This Printer is good to great printer for the price!!!

This is not my first HP Printer. All of my pass ones have out performed. Easy to set up an maintain.

Relatively easy to set up, clear print job. Black and white print is quick, color takes a bit of time for larger jobs

I am very satisfied with this printer. It is fabulous.

I was looking for an inexpensive home printer which would not be expensive to maintain. The salesman was knowledgeable and helped me pick the best choice for my needs. He need not push an more expensive model. The cost for the replacement cartridges are now reasonable.

The 5055 is a fairly small desktop printer, It can crank out about 7 pages a minute depending on the quality setting. Setting up is very easy, first I downloaded the app and turned on the Printer. I followed about 4 steps (complete with video) and the printer was connected to my wireless, Setting up the printer on my PC and laptop was much easier after having used the phone app (I would suggest this) Accessing the link 123.hp.com put in your printer model and within a few clicks, you are good to go. When choosing the software to download, I would use the recommended or the bare minimum install. The software that comes with it is extremely watered down and not very powerful, it will get you going, but you may want to find an image manipulator and PDF creator. I sent a test print set on draft and the quality was exceptional, then I sent a picture and tried to use included software, which was not very user friendly. I was not able to crop or sharpen or get multiple shots to fit on a page (as I should have) but this is not a game stopper. The quality of the photo I printed on matte was again very exceptional. So much so we now have it framed. Scanning is fairly fast too and accurate as far as colors. Copy and print are just as good and very easy. Printing from the phone is a little harder for users, but is no harder than any other phone print software. You just have to find out how to get to the print screen and it prints instantly and accurately. Over all I am very pleased with all aspects of this printer. Ink is very affordable whether you purchase it at the store or get on the instant ink program (never run out of ink). This program can be set up initially when installing the printer. They have plans from free (15 pages a month) to $9.99 a month (300 pages a month). There are no commitments and you can change your plan at any time. On average they say it will save you up to 50% on ink costs. Not a bad deal. I would recommend this to family and friends (especially those who are not good at setting up computer peripherals)

Super easy to set up "install' and learn to operate. It is an invaluable tool to own that you don't know how much you need until you purchase one and discover the indispensable tasks and abilities it performs and possesses.

HP - ENVY 5055 All-in-One Instant Ink Ready Printer

Great all in one printer. Setup was very easy, you can do it via the Android or iOS app or using a computer. I used the android app to setup my printer on my network, then I used the utility downloaded from their website to setup my PC. All was easy and after setting network settings, the printer prints an alignment page, that you have to scan to align the heads and you're good to go. Printing is fast and only requires two cartridges (one black and one color), which is a plus, I had a canon printer before that required like 5 cartridges. You can sign up for HP's insta print service that sends you cartridges automatically when you're low, there is a free one tier, which I chose. Printing quality is great and prints fast, I also tried the scanner and it scans fast. In all, a great all in one for a home or small home office!

With school cancelled for the remainder of the year and my 6 year old son essentially becoming homeschooled overnight, a new printer was definitely a necessity. I’m a pretty tech savvy guy so I started my search and my requirements were being able to print school papers, Decent quality pictures on occasion, but most importantly, I wanted full connectivity with our smart phones. Once I got the printer home, I was mentally preparing myself to go through the generally annoying and frustrating process of setting up the printer and connecting it to wifi. To my pleasant surprise, all I had to do was download the HP Smart app. The app immediately found my printer through Bluetooth and from there it was a mainly just a few clicks on my phone. The app told me exactly what to do and when/how to install the inks, how to Print and scan the alignment test page, and as far as wifi was concerned, once I inputted my wifi password, the printer automatically connected itself. I installed the app on my wife’s phone and our iPad which was super simple. Now it is honestly the most simple process to print something. No matter where I am, at home, at work, at the park, and no matter what app I am using on my phone, email, photo gallery, safari, I simply pull up the options tab and click on the HP Smart icon and that page or picture or whatever it is, starts printing at my house. It’s almost too easy. I highly recommend this printer to anyone looking for an all inclusive printer/scanner with complete wireless/smart phone integration. Lastly, I was hesitant to start the Instank Ink subscription where you pay for a preset amount of pages printed every month and instead of buying ink cartridges, your printer tells HP when to send them to your house. The initial ink cartridges lasted about 2 weeks (lots of school work printed) but they seemed to run low pretty quick. I immediately signed up for the Instank Ink subscription and within 4 days, I had fresh cartridges delivered to my door. No more having to run to the store and trying to remember what number the cartridges were. It’s literally too easy. I hope this review helps anyone who finds themselves in the same boat I was in, wanting everything in a printer at a very reasonable price.

I got this to replace a very old printer and love the ease of install and the interface. Initially there are a lot of features to configure but once you get past that, it works fine. Print quality is great for paper. have not tried photos. the HP never ending ink feature is great. you get new ink for free when you run out. There is a limit on pages you can print for free per month (10 I think) and a very nominal charge for more. I never print anything so free ink and 10 pages a month.....pretty much I just pay for paper. looks great, pretty quiet when printing. integrates with Alexa, has a print from anywhere feature...like printing from your phone without emailing yourself or looking the same thing up on your computer. no cables needed.....wi-fi connection is easy set up.

I bought this for my home office to do small projects. For the price, it’s wonderful for that. I’ve owned five or six hand-me-down printers, but HP has been my long-standing choice for reliability. The AirPrint feature was my main deciding factor to purchase. It’s simple printer to set up and use. I like the Instant Ink program perks as well. It’s an affordable machine and service all-in-all. If you’re looking for something budget-friendly and reliable with some top-of-the-line/relevant features, I totally recommend this at the $60 price tag.

I love my printer it works perfectly for all of the needs that I have. I'm able to print out work for my kids at home and I'm able to print out work for my students at school..

This is my second Envy as I wore one out already. I like the ease of use and it prints in crisp black or color. I also like that it automatically prints on both sides of the paper. I have never had a paper jam or any problems with the Envy. It is quiet and easy to set-up on Wi-Fi. The ink is not expensive or you can chose to go the Instant Ink route also. I always include the protection package so if something does go wrong I can just exchange it. It also photocopies and scans.
