This printer works great. It was very easy to set up and I had no problem connecting wirelessly to my computer. The print quality seems fine for my needs, however I really only print word documents and haven’t needed to print anything with color. I did have a little trouble getting the ink cartridge to go in but in all honesty that was most likely user error. This printer is exactly what I needed and its a great price.

I have the 5660 predecessor at home and thought this would be the same. It's a bit more basic in that the home screen is black/white no color and not as intuitive to operate. Also, the 5660 has a neat ejecting paper tray that pushes out automatically with all print jobs to catch printed docs. This version has a swing tray to do the same. It's not a big deal for my daughter who needs this for her dorm but if she's planning to print from another room, she'll have to remember to swing the paper tray out to catch the paper or have her print job fallen out of order on the floor. Again, she's in a dorm so space is at a premium so leaving the swing tray out leaves the possibility that it will be accidentally shoved or broken. Also, again because she's in a dorm, it would have been great to make this a wired printer as she's come home to someone else's print job on the floor but this printer does not have the option to connect to network with ethernet. All things we wish we'd known and may have gotten the 5660 or something else that would suit her living arrangements. Otherwise, the operation of it is fantastic, it prints quickly, accurately and the Hp Ink Refill program is incredibly convenient and worth the value.

I don't use a printer too often so I was looking for something that was just simple and affordable. This isn't anything too fancy but I think it was great for the price I paid. It isn't the most quiet printer but I don't mind. It scans as well! It takes two cartridges, one for black and white and one for color. Easy to set up if you're more on the tech savvy side.

We no longer have a land line so I did not need a printer with the fax function and this was only $50.00 plus I got 10% off for trading in my old printer which was an all in one with fax. I traded in because replacing the ink cartridges was so expensive and with this printer I was able to join the HP ink program which is very convenient and very low cost. I choose the $5.00 per month plan but I maybe could go even lower and you can change your plan at any time. They sent me replacement ink cartridges right away and I have not had to use them yet and I have had it for a month. You can store two months of any pages that you did not use the previously should you need extra in any given month or if you go over then you can pay a small extra fee. The setup was not as easy as it should have been and the tech was not a help but told me my computer was messed up. I was able to download the program myself and finally got it set up. Works with all my computers and phones wirelessly. Print quality is great and I love that I can print in color for the same price. Print speed is great as well. Awesome printer for the price. The one drawback is that there is no separate tray for photo paper, only the one tray that adjusts for any size. There is also no document feeder to copy large files but the copy and scanner work great. All in all it is a great product.

Set up was fairly easy, as you only need to add it your wifi network which makes it easy to print from any device connected to your wifi. A plus is that HP gives the printer it's own email address, so you or a friend can send prints to it from virtually anywhere in the world. I'm overly pleased I got this printer. It's a good functional printer which should meet the needs of most basic users.

I love this printer so much. My old pixma mg3022(?) Was so loud and bulky I hated that printer, and it took FORVER to print. This hp printer is fast, quiet and slim. Glad I was able to snag it on sale. The app also syncs really fast and sets up like a charge. You dont have to completely turn of the printer since it's got a sleep mode. I do reccomend.

I used to hate HP's printers. The last time I owned an HP printer was in the late 90s, where the build quality was just terrible. I switched to Epson, which I was happy with only until the last couple years where they just purposefully used up ink unnecessarily to get you to buy more ink. I finally got fed up and went to BB to find a 15% off New for old trade-in special. I came back with my old Epson dug out of the trash, got the coupon I purchased this printer. It is a lower-end all in one, but I didn't need bells and whistles; Just something smaller, simple (yet versatile), with wifi, and of course not ink-hungry. I am so far very content with no complaints. If you need something basic for small home office work, you really can't go wrong with this printer and HP's printer ink subscription service, which is alsi quite reasonable!

