakers are loud I found there is zero bass effect. I felt at this price speakers should have little bass effect. But looking at i7 processor, 1TB SSD and 16GB ram and touch screen which helps in my day to day job, I did not pay much thought on camera and bass effect. Overall satisfied

Not the best
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to sell my old gaming laptop and new ipad because i wanted to get a 2 in 1 laptop that can function as both laptop and tablet mode as needed. Something lighter to carry from room to room. Its not great like a lenovo legion gaming laptop or ipad mini 6th gen, but its mutifunctional for my daily needs. Basic mmorg online gaming is fine, ive only had the game crash a few time in middle of play. My biggest pet peeve with this laptop so far is if j connect a printer ot scanner usb cord through a usb hub instead of directly into laptop usb, i start getting device usb hs unrecognizable. That issue made me thought the printer had gone bad and i needed a new one, but when i connected a new thumb drive to laptop it seem to reset or resolve usb unrecognizable error. Since its a 2 in 1 laptop, any apps available through Microsoft store is available to download like prime video, facebook and etc. i like the small size of 14” laptop, light weight, touch screen, touch id and its 2 in 1 function and most important of all it was purchase on sale for under $700. I would strongly recommend testing alm the laptop function within first 10 days of purchase so that if the laptop isnt a good fit for you needs you have fhe chance to return it within the return time frame.
