This is the exact opposite of everything I hated in the printer I bought from another brand. Live and learn; HP has always done well for me. Here’s what I love about the HP-ENVY 5005: • VERY easy to set up. 5 minutes, maybe 10 counting unboxing etc. • It prints reliably through AIRPLAY, so there is ONE STEP involved. • The print is clear; text easy to read, graphics seem good. I haven’t printed many pictures or graphics yet, though. * IT PRINTS TWO SIDED!! • The instant ink has tiers, and since. I don’t print much, sit costs a few dollars a month. WELL worth it. • The footprint is small, and it’s sleek (hidden paper tray, yay!) so it it fades into the space. . VERY happy with this purchase, and would recommend it to a friend. (Also, HP...I should not have strayed to another brand. They’re my favorite prints now, I think.

I couldn’t have made a better choice for a wireless printer. It’s an all in one that has so far worked without any problems. Just the right size for a small office, and easy to set up and use. Prints in color and black and white. Print quality is very good. Very happy with my decision.

Print, copy and scan. This compact machine does it all. Wireless so can place anywhere. Signed up for the ink replacement plan. Don't know if still available but never have to go buy ink again. Great value.

Great printer for its price point. More compact than my laser printer, but obviously not as fast. Totally love the wireless printing aspect. It is really easy to set up and use. I would recommend it for an everyday document printing usage.

I was able to use my phone to learn how set up the printer. It was easy to use, I can print from my phone and my computer. I love that it only has two ink cartridges. It is simple, good quality, and inexpensive.

I have two of these in my two home offices (I'm bi-coastal and live in both NY & CA) and have been very happy with this printer. It's a great basic printer/scanner and for the price you can't go wrong. If you're looking to print photos, this isn't a good choice as it's not designed for that. This is meant for every day printing and scanning. I also purchased this printer for my parents (who are in their 70's) and they love it, too. It was simple for them to set up, install, and connect to their WiFi. You can scan and print from your mobile device easily as well. Even my parents are able to do so and they're not the most tech savvy people. I'd recommend this printer to almost anyone.

I had an HP Photosmart All-in-one inkjet printer that developed problems. I bought this printer as a replacement and found it does everything my older printer did but just a little bit faster and better. The only negatives I have found are the absence of an owner's manual and the necessity to talk to HP to do things like connect the printer wirelessly to my wife's PC. (Still not accomplished.) I connected it to my iMac via a USB cable. Also different is the paper feed tray. It is out of sight, so I don't know if paper is getting low and I don't think it can handle legal size paper. My old printer could handle envelopes but I don't think this one can. It would be nice to have an owner's manual that would quickly answer those kind of questions. At first I didn't like the idea of purchasing my ink from HP, but their instant ink program solves a problem and offers ink at discount prices. In the past, I thought HP should give away free printers if you bought their ink at full price because the ink was so ridiculously expensive. I used to refill my own ink cartridges.

I'm really liking this printer. I bought it for my working from home situation during COVID-19, so it was a necessity buy. Best Buy came through quickly. It was a super quick set up, easy to do wireless and it prints wonderfully. My only complaints are that the paper try is a little hard to get in and out and doesn't hold a lot of paper (not a deal breaker) and it is a thirsty little booger when it comes to ink. I don't have it on a guzzler setting and I don't print excessively (sometimes not even once a day), but I'm using the instant ink that Best Buy offers and I'm already on my 2nd go round for black and I haven't had it more than a month.

Bought this HP all in one printer on sale. It prints well and being a wireless printer comes in handy. I can print from my phone, iPad or laptop with ease, whether I’m at home or away. The HP app for the phone is decent. But the best perk is the instant ink service. It will save you a ton of money from buying ink cartridges in store, which are pricey. I’m unsure about the other Monthly plans but I pay 2.99 a month with 5 months free. HP sends you ink cartridges directly to your door when the wireless printer detects the cartridges are almost empty. Great buy, great deal & overall satisfied.

This little printer is powerful. Prints double-sided and have not had any issues. Easy set up. Have utilized most features except fax. The wireless printing allows me to work from several rooms in the house. Due to the high volume of printing from working at home, it has held up quite well without any issues. It is also small enough to fit in many places. Inexpensive so I am looking at getting another one for upstairs.

I bought this printer because my old HP still worked but was well, old. So I bought this after reading reviews and I love it. It works well, was easy to set up and it is actually wireless. I couldn't get the old one to connect. It's also a more streamlined size. I've only had it a month or so and am still happy with it but I only use it for home and I only print once in a while and print photos. Ink is reasonable, which is another reason why I purchased this. So far, I would definitely recommend it.

We have owned many printers over the years. Some have been difficult to connect to the computer with wireless and others have been expensive to maintain with ink cartridges that were so expensive. The HP-Envy was easy to connect. The copies are nice and sharp. We are going to do the ink refill orders so that will be much less expensive than the buying so many ink cartridges. It seems to be a great little printer for what we need. It was also quite a nice price.

Finally had to replace my 7 yr old overworked HP printer. The HP Envy 5055 was my choice. The printer was easy to set up, compact and so much quieter than my old clunky one. I love the automatic double sided printing, no more printing one page and flipping the paper over! The ink cost is less than the old ones and I signed up for the Instant Ink program. You can opt out and just buy ink as you need it but I decided to give it a try. If you just want a fairly basic printer at a decent price this is it.

Disregard the negative reviews. Other than a tricky setup my printer works very well including the e-print feature. I ended up doing a manual setup due to issues with the initial process. I'm able to print from my laptop, phone and tablet. I can also email docs to the printer. The touch screen is easy to use and works well. New ink cartridges are automatically shipped when they run low. No work on your part. It's not a small toy. Nice size and good build. No bugs or issues so far. Just get it!

Amazing printer. Best bang for your buck especially if you sign up for their ink. This has saved our COVID home school experience. Not sure what we would have done without this printer during this time. It’s my first printer in almost 8 years so was blown away by how easy it was to set up through your phone and also scan images and control ink directly from your phone. Highly recommended and great value.
