I'm not much of a computer guru but this machine is a beast. Right out of the box you immediately notice how stout it is and how stunning it is. I love the proprietary devices that come with it (mouse, keyboard and camera). They work right out of the box and I'm sure there won't be any issues with connectivity like you have with universal ones. The screen is beautiful and amazing once powered on. Didn't even know we had 5k yet for monitors!! As big as it is, it's very sleek and compact, small frame and footprint. Speaking of feet the base has a wireless charging pad that is FAST! I have charged my phones and apple remotes on it with zero issues. Having a small screen you would think the built in speakers would sound horrible and tinny, but they aren't have bad actually. So much so that I don't think I will be hooking up external speakers for this one. Watching movies has been a blast on this guy. No issues streaming or surfing the webs. All my office software and some small cad programs I use for construction work flawlessly. I put it through some mild gaming and saw no lag, did get a little hot though, but that's understandable. Plenty of USB and USB-C ports for all your devices and upgrades. Upgrade you memory and storage with just a pop of the back door. Set up is quick and easy once you get it out of all the awesome packaging. It's packaged very well and I will definitely keep it for moving in the future. I adjusted the setting to stay on all the time and downloaded some amazing backgrounds. It really is a stunning screen, very rich and detailed.

Just received this yesterday from Best Buy it had to be ordered was out of stock. I brought it home and was excited by the look and feel.. I Turn did on and set it up without receiving any errors so I thought everything was good.. I left had dinner came back and the 3FO error was on the screen. I turned the computer off and on 4 times and received the error every time. I contacted HP support but was unable to understand very much the tech was telling me he was reading from a script And wanted me to re install everything. I explained the computer was new and didn't need to have be reinstalled long story short, Boxing it up and taking it back it is definitely not ready for prime time.

This HP has been a very happy addition to our home. It looks great, adjusts easily, and came with everything we needed to make it super convenient. If you're in a similar situation to us and can afford the somewhat high price, it's worth it. To begin with, please keep in mind that we are not intensive gamers. We do some gaming, but nothing that's going to use intense graphics or need substantial processing power. What we do mostly is social media, video calls, and, right now, taxes (and other spreadsheet, word processor, etc stuff). I'm not sure that this computer couldn't handle things like that, the screen size sure makes it tempting to try, but it isn't something we normally do. Just keep it in mind. Out of the box, the setup was super easy. It's mostly one piece, the screen/computer. HUGE SCREEN! At work, I link together 2 or more screens to get that much of usable space. With this HP, it's all right there! I can work in 3 or more windows and still have desktop space to see my smiling dog in the background! This is super luxury and makes all the difference in the world when you're needing to work in multiple windows and multiple applications. Once you've experienced this, you won't ever want to go back! Back to unboxing. The unit is well protected in the box, once you take the ginormous computer/monitor out of the box, all you need to do is plug it in, put batteries in the included cordless mouse and keyboard, adjust the height of the monitor (so easily done), and turn it on. The keyboard and mouse are already synced up to the computer and work great. The keyboard, in particular, has a very pleasant click to its buttons. The webcam is magnetic, adjustable, and seems to work acceptably well. The rest is all connecting to your wireless network and following the same basic setup instructions that you need to follow whenever you start up a new computer. There are plenty of ports in the back of the monitor and also built into the stand, more than I suspect we'll ever need, but it's nice to know they're there. The screen is sharp, presenting graphics with excellent clarity. It's easy on the eyes. The whole thing is easy on the eyes. So far, we have only had one momentary issue with the HP Envy and it's an embarrassing one. Even with a combined 70 years of computer experience between us, it took a few minutes to figure out how to turn the thing on. It's a well hidden button. Not a big problem, but an embarrassing one. All in all, we are really happy. There have been no problems since we figured out how to turn it on. Family video calls are clear and pleasant, there is enough room to work comfortably and efficiently, and the convenience of an all-in-one unit really makes it a welcome addition to our home. If you can afford it, we would recommend it.

