    HP Envy 5070 Printer

The HP Envy 5070 printer was returned due to multiple problems. I am not an IT expert, but I am IT literate. I had to install, uninstall and re-install the software multiple times over a period of three weeks. I had to check firewalls, download the HP Doctor, but continually had issues. Finally, the printer cam out of sleep mode and starting printing blank pages non-stop. I turned the printer off, disconnected power, etc. Each time I turned the printer back on, it would start printing paper out. The HP doctor did not uncover any issues. In addition, the HP Virtual Assistant was useless and it's impossible to Chat with a live technician to discuss the issues above.

It will not hook up to wireless, which from other reviews seems to be a common problem with this one.

Honestly I wish I could return this. It constantly disconnects from whatever laptop I have it connected too. I can’t get it to want to connect to my sons school laptop and it constantly wants me to use my phone to scan. I have to use the laptop because it is a school laptop. I have more trouble with this printer/scanner then any normal printer/ scanner

    Out of Box Failure

I purchased this printer for light home use. The setup encouraged (required?) an app to go on my mobile device, and I can't recall a printer setup taking longer! Finally got it printing and printed about 5 pages over the next two days, with the last print generating a paper jam error. The onscreen instructions directed me to open up the cover and remove the roller drive mechanism. No paper jam. I replaced (with a lot of difficulty) the roller drive mechanism and closed the lid. The paper jam would not go away. I reset the printer to factory settings and redid the setup, but it gave the paper jam message again. I returned to Best Buy where they refunded my money. Purchased the Epson XP-6100 and after 2 weeks very satisfied.

This printer eats the ink, I printed a report to find out that I printed 61 pages only and I have to purchase a new ink cartridge and also not available for pick up but shipping everywhere. I purchased this printer 10/11/2020 and today is 11/07/2020.

I am not satisfied in any way with this printer. It completely failed printing in black the first time I changed the cartridge. I bought the cartridge with the Instant Ink subscription. (The sticker which advertised the ink subscription was right on top of the printer lid, and it was held on with glue that is very difficult to completely remove.) Also, when I put the page to be scanned in its corner it sometimes slips past the corner into the machine, cutting off the top of the page, as far as scanning is concerned. If you are looking for a printer that is truly exceptional, my advice is don’t bother with this one. HP took a swing at the ball, but it definitely missed.

Slow, and very cheaply made. There is a flimsy little plastic arm to hold printed material. I bought it just as a second printer to use in a small apartment I stay in during my work week, and I would not otherwise bother with it. It prints and scans, was a bit clunky to set up, and it is fair at best.
