I'm not sure if I need therapy because of this printer, or whether sticking with this printer for over a year suggests I need therapy. It is, by far, the most user-unfriendly printer I have ever owned across most of the major providers. The HP Smart app is no help, and thanks to the lack of a menu on the printer, your only choice for operating it. The 'gimmick' of colored lights instead of a legit text display is, in my opinion, the single worst user interface since the advent of dot-matrix printing in the 1980's. To date my family and I have not had ONE print job that didn't require multiple attempts to submit the document, or in some cases having to reboot the printer for the app to recognize it, or (and this is my motivation for writing this review a year later) having the printer go to 'sleep', and having to unplug it to get it active again. Please, in my opinion, do yourself a favor and avoid this printer at all costs. Therapy sessions with a licensed psychiatrist are expensive.

Especially when the printer disconnects from WiFi constantly and when you reconnect it the printer prints test pages and wastes paper, the other day I kept printing test pages. I pulled the plug after the fifth one.

THE ENVY is the worse printer I have ever had the displeasure to use. It printers when it wants to not when needed. To copy is like pulling teeth from from an alligator.