Once my old HP printer was giving me more headaches trying to connect both wireless & hard wired I knew it was time to retire it and buy a new one. I wanted to stick with HP for two reasons. 1) ease of use 2) the HP software was already installed in all our machines So after looking and comparing reviews I decided on the HP Envy series. This had a high rating & as this would mainly print reports and forms was the best way to go for my family. Let me tell you I was not disappointed. My previous HP printer lasted us 4 years so I know the HP quality was there. This generation is awesome as a lot of times we receive attachments in emails on our phones. We now print directly from our phones with such ease & choices allow us to use color or black & white. So document printing is a snap. Recently I received a photo I wanted to print out. I had some photo paper and normally I have a dedicated photo printer but decided to give the HP Envy a shot. Let’s just say WOW. Photo print quality was awesome and the fact we can see ink levels from our phone is an added bonus. Printing a photo on photo paper didn’t use as much ink as i thought. Overall I have been amazed at this generation of wireless printers.

This printer makes beautiful copies! My dissatisfaction is that it is advertised has including scanning. To be able to scan, you have to contact HP to have scanning software downloaded. If I had known about the scanning software issue, I would requested Best Buy download it for me before shipping it to me or purchase a different printer with scanning already installed. When I call HP, they are either closed or a long wait time. I have no idea if the additional software is an extra expense. I have a hearing impairment and telephone communication is a big issue even with a close caption phone. If you do not need scanning or you not mind dealing with this software issue; it is a great compact printer for personal use. I am disappointed that HP is not open on weekends. HP products have always been my first choice!

    HP 5055 printer

Well first off, it seems that HP's printers just quit working after 5-6 years. My old printer worked fine until one day i had to replace a cartridge and i guess the new cartridges may identify an old printer & just not want to print any more. an IT guy told me they just do not last longer than 5 years due to software updates etc. so i had to go buy a new printer. all was fine for 20 days then this printer decided it did not want to print & gave me a message "damaged cartridge"?? ok??? i tried all the tips and advice from HP, still it would not print. i had to replace the cartridge (only after 20 days of buying this printer). then it worked with a new black cartridge!!. i called HP and they did tell me they would send me a new replacement cartridge since this is the one that came with the printer and it died in 20 days with very low printer use. i just feel they also try to get you to buy the cartridges on line, and i like to buy mine at Best Buy and use my 15% discount and my rewards $$$ The printer does print well, however, but asks for alignment pages too many times when replacing a new cartridge? maybe just a fluke, but it is annoying. The original set up was SUPER easy and the computer does everything for you. I am not even sure if buying a more expensive model is the answer here. check other reviews because my incidence HP said is 1 in 100

Absolutely love it because I can also print from my cell phone which is very convenient for me. This printer was the right purchase for my needs. I will say you can't go wrong with this purchase.

I loved how this was on clearance for me and it was a wireless printer. Works really well and prints really well too! Not very heavy at all and I like how relatively compact it is compared to other printers I’ve had. It takes HP 65 ink and already comes with a set of ink, which I do appreciate. This is a great printer for the price in my opinion!

Sleek, space saving, quiet and efficient. Extremely easy to set up, super user friendly. Perfect copies line up everything. Automatic 2 sided printing is a great feature I don't want to ever live without again. Printing from mobile phone and/or tablet is a breeze and exactly what I bought this printer for.

I bought this for my 90 year old mother therefore I needed something simple to use. It was an easy set up and she has no problems using it. Printing quality is just as good as any other printer. I'd buy one for myself as well if needed. Couldn't beat the price of this printer which all together is less than the replacement cartridges.

This printer exceeded. Our expectations considering we purchased it for $49.99. It prints well in B&W, and also color. It can copy, print, and scan to your computer which you can then email or save for future use. Also really love the instant ink feature with HP. Would 100% recommend this printer. Super easy set up.

I was skeptical that this would be a good printer due to the low cost. I chose HP because I like the brand. I found this printer to be very simple to setup, the copies are clear and the speed is amazing. I wanted a wireless printer/scanner that was simple but great quality and this printer delivered!

I bought this printer for occasional home use. It does exactly what it is supposed to do, easy to set up, good price. I usually have one sheet at a time scanning so it works for me. If you require multiple pieces of paper I would get one level up, but for us, this HP Envy 5055 works well.