The is a really nice all in one system for what I use it for. Noted I don’t play a lot of games so can’t speak the that. Let start with the positives. Preloaded with windows 11, easy setup, minimalist styling, and the monitor is awesome. No the negative and what keep it from being a 5 star. The graphics card could be a bit better - I can see in a heavy game environment it could be taxed. The built is memory is woefully short. My configuration only cam with a 1 Tb M.2 ssd. While that fast and I on notice a small bit of lag the amount on space is short. It did come with 16gb of ram which is not bad but as cheap as it is more would have been better. All that being said the frost I did was to add more RAM and drive space. This upgrade process was fairly easy - the would assume it design to be so since almost everyone will at some point based on the standard config. To complete the there’s a panel that pops of on the back giving access the the 4 SODIMM slot and 2 M.2 slot adding the M.2 was pretty easy and straight forward (word from experience if you drop the little m.2 screw check the side of the monitor- it’s magnetic - that will save you an hour of look through the carpet). The RAM was not quite as easy as the second set of sockets is somewhat under the main house - just takes a little effort to get it lined up. Also I forgot to mention that it does come with a camera that is cable of using windows hello to login. Also there were some report that the base graphic would not run a second monitor. I was able to do so with a hp brand 27 in standard from factor - that being said windows 11 does some odd thing with the icons when you have two different resolutions. All in all its a really good system, if it had 2-4TB of storage it would be a 5 star product

Did all the updates. Installed MS Flight Simulator, ran like I was on a 1995 computer, was jerky, slow, awful. My son installed Fortnite, 4 FPS on average. The video card is not meant for gaming no matter what the ad says. Streaming was good, the screen is cool.

This new HP Envy all-in-one computer is now my favorite daily use computer! It’s fast, has a space saving design, for the size of the monitor, great sound and an extra large, bright, beautiful screen! The addition of the customized full HD camera really helps to make this a true multi-purpose computer that the whole family can enjoy. The Envy comes securely packaged in a heavy cardboard, HP Envy branded box. I actually had to receive two units, the original and a replacement after having a problem with the first computer. The replacement box came with two large holes in it, where you could actually see the computer inside. Luckily the foam inserts around the computer are made very well and worked to prevent any damage from happening to the computer or the box contents. I’ll first talk a bit about why I received a replacement unit. The first computer I received was defective because I couldn’t get the Qi wireless charging base to work for any wireless capable phones. I would plug the computer in, and the indicator light on the front would flash bright white then start blinking amber until it shut off. Occasionally my phone would find a connection but then the indicator light on the charging base would start blinking again until it went off. I tried updating the computers drivers, BIOS and a few other steps, with the guidance of HP customer support, and we were unsuccessful in resolving the issue. The computer was deemed defective and I sent it back. Although the problem solving, repackaging and waiting for FedEx to pick up did take many hours of my time, I will say that HP customer support is prompt, and courteous. They work to resolve the problem until they do or can’t, then they work with whatever options are available to you. The replacement unit was shipped and arrived quickly. Now, back to the Qi wireless charging base. For being such a cool feature of this computer you would think HP would give more information about it in the User Guide, but no, it is not mentioned once. I’ve searched every manual available for this computer on the HP website and the wireless charging base isn’t in any of them. The only reason I know that the indicator light on the front is actually an indication of the wireless charging base status, is because HP support linked me to a document about the wireless charging base of a different HP curved computer, which looks entirely different. How can this be ready for the public without any mention of how to use the base, warnings, precautions, etc? Is it safe to keep paper on the base? What if I have a sheet of paper on there and somebody puts a phone over that, which starts charging.. Is that safe? What if somebody puts a magnet on the base? What do the different lights indicate? Is there software for this that needs to be updated, or at least a UI that I can use to check the status? I have too many questions and no answers. Back to the computer. I love the screen. It’s big and looks great for everything I do. It glides up and down by a few inches and can tilt forward and backward. I have this computer on a strong lazy susan on the bar between my kitchen and dining room. It’s nice to be able to turn the computer to the kitchen, for use while cooking, then to the dining room, so we can watch some TV, the news or listen to music while eating dinner. The camera, though not the most high end, in terms of visual quality, does a sufficient job for zoom meetings and calls with family members and friends. If my husband and I want to call Mom to chat on Duo while we eat dinner, we can, and it’s super easy! I do love the innovative custom camera design that allows me to reposition it to multiple points along the edge of the monitor. The camera also tilts and rotates to reach every angle. The microphone quality is good and the speakers, Bang and Olufsen, sound really good, just not a whole lot of bass, which is expected. This computer is snappy. It turners on quickly and runs multiple programs/windows with ease. I’ve used it for gaming with Xbox Live, Steam, Battle.net and all the games I’ve played run smoothly while not having to sacrifice any graphics settings. Overall I have to say this is now my favorite daily-use computer. It’s so easy to hop on to watch a movie, do some shopping, check my work emails, or settle in for a night of immersive gaming. This computer works for the individual and an entire family and I highly recommend it to anyone.
